  1. Don't worry, the same talking heads on the electromagneticity will be like "he's un idiot becuz Allen got like 6 YPP and running can't get more than 4 consistently!!!" Yet fail to mention that the 6 could become 7 or 8 if the defense is forced to respect an alternative way to gain effectively - and even 4 a carry on the ground can turn to 5 or 6 if you're wearing down the opponent. The trouble is that Allen isn't as sharp as the best QB's every day. That LA game he was ON. The last two have been closer to average as far as accuracy, ~ 66%. The other problem may be the latitude that's afforded Allen to call it on the fly. I think JA wants the ball. It's a great quality, but to just assume he's reading it right every time is risky. And don't worry, all those guys from above who hit the little bad emojis aren't really in charge of the footballs. Yeah Dungy & Garrett sound like Football 1970, but the Air Raiders aren't exactly right every time. Someone must win. Last year it was Stafford and the Rams, not looking any more potent through the air than Buffalo or KC or Cincy. There are other factors.
  2. Obviously Miami is going to be hot, but there are 4:25pm game slots to take it out of the worst. It's not like FIFA kept the Qatari World Cup in June played at Noon. The only way the Dolphins can win is to cheat.
  3. They score touchdowns on nearly every opening drive.
  4. Don't think it's a stretch to believe that their CB drafting strategy was dictated by some unease about the situation. We get so used to these things being quite routine and full recoveries are made that it's easy to take for granted. Hopefully that's not the case, and they're just taking every precaution to make sure that when he returns he can get as close to his pre-injury form as possible.
  5. Yeah they should put up a big Joshy billboard overlooking the field.
  6. Man, I sure am glad that the league isn't actively doing business with bookmakers, because this would sure look like a fix job (especially the Browns coverage guy along the sideline on the onside kick who just seems to stare into space and do nothing).
  7. The key to all of this is the offense. As long as they don't get bogged down in too many games, 1 or 2 mistakes by a rookie can be overcome. But if these come in a game similar to LAR where turnovers (or penalties) kill off too many drives, that's when it will get hairy.
  8. Definitely Miami's best chance since Allen's taken over the division. The Bills defense needs to minimize any mistakes in the defensive backfield. This game becomes a lot more hairy (in my opinion) if it's close at the end - from watching the end of Dolphins/Ravens, McDaniel has a very good grasp on the tactical side of head coaching - which is probably McDermott's biggest weakness. The last thing you want is for this team to get sloppy & give Miami a chance. And so far the talent gap they enjoy has overcome the sloppy times in the first two contests.
  9. Maybe there is already analysis of the Ravens' defensive mistakes in that 4th quarter. My guess is that their new DC, a Martindale and Pees disciple, made the mistake of continuing to blitz Tua and 1v1 Hill and Waddle were enough to burn them deep. This would be the opposite of what Frazier and McDermott want to do in most situations, and thus while there's a good chance you'll see Hill and Waddle make some hay against green corners, they will play heavy coverage hoping to put Tua under distress through the front 4.
  10. You must be fun at self-loathing parties.
  11. At least he's a competent offensive coordinator. Seems like Belichick wanted to get Patricia back in the house without taking any power/standing in the org from his kids.
  12. Your win total seems awfully generous. I imagine they can beat the Jets and Bears at home, maybe get one over on the Lions and away @ARI. Next week @PIT is a pretty big barometer for where they're going, they lose that one and 4-13 seems realistic unless Belichick wakes up and hires Sean Payton or something.
  13. Sorry, Allen proved 2 years ago he belongs in the talk of top 5 QB's and Collinsworth has continued to throw shade. You can forgive the 75% because almost every single one of them ditched it as soon as Josh had that Thanksgiving game in 2019 vs Dallas. <insert proverbial fruit comparisons>
  14. I listen for the latter half.
  15. I mean, those deep balls are just a piece of cake to connect on every time.
  16. So is Belichick trying to set up his son for Pick #1 as he rides off into the sunset? Or possibly Patricia? I could see Belichick believing that Patricia is him reincarnate - good DC, goes to disaster franchise and struggles, becomes head coach at a wicked hawdcoah team and wins like 6 Supah Bowls.
  17. Man, why couldn't we have just kept Bojorquez?
  18. Yeah it sucks when you draft 'punt god' to distract the media from your defense blowing a lead with 13 seconds left, then he blows up in your face too.
  19. It could be a felony, until the Defense Attorney calls the witnesses he claims he interviewed who will testify she was telling people she was attending "Grossmont College" and that she was 18. Then my understanding would be that, given her indicating that she was of age, the protections of the statutory rape laws would be lost. I'm not here explicitly to defend Araiza. In fact I feel they should release him so that he can focus on this rather than football.
  20. Lawyer is probably on a retainer with Robert Kraft.
  21. I'm just saying that this lawyer sees no endgame without trying to press into the Media to do the work the justice system won't (or can't). That makes the endgame: 1) Enhance media sympathy for client 2) Get media to harangue employer for being inconsiderate of sympathetic client's plight 3) Leave employer with no choice but to cut ties and save face 4) Defendant punished with losing livelihood, just desserts for an uncorroborated rape (in their minds), and maybe enough comes in the civil suit to get an award that pays off the lawyer and gives the victim some kind of feeling of justice.
  22. "Hi, my name is Bull Buchanan, welcome to my illiterate world" Blame is tough. I'd blame him and his buddies for being stupid and screwing everything this side of Luxembourg. If that's your life, drinking & ****ing, there are a host of problems that may come your way.
  23. Yes and all of this plays straight with Mr. Greaseball Lawyer doing a Twitter dump trying to get the Buffalo media to order up the public square flogging.
  24. If you ever thought the Beasley vaxx situation had an impact on the slooooooow start this team had in 2021, this has the potential to be that x100. At least with Beasley you had a guy with a valuable skill-set who contributed in past years to your success. Not only is Araiza unproven in meaningful pro games, some might even argue the punter is relatively replaceable in most circumstances. Beane & McDermott should be amassing a group of the team leaders and interacting over this. In the end, if your players want no part of this circus, then get on the horn to some other punters and let this guy focus on his personal issues.
  25. The more you see into the personal lives of college football players, the more that you have to wonder if "human being" is the right classification...
