  1. Your point to asking this question is what?
  2. When John Elway came into the league he was considered the Michael Vick of his time. He would pull it down and run with the best of them.
  3. Pre Season ended and the real season started!
  4. Go back too sleep. There is too much to tell!
  5. Your just not bored enough!
  6. We are a testy bunch today. You see so many people are always saying on this board that JP is no good - but when you suggest a trade all of a sudden you have to get value or somebody in return who is as good or better then JP. If you think JP is not going to be your QB of the future then this trade gets him off your payroll with something in return. Maybe Fitzpatrick is a one game wonder? But you are not bringing him in with pressure to be the savior of the franchise. Maybe Fitzpatrick is another Brady! Who knows for shure at this point but I will say this much, he has a good arm and is a lot more mature and has better football instincts then JP does right now. JP has far better talent. I do agree with most of you that say give JP another year but you do realise that if JP does what he did this year and gets benched again he will have no value to any other team. Everybody will just wait for us to cut him and then pick him up. It's a hard decision. One that could make or break a GM and Coach unless JP becomes the franchise QB and does well. I would make the trade and start from scratch. I would not want my job to depend on JP. He is too risky.
  7. St Louis might do this because of the great talent and arm of the great JP and they would be trading for a former 1st round pick- and what they would consider -- their future franchise QB. Of course we know better. J P will take too long to mature before he is a franchise QB. Very much like Jake Plummer.
  8. St Louis - 3 rd round pick this year and Ryan Fiztpatrick QB. I would in a heartbeat. Fairchild thinks Fitzpatrick can run his offense in the future. Holcomb can run it now. What do you think?
  9. That's for sure. Fisher trying to drum up business for his pick. NFL Network is a joke to rate this kid over Leinart also.
  10. No not much to learn, much to question! This is an old story recycled because the news doesn't bother to ask the right questions. Why did the News not ask a simple question? Is this hire with Jerry Gray's knowlege or the New DC's blessing or is this a new hire by the new HC with out Jerry Grays imput? That question of course would open the door up to a ton of follow up questions. This is a garbage report.
  11. What the frig does this mean? Is he fired or not? Is our new DC on one of the Super Bowl teams and they don't want to anounce it ? How do you hire a new D-line coach when you are firing your DC? Did the new DC ok the new D-line Coach? Is the New DC the Linebacker coach from Pittsburg? Help me someone please this is a strange way to do things?
  12. To Assland where you live. Or is that Iceland ? I always get that mixed up!
  13. At 16 you are way too smart for this board. Great post Kid.
  14. Well maybe Chuck!
  15. This saying would be all over the training camp and stadium locker room. NOBODY IS SAFE !
  16. That depends are you still going to pick the same player you were going to pick anyway? And then try to pay him less money- but wind up paying him the same amount anyway? If so then go right ahead!
  17. Trading down would be great except you have to find someone who wants to trade up. And then it has to be for the right price. You must prepare yourself to pick the pick that you are at. Those players I have suggested are all worthy of the #8th pick in the draft --and you agree. So why bail out of the #8 pick if there is a player that you think is worthy of that pick. This trade down stuff is starting to drive me crazy. It seems like that's everybodies answer on this board because they are afraid to make a pick and to have that pick fail in the future. Don't be so wimpy (LoL) Make a pick. The answer is not, "I would trade down" Because the likely hood of trading down in a draft is minimal. Make the dam pick!
  18. Of course it wasn't the only reason - but you can bet that if there was a tie, then that was the deciding reason.
  19. I know one thing and one thing only. If I owned a team I would never hire a man who stood up in front of America and accused other players and admitted himself of using steroids. I would not have that person become the face of my franchise for fear that he would start to talk and write a book and bring all sorts of attention to himself and use my franchise as a podium to do this with. I do not think that you will see another team in the NFL hire him ever again. He will get plenty of interviews but he will not be hired. That is just my personal opinon. I'm sure that I'm wrong but that is how I feel. You have to protect your franchise from being tainted. If he writes a tell all book anyway there is nothing you can do about it but at least he will not do it while he was employed by me.
  20. We picked a coach that would not Invest himself on either side of the ball. That's why he picked DJ over Sherman. Sherman wants to be his own OC and that is not how Ralph or Marv feel a HC should run the team. It's just that simple.
  21. Pick Mathias Kiwanuka - DE Boston College Michael Huff - DB Texas Babatunde Oshinowo - DT Standford a real sleeper but moving up the boards fast Maurice Stovall - WR Notre Dame
  22. Watch for the OT from Boise St. He is going to jump up the boards and into the 1st round. If not he would be my pick in the 2nd for the Bills.
  23. Never draft a talented player who is an underachiver in college. He will do the same thing in the pro's. There are better OT's in this draft.
