  1. I changed my vote. I still do not think they get the team. I believe their original plan was to buy the team with the usual lip service to keeping the team here. I believe they were willing to accept the backlash of Bills Fans not showing up for the 2015 Season, thereby allowing them to restart the Bills in Toronto Series. IIRC the lease mandates they play 50%of their home games at RWS and they would use the excuse of poor attendance to schedule 4 games in Toronto and 4 in RWS. Rogers and Tannebaum would use their influence to generate millions in corporate support attempting to prove to the NFL the team should play all their games in Toronto. Then in 2020 they would pay the relocation fee to move permanently to Toronto. Starting in 2020 they would have played at the Rogers Centre while their new stadium is constructed. They just did not count on WNY's Fairy God Billionaires Terry and Kim Pegula
  2. This could be the reason why. http://blogs.canoe.ca/krykslants/nfl/exclusive-toronto-group-bidding-on-bills-allowed-to-submit-higher-first-bid-and-must-provide-greater-assurance-it-would-not-relocate-team-sources-say/ Sounds like the trust is looking for more non relocation assurance
  3. Why is Woods still playing?
  4. That's not going to help Lewis's cause
  5. Wait you can't tackle before the ball is thrown?
  6. Greenberg only gets paid for his services if his client is successful in obtaining the team. Given this fact, Greenberg chosing to work with the Pegulas speaks volumes. As far as the Sabres go, I am sure that Pegula himself would mention that he made a mistake by not replacing Darcy shortly after his purchase. That being said Darcy did set up the Sabres for future success with some of his deals. I do find the timing of this news interesting. After learning Kiko was out for the season and a dark cloud covered all of Bills Nation, it was like the Pegulas said " Don't worry Bills Fans, everything is going to be alright.."
  7. Matt Sabuda the Director of BFA was on with Sal C. on Sports Talk Saturday about a month ago. He mentioned he had met with two possible ownership groups who like to keep the team in WNY. He was probably told the team is safe and that their assistance would not be necessary with the purchase of the team. They could be waiting until the purchase is complete to start raising funds to contribute to a new stadium, perhaps to defray some of the costs of PSLs? BTW the two new members of the board of directors are Celeste Albone and Brian Smith.
  8. Imagine if a new stadium is built downtown and the Sabres play the Maple Leafs at home on a Friday or Saturday Night and the Bills have a Sunday Home Game. That should increase the number of Toronto Fans coming to the games.
  9. This is the most EPIC Fail on a Segway http://www.huffingto...s_n_739983.html
  10. The Hoodie should receive a year suspension
  11. Only if the team he owns now finished in 30th and the one he would like to buy has not made the playoffs in 14 years.
  12. Yes Delaware North would get the concession contract probably for the life of the stadium and possibly naming rights to the stadium as well.
  13. This all makes sense. Shortly after buying the Bills he bought Todd France's NFL Player Agency because he wanted to learn the business of the NFL. Ed Kilgore mentioned in one of his final TV Sportscasts that he knows of a group that is interested in the Bills and would help with a new stadium. He leaves his job at WGRZ and accepts a job with the Harborcenter built by Pegula. Now this happens. Think he is the top candidate for 2015 Class of the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame if he buys them?
  14. The Corporate Sponsors that Tannebaum could bring from Toronto and the Bills stay in WNY. I would be happy with this.
  15. Mike Rodak ‏@mikerodak 2m ESPN NFL Insider @adamcaplan reports that Kiko Alonso had offseason surgery on a torn labrum and recovery time is 4-6 months. Puts him on track for TC Chris Trapasso ‏@ChrisTrapasso 11m Kiko's agent. MT @Caricsportsmgt: Kiko Alonso will not miss 4-6 months. Underwent procedure in Jan, rehab going great, will b ready for camp
  16. No, the most recent tweet he sent out was about the subject was on May 21st. He gave them a 90% chance of staying. https://twitter.com/ByTimGraham/status/469064958547070976
  17. From Sunday's News Another hopeful sign. Also discusses why LA is not ready for a NFL Team http://www.buffalone...-to-la-20140524
  18. I still think Terry Pegula is going to be a prospective bidder for the Bills. For a couple of reasons. 1. In Sept 2011 he purchased a NFL Player Agency owned by Todd France, because he wanted to learn the business side of the NFL. 2. Ed Kilgore, former Sports Director at WGRZ Channel 2 in Buffalo, had a report shortly before he left which stated he has personal knowledge of a potential ownership group that would like to purchase the team and help build a new stadium in WNY for them. He left Channel 2 a few months later to go to work for Pegula. 3. As we all know, Thurman tweeted a while back that he has done something to help ensure the Bills Future in Buffalo. A short time later he started retweeting posts from one of the Pegula's Daughters for awhile. (Yes I realize this is a probably a HUGE coincidence, but who knows) Pegula has demonstrated his willingness to spend his own money and would probably contribute at least 200 million towards a new stadium. All of this may amount to nothing, but we will have to see.
  19. [ Now that prospective ownership groups will start making their bids, I have a hunch we are going to start hearing about Pegula's Interest. IIRC the first time Buffalo Sports Fans heard about his interest in the Sabres was when Bucky Gleason from the News published an article about him in Nov 2010. He officially took over about three months later in February 2011. He appears to be the type who operates below radar.
  20. Tim Graham ‏@ByTimGraham 14m I'm told a Toronto-based group interested in buying the Bills is reconsidering because moving might be too difficult.
