  1. I could not agree more. I am so sick and tired of these guys trying to make the news instead of reporting it. This was a very good piece. Informative and factuall with actual names of people he talked too. What more could you ask for? Or do you just want the garbage becauser it excites you! It seems you can't handle the truth!
  2. ESPN-- Making the news instead of reporting the news. How could they know this type of information? Why would anybody that is in the room interviewing give out information like this at this point of the interviews? Somebody has to stop these guys. Between NFL network and ESPN the reporting just keeps on getting worse.
  3. KFFL is reporting that Alex is being considered for the Packers QB coach position. When it rains it pours. Good luck Alex
  4. I have to say you have a good point. Especialy when you think that Vasher is a dam good CB.
  5. Sorry I insulted you. You need to lighten up a bit.
  6. They have interviewed Bobby, and Marv must have a feeling about Ron already from his work in Chi- town. I just don't see Marv or Ralph looking at some other teams knock offs for a Head Coach. I do see them interviewing so many coaches because they are looking for all three positions. I would bet Bobby is already the pick. All of these interviews are because they need to develope a pool of coaches that Bobby can pick from for the OC and DC posiitons. As far as Haslett is concerned, If you were Ralph I would not hire someone who accused your team of using Roids in public or private? I know Ralph knows about those comments and it embarrassed him through out the league. I don't care what ESPN is reporting Haslett is not going to happen. I got all of this from my deeeeeep source within the the Bills inner circle. The woman who vacuuuums the office told me so. Or is it the man who does the floors? I get so corn-fused sometimes!
  7. Vanderjackass? I don't think so!
  8. He is quoted as saying that he has not even been contacted yet! This is a joke. Again reporters making the news instead of reporting the news.
  9. You mention Jim Mora- I wonder if Marv would look at him?? Personal I don't know how I feel about that but it is an idea!
  10. What exactly do you mean by "Consider the Source" ? Do you mean that because we disagree and your argument lacks merit that my factual aurgument is wrong? You still have not come agross with anything that surports why the Bills should hire a coach that has failed other then to say you think we should give him a chance. Now you are suggesting that a coach (Jim Bates) with a back round of success should not be given a chance. What could be your reasoning behind this? Because you like the other guy better? You need to put a hell of a lot more thought into what you say. Right now the Haslett coaching idea is a joke because he has not done a very good job. If you think MM has not done a good job after two years then I'm sure you can agree that Haslett has not done a good job in five years. Consider that!
  11. You got to be kidding me. That is so weak after the Browns were did Belichick go and what did he do. Hint N J Jets ring a bell as an assistant. Please ! This is a joke right?

  14. I don't know what the hell this is> Is this some op- ed. You need to gain your own opions about a coach not look at an article written by somebody who is just trying to promote someone. The fact is that Haslett has done nothing as the head coach of the Saints to warrent him being hired as a head coach for another team. If he wants to stay in the NFL then he should return to a DC position and re-establish his abilities. It's that simple. Don't pull up an op-ed piece to try and prove your point. That's just garbage!
  15. Marv should know this guy. He did radio for the Bears the last two seasons. This just might be the pick.
  16. Think before you answer !! Jim Bates Defensive Coordinator NFL Exp: 15th Season Packers Exp: 1st Season A veteran of 14 NFL seasons and 37 campaigns overall in the coaching profession, Jim Bates in 2005 begins his first year in Green Bay as the club's defensive coordinator. Named to the position Jan. 31, 2005, by Head Coach Mike Sherman, the 59-year-old Bates brings to the Packers a fiery intensity and proven record of coordinator success. As defensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins the past five seasons (2000-04), Bates' units ranked fifth in the NFL. Only the Buccaneers (281.4 yards/game), Steelers (282.5), Ravens (286.4) and Bills (293.1) played better defensively than Miami (294.8) through the course of those five campaigns. His defense ranked in the top 10 after each season, including 2004, when it ranked eighth despite losing four starters to injured reserve; the team ranked sixth in 2000, fifth in 2001, third in 2002 and 10th in 2003. Against the pass, the Dolphins entered the final week of the '04 season leading the league, but wound up second (162.0 yards/game). Miami's passing defense did pace the NFL in 2001, and ranked fifth in 2000, eighth in 2002 and 19th in 2003. Against the run, his squad did not allow a 100-yard rusher over a 20-game stretch that included the last four games of 2002 and the entire '03 campaign. On an individual level, Bates' units produced 18 Pro Bowl selections (eight players) in five seasons. Bates' tenure in Miami included a 3-4 record over the final seven games of the 2004 season as the club's interim head coach, including a 29-28 win over eventual Super Bowl Champion New England, Dec. 20. Prior to his time in Miami, Bates served as the Dallas Cowboys' linebackers coach (1996-97) and assistant head coach/defensive line (1998-99). His first foray into the NFL was on Bill Belichick's staff as linebackers coach of the Cleveland Browns (1991). After coaching the Browns' defensive ends for two seasons (1992-93), he served one year as Atlanta's defensive coordinator (1994), before returning to Cleveland as secondary coach (1995). Took over as an interm coach and did a hell of a job with a team that was a mess. That's a good coach!!!
  17. Yes- Monty Kiffen Buccs DC- Jim Bates Packers DC - Tim Lewis DC Giants although he is young and I don't know his resume'- So if you want to jump on me about that I guess you could. I think Bobby April just might be a good HC. Tom Moore OC- Colts. A few others. I can get back to you if you would like me too!
  18. You have a point, except Haslett is no Belichick. What Super Bowl team or teams or playoff teams has Haslett been a part of the coaching management ? I'm not sure what his resume' is or what it includes but I just bet that Belichcik before he was the HC for NE had a much better track record then Haslett has now or ever had.
  19. Excellent choice.
  20. No - not at all. He is as good a pick as any. He has been in the league a long time and has gone through good and bad times with a team. He has good people skills and has had to deal with all types of players offense and defense. He has as good a chance as anybody that would be brought in here to be the HC. The players respect him on defense and offense and he should know some good coaches to help him out.
  21. I bet he could not decide!
  22. Brett Farve has run that team for the last six years. He decides who stays and who goes. He decides who the coaches will be and controlls all the on field decisions. Mike is like a robot or a Sock Puppet. He is another coach that can not make decisions. He is a very nice man but he is not a good Head Coach. You guys remember Wade Philips? Well Mike might as well be his twin brother.
  23. What really drives me crazy is ESPN or NFL network reporting that Haslett has the inside track. How in the hell would they know when MM had just left less the 24 hours? I hate it when they make up the news. Haslett has been the coach of the Saints for about five years. Ditka left along time ago. Haslett has had plenty of drafts and free agent signings to make his team competitive and he hasn't been able to do it. Bad owner my ass. It's not like they haven't spent all the cap money every year. Or they drafted High School players! This is a bad Head Coach who has had all the power and money that he needed to field a competitive team. I would look at Monty Kiffen DC Tampa- Jim Bates DC Packers and a hell of a lot of other coaches -- way before I would even interview Haslett.
  24. He is a bigot and a putz!
  25. He had tremendous talent with the Saints and did nothing. All he did was whine this year and never once showed any leadership skills. He is a pitiful Head Coach and no way should he come to Buffalo as a Head Coach. I don't know how or why anybody in the press at this point would have a clue if the Bills are interested in him. MM has not even walked out the door. The intrest in Haslett is a bogus report.
