Toney is making $2.5 million in 2024 am sure KC can justify the contract considering how weak they are at WR, toss in who knows he may turn into the player he flashed as a rookie in New York.

In a perfect world I'd draft Brian Thomas Jr. in Round 1, draft Cornelius Johnson in Round 5 and sign Noah Brown as an UFA to a two-three year deal.

What realistic Free Agents are on your wishlist for the Bills?
The Jokeman replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mike Williams might also be a cap casualty, at 29 he still should have two-three good years in him and give us the size we've lacked at WR for years and underated speed as averaged close to 15 yards per catch for his career although it is trending downward. Shaheed is an exclusive rights free agent, it be nice to nab him but I can't see New Orleans letting him go. -

I really should look at all the names but guys have looked at liked before were David Edwards returns, good backup G and as we saw played a part as our 6th OL in certain circumstances WR Noah Brown, can be an outside #2 or a #4 gives us some flexibility in the draft S K'Von Wallace, played well under our new nickel defense coach in Tennessee last year. DT Bilal Nichols younger run stopper that might be a better investment than Da'Quan Jones. -
Jets grant Zach Wilson permission to seek trade
The Jokeman replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
He seems to be an ideal guy for the Raiders to go after. Question is what the Jets would want as compensation, am thinking highest they could get be a 5th but that might even be too much. -
He was definitely was entertaining and memorable. While his spiel got old over time hill always be one of my favorites for calling out Doug Flutie for the fraud he was.

Takeaways from Beane's Combine pressers

Gotta wonder what would have happened had we kept Roland Mitchell. As Yes, we got Leonard Smith in the trade but Mitchell had a longer career. -

a low third rounder but with knowledge will be getting another 3rd rounder in UFA compensation and the 5th rounder from Green Bay. The way I see it is we traded down in the 3rd round from pick 91 to pick 166* (not sure what pick is due to compensation picks not awareded) and got Douglas. Assuming Douglas plays the 2 years of his contract (or more) it's more than a fair trade. -

I agree letting Douglas go is foolish. With question marks in the secondary of Hyde's return, White's availability etc. having something that was positive should be kept. For the very reason we don't have a replacement on the current roster, for if we did we wouldn't have traded for him to begin with. Now if they don't want to extend him I can understand that more but he's under contract for 2024 and I say let him stay and play. -
I'd rank them as Franklin/Worthy/Walker/Ladd. DJ to me the best talent evaluators of the talking heads, I also like Joel Klatt.
-
Walker is a guy I'd hope fall to round 2 but he might not fall that far down.
-
Mitchell is intriguing for sure. My sleeper for a Round 4 or lower guy is Cornelius Johnson as he might be a pure burner but he's got size, shows he can get contested catches and can break free from time to time.
-
The league is showing that size isn't as vital as it used to be look at WRs like Devonta Smith, Jordan Addison, Josh Downs and Tank Dell, producing despite being "light weights" Sure Franklin has the size to gain but if it's for the sake of losing his speed than it might not be worth it.

and what is more painful is the Bills beat the Giants in the regular season when we lost to them in the Super Bowl XXV. In fact we injured Simms in that game (Kelly went down too). One has to wonder if Simms playing would have impacted the game at all.
-
Adding David Edwards wasn't a bad move either, I'd welcome him back to be our 6th OL/depth at Guard again.
-
I was a teenager at the time (I turned 13 in 1990) so it was quite a ride for a fan to say the least.
-
Ugh reviewing that game it's amazing how little time we spent on offense, drives all over the place of two-three minutes, it's no wonder the defense got gassed in the 3rd quarter. The worst to me was the third one, as felt like the greatest comeback was a sign that we were meant to take it that year only to get crushed by Dallas.

My immediate thought on this subject was one band and one song, it was the Traveling Wilburys and this feel good hit:
-
Bilal Nichols is on the younger side (27) that's more of a run stuffer than pass rusher that might be an affordable add.

Bills official offseason Cap moves thread.
The Jokeman replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Indy doesn't franchise Pittman is br shocked as he's far and away their best WR and with a young QB starting it be foolish that let another team nab him. -
Or do they draft a QB in Round 1 of this year's draft?

Dan Marino lists top QBs of all time; Kelly makes list

Which allowed the Bills to be a horrible team and end up with the #1 overall pick in 1985 and get Bruce Smith. -
I'm about to start my second year of a dynasty, I made our playoffs last year as put a strong starting cast but injuries hurt me when lost Tank Dell and Rhamondre Stevenson went down late. I have some good younger/inexperienced backups. I made a few moves that in retrospect may have been a mistake. Specifically cutting Tyson Chandler in the early part of the season when looks like he was getting buried on the depth chart.
