This right here is the problem. The Red Zone inefficiency has nothing to do with EJ, people are talking about 3 missed passes, what about the multitude of rushes for only 1 yard. If you want success in the red zone, the running game must be working there. If a couple of those runs get 3 or 4 yards then your play action works that much better. I'm sorry, anyone blaming Manuel for the problem, to me is wrong. If the RB's and OL do their job we don't have problems.

I started both Gates and Rivers, so that guarantees Rivers 3 INT's 4 sacks 0 TD's and 112 yards. Meanwhile Gates gets 2 catches for 9 yards and a fumble.

This is going to be a tough game, Buffalo has always had trouble containing the TE, so I think Gates has another good day as Rivers dinks and dunks us all day. I doubt the fans will be nearly as loud as they were last week, I hope so, but I don't think it will happen. Red Zone problems continue for the Bills, they won't play bad, but just not enough to beat the Chargers. Chargers 24 Bills 20 - 2 Minute drill for Buffalo comes up short.

Keeping TJ doesn't do anything for the Bills right now. I'm going into training camp looking at TJ to have to prove he's worth a roster spot. At this time, he hasn't done anything to be a lock to make this team this year. I don't see anything wrong with bringing Britt in, as long as its not for 10 million or anything outrageous. Bring him in on an incentive laden contract. If he pans out great, if he doesn't cut him, if his off field crap continues, cut him.

There is a perfect situation where stats don't tell the whole story. Ed Reed was much more than just an INT guy. He was a strong cover guy, not just a centerfielder and when he hit someone he left a lasting impression on the receiver. When was the last time an opposing player said "Damn, that Byrd really hits hard." I like Byrd, but I don't think he's worth 9 mil/year. Will he have good stats with the Saints, absolutely, but that's because most teams play from behind when facing NO, so they have to throw the ball a lot more. As was mentioned earlier in this thread the future rides on QB play, if EJ does not become an above average to great QB, the losing will continue. It has nothing to do with Byrd or any other FA we lost. Right now the Bills are doing nothing more than shoring up some positions that need it. The one position I personally, would like to see a decent FA signing would be WR, in my opinion we don't have enough good weapons for EJ right now.

The Bills bring in garbage players to try out all the time, why not just bring him in for a shot during training camp. Doesn't hurt anything, if he proves to be weak-minded or whatever, cut him. If he turns out to be a good player, fantastic.
