  1. The Cowboys have Trey Lance on his rookie deal. I wouldn't be shocked if they move on from Dak tbh.
  2. And how many teams scored 35 PPG this season? Guess who has the best record in the league? Surprise the team with the best defense.
  3. It's easier to beat a team if have to score 17 points instead of 20.
  4. Who's more valuable to the team Davis or Floyd? If lose both which would you want to replace first?
  5. And as a passing league if you can't protect your franchise QB it doesn't matter how good your WRs are. See Cincy with an injured Burrow not in the playoffs. WR is not the biggest need if we lose Floyd and AJE in free agency. I can debate last year's playoffs loss was lack of a quality CB1 and missing Von Miller and Da'quan Jones on the DLineman.
  6. To me you evaluate the draft as a whole and get the best collection of talent. Some would call it value based drafting. You can draft for need but doesn't mean always taking the BPA as you need to look at the board as a whole picture not just each round as they come up.
  7. Count me in the crowd that rather have Sewell and St Brown vs Chase and Carmen.
  8. It's called replacing quality talent with quality talent. I'm sorry but to me if losing Floyd vs losing Davis hurts this team more. I'd much rather getting a a top end Edge rusher than WR. Yeah remind me how many NFC Central division championship have they won since losing Diggs?
  9. Jackson Carmen is the OT they took in the 2nd Round after Chase. Whereas could have taken Sewell instead of Chase and still gotten a quality WR later in the draft. Ironically they lost the Super Bowl giving up a sack on the final play.
  10. Let me ask this, would the Bengals be better with Penny Sewell and Amon St Brown or Jamarr Chase and Jackson Carman? The draft about building a team.
  11. Green Bay did good but what about the Chiefs?
  12. You forget AJ McCarron was signed as an UFA that off-season. He came off a season in which he lead the Bengals to a playoff victory. Yet he was horrible in the preseason and sulked when he lost the starting job, kudos to Beane for moving him for a draft pick. Adding Derek Anderson mid season was ultimately I think what helped Allen.
  13. Maybe we can sign someone this offseason, like if Taylor Heinicke gets cut by Atlanta we can pursue him? *shrugs* Fact is most teams that have an top 5 QB don't have much when it comes to a back up.
  14. Jay Z doesn't like this statement.
  15. Had Jackson not been perfect against Miami then the debate for Allen could be real. Yet Jackson had a performance for the ages and it's going to leave a lasting impression on voters.
  16. Why? It's like when the Bills sat Tyrod a few seasons back in the season finale to avoid some cap hit/payout the following season incase he got hurt.
  17. If there was a proven offensive mind out there I'd say maybe. Yet the truth is there isn't. Sure we can hope to catch lightning in the bottle like the OC in Houston but who is he bringing on as DC? There are so many variables and change for change sake isn't always a make for improvement. See Marrone for Rex Ryan as much as disliked Marrone I disliked Ryan more as he didn't play to his player strengths. Something I think McDermott has done but doesn't get enough credit for.
  18. Then have him run at least 10 yards routes on every play. Shakir can't take the top of the defense that said I think he's fast enough.
  19. Losing Floyd and AJE would be significant and who knows what Miller will be in 2024. With as deep as the WRs are in the draft you may take an edge rusher in Round 1 and still get a quality WR in Round 2.
  20. Waddle has a high ankle sprain, those take at least 4 weeks to recover from am sure he's definitely out.
  21. In New England? Sure but a team like Washington or Carolina might be desperate enough.
  22. If Floyd and AJE leave in free agency it's not a crazy thought.
