My point exactly!! Nic Harris ought to be playing! Just my opinion, no facts to support it.
-
Ahhhh, maybe because they are the same guys that felt Buggs would do fine in the middle. If this was just about any other coaching staff I give them the benefit of knowing whats best for the team. This whole organization has a problem with evaluating talent. Evidence - Dockery, Walker, Kelsey, McCargo, Simpson, Parrish, Losman, Preston, (last year's starting center, whose name slips my mind). Need anymore?

You are really impressed with yourself aren't ya. What exactly have you done to substantiate your positions? What you have claimed throughout this thread is "your" speculative opinion. Yet, you challenge other opinions stating they fail to be supported by facts. Bottom line in this thread is, in my opinion, not supported by fact (sorry), Harris ought to be starting this weekend. Our coaching staff, in my opinion, yeah I know, not supported by facts, is too inept to see this. It's this same ineptitude, or lack of foresight, that has us fielding an entire OL consisting of a first time starter at C, 2 rookies at G, and 2 journeyman (if that) at T. They also field a team with 2 WRs that can stretch the field, but have a QB who is afraid to throw the ball down field. I could go on and on, but its all just more speculation. Forgive me.

For the life of me I can't understand why Nic Harris is not starting this week. With Mitchell moving to MLB, why are Palmer and Ellison playing and Harris not. This kid showed himself to be a monster in the pre-season. He's a rookie, but so is Palmer, he'll make rookie mistakes, but Ellison has already made more stupid mistakes in the last three games than most rookies make in a season. I just don't get it. And I don't buy anymore that the coaching staff knows better who should start. Have ya noticed that this coaching staff has a way of eventually doing things that the fans have tossed around. What is really screwed up is it isn't because they come to boards like this and get ideas from us. It just seems like they are the last ones to see the obvious and are always two steps behind playing catch up. Bills fan for life, but it has come with such a painful price!

Would You Trade For Leinart?
Mr. T replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't trade for Tom Brady with the coaching staff we have. -
After only two games TO is already showing signs of the old TO. With a very young and upcoming group of players that will begin to wear on them negatively. I really am beginning to feel very good about the difference Van Pelt is making in the play calling. If Hardy can come back soon and develope decently during the course of the year I would not be very surprised if the Bills let TO and traveling roadshow hit the road at the end of the year. The only way TO will be happy is if he continues to get the ball thrown his way and he scores at least 9 more TDs. If that happens he'll demand a "BIG" raise with a long term contract. Not what the Bills need.

Why would you not want to see him make the skins?! The man is trying to FINALLY get his act together and live up to something close to his potential. He's literally working his butt off and you don't want him to succeed because it would make you feel bad becuase he's not on the Bills. Hope you never screw up and need another chance.

Real pizza, real Buffalo chicken wings, saline hotdogs, Rick Azar, Irv Winstein, Tom Joles, sneaking into the Aud to watch Sabre games from up in the nose bleed sections (standing of-course), being able to watch all the Bills games on TV without having to pay for direct TV, Wegmans, snow days out of school, pick up football games on any open field available, street hockey, skipping a day of school to go to Niagria Falls, the Buffalo Braves, the French Connection, OJ before the fall, Caz park, Erie county fair, the Drive-Ins, walking around downtown Buffalo before the trolley cars screwed it all up, exploring the old train station at the end of Main street before it was demolished, wondering if the Bills would ever play in a Super Bowl.

Ahhhhhh, he was 70 something years old. Maybe sex-related is a limp possibility.

Former Buffalo Brave & Buff St Grad Randy Smith died
Mr. T replied to bills44's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone else hear on the NBA broadcast tonight about Randy Smith dying today of a heart attack? Alot of memories of him at his prime with the Braves. -
Reed is not going anywhere! The man has become the most dependable, most all-around (blocking) wr on the team. Hardy is safe for at least 1 more year, teams don't give up on a 2nd rounder that soon. If anyone other than Parrish, it could be Johnson. Everyone on this board raves about him, but he hasn't had enough action to prove himself yet. However, Johnson has much more to grow as a wr, Parrish is what he is, a great return guy with other great return guys on the team (McKelvin, McGee). Sorry, but it appears Parrish is the odd man out.

McShay just gave us the best draft
Mr. T replied to bartshan-83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
ummmm, be careful when making comments about whatever Oakland would do. Big Al probably got rid of Walker when he found out he couldn't run the 40 in less than 4.5 seconds. -
The Bears have a certain "wr" who is only good at returning kicks. They don't seem to have problem keeping him around.
-
?????????????? Why would you feel you offended me? Are you "reaching" for a conflict. There is none here to be had.
-
I don't understand why some people keep saying we gave up 2 draft choices for Levitre. We exchanged our 3rd rd pick for an additional 2nd rd pick. "We didn't have this 2nd pick up!" To do this we gave up a 4th rd pick. All we "gave" away was the 4th rounder.

Oh if I had only been born in Pittsburgh not Buffalo

Oh if I had only been born in Pittsburgh not Buffalo
Mr. T replied to Mr. T's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No thanks, than I'd have to be a Cowboys fan. -
Having been born and raised in Buffalo, I've been a die hard Bills fan my entire life. I left Buffalo in 1976 when I enlisted in the Air Force. Spent 24 years in the Air Force moving from place to place but was always a very vocal Bills fans. After retiring from the Air Force I settled in Virginia, home of many Redskin diehard fans. I'm still one of the lone voices in the wilderness crying out "Go Bills"! Where I work, however, there are quite a few die hard Steelers fans. These are real Steelers fans, not band wagon types. Born and raised in the Pittsburgh area. I watch them come to work this morning and can't help but wonder what it must feel like to watch your team win not one, not two, but "six" Super Bowls. O well............GO BILLS!

First off let me say that no one will really know how next's year schedule will be until about mid way through the schedule. Too many factors, injuries, free agent acquistions, draft etc. But for those of you who are convinced it will be a killer for the Bills, I'm not so sure. 1st - Jets may continue their slide. More than likely no Farve. QB? 2nd - Dolphins could very well be this year's Cleveland Browns. Everything went right for them this year. 3rd - Patriots will still be the Patriots, but they continue to get old and this year's injuries began to show that. 4th - Tampa Bay could implode during the off season after their melt down this year. 5th - Houstan is like Forest Gumps box of chocolate, never know what ya gona get. 6th - Cleveland and KC are .......Cleveland and KC 7th - Jacksonville could be 12-4, 8-8, or 5-11 8th - Tennessee could be this year's Jacksonville 9th - Atlanta and Carolina, refer to Jacksonville 10th - Indy will always be tough, as long as Manning is playing, but what happened to Brady this year? Things happen. 11th - New Orleans I think will be really strong next year, as long as Brees stays healthy. 12th - Bills, well, we have Dick Jauron leading the way. Ahhhhh, o.k. anyway, Lynch, Edwards are entering their 3rd year together. Defense may finally enjoy a year with limited injuries. Key FA and draft pick ups could make a difference. I know everything here is pure speculation, but so is saying next year's schedule is going to be brutal. Hey, one of my buddies is a Dolphins fan. (I live in Virginia, there are all kinds of football fans here) A year ago he watched his team go 1-15, this weekend he's watching them play in a playoff game. The Bills could go 1-15 next year, but they could just as well go 11-5. I ain't predicting, I'm just hoping for the best.

0-8 in division, 4-0 against AFC West?????
Mr. T replied to Mr. T's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My bad, what was I thinking? Ya know you'll just have to trust me, I'm not normally that far out in left field. Its nice to see that EVERYONE caught that mistake. Alright, 0-6 in division if we lose this Sunday. And I wasn't making much reference to AFC West. Just that losing all games within your own division, and yet beating all teams in another division the same year seems rather unique. -
O.K., I know I asked this question yesterday, but maybe the way I titled the topic it got very little interest. But I'm really curious how often this has happened in the past with any team. If the Bills lose this Sunday they go 0-8 in their own division. Yet they have gone 4-0 against all the teams in the AFC West. Just seems like a very unlikely scenario that probably hasn't happened much, if ever before. Hey, we've talked about just about everything else already. Just looking for a change a pace.

Lose all in division, but, how many times has this happened?
Mr. T replied to Mr. T's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Must be the title that makes no one wants to read. -
The OL has been the target of what is wrong with the running game. However, have ya noticed that when Jackson runs he seems to almost always pick up good yards. He hits the holes "fast" and hard. Marshawn runs hard all the times but I'm not so sure he gets to the line as quick as Jackson. I'm not saying that Jackson should be starting, what I'm saying is Marshawn could help out the OL a little by being more decisive and quick to the holes. Flame away.

Actually I was comparing him to JP, Bledsoe, Johnson, and even Flutie. Even Flutie when he felt pressure would simply take off on his feet, wildly scrambling. Sometimes he would make something happen, alot of times he wouldn't give the play a chance to develope. Kelly had a sense of the pocket, but he was very slow footed and many times couldn't get out of his own way, let alone move away from the pass rush. So there, comparing Trent to many of the past Bills QBs was my intent.
