  1. Apparently Marrone flew to NJ to meet with Pettin immediately after his introductory press conference. I guess he really wanted him.
  2. Tannehill was considered a reach at the same spot last year. You are drafting a guy who will be with the same OC as he was for the past three years as well as the same HC. Nassib knows this offense and his learning curve to the NFL should be less steep. The Bills Scouting Staff now has inside information which is pretty much guaranteed never to be shared with any other team. If the Bills are on board, so am I.
  3. Nassib, Alex Smith if the price is right. Fitz to be the backup. He is a good teacher and would help Nassib. He would need to restructure his contract
  4. Knowing Nassib's strengths and weaknesses puts the Bills in the best position to make the decision on him. He would be in the unique situation that he knows Hackett's Offensive inside and out. It would allow him to take a leadership role as he could be instrumental in teaching the offense to veterans. Also his learning curve jumping from college to the NFL would be easier as he knows the offense already. This would allow him to concentrate on learning to read NFL Defenses. Brad Riter has a great take on the situation. http://www.trendingb...in-first-round/

  6. Richard Deitsch ‏@richarddeitsch Wake up the cash register. MT @SIPeteThamel Notre Dame source tells me expected result of Kelly's NFL flirtation is a raise & an extension. Another good take
  7. Great stuff. Tannehill probably was not worth the eighth last year, but if you want your guy, you have to go get him when you can.
  8. Taylor Lewan is staying in school. Besides the strength of the Bills is their OL, why spend a high pick on a position of strength when they have so many other weaknesses.
  9. It's a different type of change. Is it the right type, we will find out soon enough. I am on board with it.
  10. It's great to be ahead of the curve for once
  11. Probably 8th, hopefully they do not mortgage the future and trade up to get him. Or make a deal with him, suck at the Senior Bowl, Combine and Pro Day and the Bills will draft you in the second round.
  12. "Obviously, with the coordinators, we want people that have thorough NFL experience, as far as especially on the defensive side of the ball," Marrone said Monday. "Offensively, we want people with NFL experience. For our coordinators, we want to make sure they've been in this league." Quotes from the press conference.
  13. I suppose it is better to be one year too early hiring him, then one year too late.
  14. Brian Ayrault ‏@BrianAyrault Hackett ran the K-Gun offense at Syracuse this year. Hackett picked up the offense from Jim Kelly and AVP when he was the QCC in BUF
  15. From his agent Brian Ayrault ‏@BrianAyrault The Bills just made a GREAT OC Hire! Congrats to Nathaniel Hackett. Very innovative coach...the K-Gun is back in Buffalo!
  16. Brent Axe ‏@BrentAxeMedia Hackett's offense set all kinds of records at Syracuse this season. One of the most prolific in the history of SU. And it was fun to watch.
  17. Is Berman's Taxicab Driver reporting Ryan Nassib with the Bills Eighth Selection yet?
  18. I am a little less concerned about Hackett being named OC, then who is named DC. Marrone's influence should be evident on Offense.
