Sabres make it all better! 7 point butt kicking
Realist replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Just got back from the game and didn't want to start a new Sabres thread here. I know how some of the Bills only people tend to get. I don't know if anyone saw this on TV, but there were only about 11,000 people there. I thought these guys were the Stanley Cup Champions? No one goes to the freakin' games? I was absolutely shocked. I didn't expect a full house, but I thought it would be close to full. What a pathetic excuse for a fan base!!! How do you win the Stanley Cup and not show up to a game like this?!! On the flip side, great contingent of Sabres fans! Easily drowned out the Lets Go Canes chant with the "Lets Go Buffalo" chant. Sabres played absolutely fantastic in that first period. The three goals were great, finally able to put in a few during the first. I was getting worried about the way they would outplay the other team in the first and not be able to score. I was worried after Carolina tied it, but after Mair scored, you could see the 'canes deflate some. They weren't playing nearly as well after that. Biron looked a lot better tonight than his last couple of starts. My newest most hated player in the NHL...Eric Cole, what freakin' loser. Whines and cries all the time when anyone comes near him, but will give out any cheap shot he possibly can. I didn't realize he was that dirty of a player, just as bad as Darcy Tucker. -
Wake up people... this offense is brutal all the

Great post, zonabb!! It makes me sick after nine games, we still don't know anything about Losman. Is he the answer or not? Who knows, because its obvious that he can't be truly evaluated until he has something in front of him. With horrible OL and playcalling so conservative, we are going to go through this entire season knowing nothing new about JP. I was getting so tired of hearing yesterday, "3rd and long draw play to Thomas". You just knew what was going to happen the entire game. Not once did I think Buffalo had a chance in that game. This offseason, the scouting department must be overhauled and McNally needs to be sent packing. For an OLine genius, he has done nothing in his time here. -
Why do people still support Jp?
Realist replied to Oneonta Buffalo Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Please stop comparing JP to guys like Rivers and Palmer. If you're going to do a fair comparison, use the likes of Alex Smith and David Carr, talented guys with no team around them. -
Sorry, I would worry another second about it. He screwed himself over. Any friend or coworker that was worth a damn would have been helping out with no questions asked. I would have been royally pissed and wouldn't give it another thought.

Which is exactly why the Bills offensive gameplan this week will be to let Losman go crazy and pass all day.

Roll call for Sabres v. Canes next Monday?
Realist replied to eball's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I'll be there!! My wife's boss came through with some great seats. -
Yes, actually I've somewhat agreed with your theory for quite awhile now.
-
Thats what I think too. He finally dealt with his inner demons. I still think this is some sort of Virtual Reality psychological experiment. Eko came to grips with his turmoil and his part of the experiment is over. Just a theory.

They take MILFs seriously in the South

She didn't try and get away until she recognized her attacker? So when she's passed out drunk, she normally lets someone do that? WTF!? Trailer trash at its finest. -
IIRC, and this may be wrong in which case I'm sure to be corrected, the two teams that come in 1st and 2nd play the top two in the other division.
-
I'm just happy to see the coaches try and fix the real problem of this offense and not listen to all the armchair QB fans, and media. I'm not happy with Losman's play at the moment but lets try and get a decent line in here and see how he does.
-
Exactly, there is a hell of a lot more wrong with this team than just the QB. We have: OLine that can't block for the run or pass. Receivers that can't get open. Defense that can't stop the run. CB that can't cover. Defense that can't get off the field in critical situations. There is a lot more wrong with this team. If we change QB's absolutely nothing will change.

Adam Schefter of the NFL Network

This seems to be nothing more than his opinion. This would actually be a good time to have Losman concentrate more on his fundamentals. -
FLYERS - Clarke resigns, Hitchcock fired
Realist replied to bartshan-83's topic in Off the Wall Archives
And all around Philadelphia, Flyers fans rejoice. -
Very good post!! Football is a team game and right now its the team not getting it done. I for one am through with the McNally experiment. We haven't had an Oline in over ten years and the past several with McNally have not gotten any better. Thats one area of coaching that needs a change come this off-season.
-
He did that about 5 or 6 times yesterday. It looks like he hasn't changed.

Netflix without a doubt. Your movies come fast, sometimes the next day, if not, defintely within 2. Blockbuster never had the movies we wanted and it took longer to get them.

Hockey is BACK!!! Caniacs are in mid-season form
Realist replied to smokinandjokin's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Where did you hear that from? I tried to get tickets a while back at the RBC Center and they said it was sold out. So I got tix to a game later this year. -
I've seeen every Chicago game............
Realist replied to ChicagoRic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really don't see how so many of you can go picking the Bills to win on the road in Chicago. The Bears, with only a defense, were scary last year, this year with a potent offense as well, they are going to be tough to beat if you're one of the elite teams in the league, let alone if you are a young team still learning how to win. The only way the Bills come away with a victory next week, is if the Bears have a huge mental lapse after a great game last night. I'll give the entire offense a pass next week on criticism after that game. I don't see anyway the Bills OLine can handle Chicago's D. Buffalo needs to win the turnover battle big in this one in order to win. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm seeing a Chicago win, something like 26-13. -
How did the notion of JP being a turnover waiting
Realist replied to bluv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I read that and said WTF!!! That blurb was worse than anything ever posted here by the people that don't like Losman. At least his detractors here support there opinions with facts and such. This guy just said he doesn't look any better than last year. I think we all agree, even the detractors, that there has been obvious improvement over last year. -
When's the last time we played the Jests?
-
I agree with this. We're improved, but I'd hardly say we're good yet. There is still a lot of room for improvement. That game should have been put away where there was no need to worry near the end of the game.
-
Getting it in Carolina and its in HD, too!!!
-
Thats where I put the blame. If the D stops them on that 93 yard drive, all the momentum that NE got from the 4th down stop comes to a screeching halt.

A first rounder for Branch? The Pats got a steal on this one. Yes the Pats need receivers, but they knew Branch wasn't going to play for them. Thats a great move for New England. No way is Branch worth a first.
