  1. I stopped reading this thread for a while now, have we now decided that there is no need for human coaches to make decisions, all we need is a supercomputer with every possible variant to make the decisions?
  2. I don't doubt that one bit. I just hope the Bills put up 5 TD's. Nobody is discrediting what they Saints have done so far. This poster is just saying the Bills have a chance. Nothing wrong with that. No one said Buffalo was going to crush the Saints 'cause the Saints suck.
  3. Again, its only the second game of the season. Let's re-evaluate the division at the midway point. Its way too early to get any kind of trends after only 2 games. Last season Buffalo was going to win the division after two and Miami was in the sewer with no way out.
  4. TO needs to be re-signed. He has brought an attitude here with him that is only rubbing off in a positive way with his young teammates. An attitude that this team has missed since the early 90's. When the hell would DJ go for it on 4th down in his OWN territory, that took guts that he didn't have in prior years and it was TO in his ear on that. the past several years, everyone has been bitching that this team has no attitude, well guess what, we now have an attitude and half of you want him gone already. Owens has not only been drawing people off the line to cover him, but on running plays he's blocking hard downfield. Sure he hasn't caught as many balls as we would like to see, but he brings a number of positive tangibles to this team as well. Some day he will blow up, without a doubt, but I bet its because of players/coaches not trying and not for only selfish reasons. If TO starts yelling he needs to get the ball more, well, looking through the first two games, he needs to get the ball more. He needs to stay here for at least one more year.
  5. Maybe we should wait to judge until the bye week. Last year should be a reminder to that.
  6. Great post OC, nice analysis. If the Bills limit or even eliminate their mistakes, (turnovers, boneheaded playcalls, etc.) this looks like a game the Bills can win.
  7. If I were the Raiders or 'Skins, I might make a move for him. Any other team, not so much.
  8. I'm one of the biggest detractors of the Bills defense, but this week they were pretty damn good. If they continue to pressure the qb and create turnovers, that will be great. I really don't like the way they played against NE*, they gave up too many long, time consuming drives (I won't even get into the last two drives), but they did a much better job against Tampa.
  9. No question the FG was the safe and correct call in that situation. You always want it to be TD's that beat you not FGs. Two TD's to win is a lot less likely than a TD and a FG. The correct call was made there.
  10. The defense MUST get pressure on Brees and not let hm sit back there or he will tear the Bills apart. Even then, I'm not sure the Bills can steal this one.
  11. I'm surprised more 'experts' didn't pick against the Bills. Are the Bills that good that they should crush Tampa tomorrow? Hardly. Our defense can't get off the field and the Bucs had a ton of yards against Dallas, that's what worries me most about this game.
  12. Hopefully not a big deal if McGee misses the game then.
  13. I just read this whole thread, now I'm depressed and need a drink.
  14. The Bills defense is what really worries me. I'm not convinced they're as good as the score indicated early last week, I think they are more like the last two drives. Even early in the game they couldn't get off the field. Still, the Bucs are not the Pats*, Buffalo 23 Tampa 17
  15. Can you listen to the Bills games on 97Rock.com or are they "blacked out" at the time of the game? Just wondering if I need to spend $ to order Field Pass on NFL.com Thanks
  16. Awesome!! Can you bring a few hundred guests?
  17. I noticed this also, and that's the first thing I thought of when the Raiders scored, "same thing that happened with Watson, that's a TD." Then when they said incomplete, I was shocked. However, at the time I was glad they called Watson's a TD, it gave the Bills at least some time on the clock. The way the defense was playing, you just knew New England* was going to score the go ahead TD and I didn't want it to be with only a few seconds left.
  18. The No Huddle is not what hurt TOP, I believe Dan said above, the inability of the defense to stop 3rd downs was the major factor in the disparity of TOP.
  19. At no time did actually think they were going to win. When they got up by 11, I hoped they would win, but I never actually believed it and wouldn't have until the clock read all zeros with Buffalo in the lead. When McKelvin fumbled, I just shook my head and said "It figures."
  20. I just hope they go out and get an LB in free agency, but we know that won't happen.
  21. One thing I noticed or should say I didn't notice, did the Bills ever put Evans or Owens in motion? I think every play they just started from where they lined up.
  22. Moss and Welker were not double covered the entire game. Edwards took advantage of the double coverage on Evans and TO by going to the TE's and screens to Jackson. Also, Brady threw like 50 times, of course they're going to catch that many balls.
  23. That's exactly what Owens does for us, the opponent cannot key on the running game now because the Bills have two threats at WR now. If they do what the Pats* did yesterday it opens up the screens and short passing game. If they play up to the line and key on the RB's, and short passes, Evans and/or Owens beats them deep. This is just why the Bills need TO.
