I'm ALL for this! Bring back Bell at a reasonable price and than draft the best LT available. This ensures the Bills have a serviceable LT to start the season with. If the LT the Bills drafts takes off in the preseason, and is ready, than he moves ahead of Bell. But he won't have to be counted on immediately. If Bell gets injured (again) the rookie is there to step in. If the rookie struggles Bell is there as insurance. Either way it gives the Bills something they haven't had in years, Depth. Injuries have killed the team due to an incredible drop off in talent when injuries take their toll. Again, I really hope the Bills resign Bell, and than draft a top flight LT if he is available.

Is anyone else avoiding certain threads
Mr. T replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow, if I wanted to be ignored I would just talk to my wife. -
While we are at it lets also move Jasper to Free Safety. With our new D Line QBs will NEVER get a pass off anyway.

My Prediction (Guess) of Sack Totals This Season
Mr. T replied to Mr. T's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No offense intended, but your #s add up to 56 sacks. Hey, I'm a Bills fan. Our tendency is always to have overinflated expectations, or expect the absolute worst. I just choose to hope for the best this time. The title of this thread also gives me an out because it says sack prediction/GUESS. -
Mario Williams 15 It helps having an inside push Kyle Williams 6 He will scrap/claw, provide inside pressure Marcel Darius 10 Would have more but DEs will get there first Mark Anderson 10 Should at least match what he did last year with NE Kelsey/Rest 8 This reflects Kelsey (if still around) and the rest of the D line LBs 8 Should not need to blitz that much, but QBs still step up into pocket and become targets CB/S 3 Blitzing CB and S should be almost unneccesary Adds up to: 60 Slight improvement over last years totals Man this off season is so much more fun than the past few years! Of course if we are hit (AGAIN) with a rediculous injury bug to our key lineman, I reserve the right to recalulate accordingly. Here's hoping that won't be the case. Go Bills!!

Yea, whatever happened to the last up coming QB they traded for from San Diego, Whitehurst I think? They overpaid for him with a few high draft choices and where is he now? Have the feeling Flynn may go down the same path.

Did Jimbo Reveal Something About The Upcoming Draft
Mr. T replied to Mr. T's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm just not getting the attraction for Tannehill. Seems less likely to be a top notch QB than Blaine Gabbert did in last years draft. Gabbert showed little to nothing last year after being so hyped leading up to the draft. I get the same feel about Tannehill. -
I was actually a little more surprised that Thurman did not appear to be present. Maybe he was and I just did not notice, but he usually is a part of this kind of stuff.

I was watching the interview with Jim Kelly regarding todays signing of Super Mario. About two thirds of way through it a made a comment about it opens up many options for the upcoming draft. Than he says something about trading the 10th overall pick. Quickly changes the subject afterwards. Did anyone else catch that, or did my ears play a trick on me?

Other FA Signings Compared to Stevie's Deal
Mr. T replied to Mr. T's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thie is thread is starting to get twisted. Can't we just be thankful and give some props to Stevie for doing what we have wanted all of our favorite athletes do in the past. (Consider his team, teammates, and fans just as much as himself) Don't get me wrong, Stevie got paid some very good coin by the Bills and he and his family are taken care of nicely. He just could of got more somewhere else, but chose to not go that route. "Go Bills, Go Stevie!" -
Other FA Signings Compared to Stevie's Deal
Mr. T replied to Mr. T's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, thats what impresses me the most about Stevie. I suspect he was aware he could get more somewhere else, but wanted to stay here more. Now that doesn't mean that if he has another two big years he won't demand a redo of the contract. But if that happens the Bills owe it to him to cooperate. -
Man, when I consider what Stevie signed for and I see what other FA WR haved signed for, Meachem, Robinson, Jackson, Colston and so on you can't help feel really good about how Stevie stayed loyal to the Bills. Now Jackson and Colston I can understand getting the big deals. But Stevie is much better than Meachem and Robinson and they were given deals equal to or better than Stevie. Makes me appreciate Stevie all the more! The man stayed true to his team and teammates.

Marcus Easley may help us forget all about Meacham
Mr. T replied to Mr. T's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Again, he was not injured last year. He had a potentially serious health issue with his heart, but has since been cleared to play. Remember, before that happened he was about to take over the #2 WR slot. I know there is a question mark concerning him, but I do believe he has the potential to be something special for us. -

I know it's pure speculation, but I really do think Easley could come up really big for the Bills this year. I remember after the last preseason game he played being very excited about what he was going to do last year. Than out of the blue we find out he is done for season, and maybe for good because of a heart problem. Well, he has been given a clean bill of health to play again. He is not coming back from a serious injury of any kind. He will have a full off season program to get comfortable and settle in. I just have a feeling that he can be a difference maker for the Bills this year. -
Lee "the magician" Evans....hes dissapeared
Mr. T replied to marauderswr80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't know about anyone else but that brought back memories of Ronnie Harmon. Sorry if that memory is too painful for some of you. -
I play golf on a regular basis. I normally shoot in mid 90s. Every now and than I get hot and play out of my mind and shoot in mid 80s. Doesn't last for long and I revert back to normal. That's what happened to Fitz. He was playing out of his mind the first 5 games. Now he has returned to normal and is playing to his ability. Sorry, but it true.

Has been for the past 6 weeks

It is long over due for Fitz to get rid of that rediculous beard. My concern is it has become his reason for be recognized around the league, outside of Buffalo. I want his game to be what gets him noticed not some cheesy gimmic.

Bills are so afraid when defense is on field they try to run the clock down so Titans won't go for the first down.

Will the Bills EVER Have an All Pro Tight End?
Mr. T replied to st. pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hmmmmm, notice that these "All Pro Tight Ends" have "All Pro QBs. Brady, Rogers, Brees, Rivers. When we get a an All Pro QB the All Pro TE will come along with him. -
Thank you for bringing this back to the original premise of this thread. It was intended as a high compliment to this team, much more than it was a knock on others. It is all too easy in our society and culture for athletes to rest upon their physical skills and ignore the education that is there for the taking, especially when their entire college tuition is paid for through a sports schlorship. It's refreshing to have so many on this team who have come away from college with what appears as evidence that they got something out of their college years besides a ticket to the NFL.

I've noticed a really big difference between many of our Bills players and the typical NFL player. Most of the Bills players are really well spoken, articulate and easy to listen to. Not like so many that come across like the thug off the street. This is probably another example of the type of player the Bills look for. To play in a great system type of offense and defense you need intelligent players who can think quickly and clearly in the heat of the battle.

?? I rest my case!

An appropriate response would be appropriate AFTER we know what is going on, and what his condition really is. Didn't think that was too hard to grasp.
