But for him to just give up like he did something must not feel right for him. -

Keeping them hungry to want to beat KC and lowering Baltimore in the standings not a bad thing. -

Illegal shift? I'd think that be a presnap penalty and snap shouldn't count. More help Chiefs win I swear. -
The Lions are averaging about 3 points more than us per game, question is who is he bringing to coach the defense? Change for change sake alone doesn't mean things will get better as we learned from moving the defense away from Schwartz to Ryan.

the Daboll/Schoen regime - on the brink, it seems

There's been reports that we did try to trade up with an unknown team (many surmise it was Houston) in an effort to get Big Ben but they balked. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/3057082/2022/01/27/ben-roethlisbergers-path-from-nearly-a-bill-and-starting-in-a-hurricane-to-steelers-legend-and-future-hall-of-famer/ -

Postseason is ALL that matters

Biggest issue is that Bills defense not been as sturdy in the playoffs as been in regular season, case in point against the Chiefs in the regular season we gave up 20 something points per game in the playoffs that increased to 35 or so. I don't want to blame it solely on injury but we've had quite a few happen pre and in the playoffs the last few years. I'm just hoping we can stay healthy this season to be at our best in the playoffs all the way to the end. -
Yeah, not good for that program.

There are only 32 NFL head coaching jobs in the NFL someone will take the Jets job as think they can make the difference or be back in the game. I agree Johnson should have his options and don't see Jets an ideal fit but money and the media spotlight has enticed many to New Jersey. Yet if he doesn't go am sure there's a list of 4 or 5 NFL coaches that would. Another option could be Brian Flores yet I'd think they'd want to go with an offensive mind see current defensive regime has failed them.

End of season run, what can change for the main players?

The Chiefs still haven't removed Brown off the IR. Until they do he isn't an option. Pacheco will help though as to me he along with Kelce* and Hopkins are the most important parts of their offense. Although Kelce might be in transition and replaced by Noah Gray based on his back to back TD performances. -
I haven't looked deep into Alabama's defensive performance this season under Linguist but then again he is only co-DC so he might not be worth the full blame there but he was definitely not a good HC here.

well he did play the final game that season.

Giants are releasing QB Daniel Jones (future backup to Josh Allen)

Ironically Gettleman got his start as a scout with the Bills from 1986-1997. -
Leave Hugh Grant out of this. He deserves an Oscar with his performance in Heretic. lol
-
The defense has definitely slacked yet we've had serious injuries headed into the playoffs for much of current runs. Getting the number 1 seed would be nice to help with a bye week and then host a team that had to get through another team to get to us.

Ironically Todd was in the same draft class as Rob Johnson, one has to wonder how much Bills history would have changed had we drafted RJ over Todd that year. I'm not saying he'd ever develop to be a starter but it mean no trading a 1st for him which could have been used on an offensive tackle like Tra Thomas or a LB like Takeo Spikes. Fred Taylor was taken with our pick but pretty sure we'd pass on him since Antowain Smith was returning for his 2nd season here. Also we might have ditched RJ sooner before adding Flutie and the whole fan devide never happens or maybe we get another QB in another draft? -
The best thing for Kelly is he played in the USFL which allowed the Bills to bottom out and draft Bruce Smith 1st overall in 1985. Honestly as much as people applied Kelly abilities in a Gun offense truth is his in ability to keep the offense on the field tired our defense in Super Bowl XXV. Toss in he was a gun slinger just like Favre I can't remember how many times I'd curse Kelly out in my teen years. Also that offense went through Thurman not Kelly. If you put Marino in the same position of Thurman, Reed and Lofton I think we won Super Bowl XXV and XXVIII. I'm not complaining I love Josh just being fair in my judgement. I'm happy with just one Super Bowl in my lifetime.

As much as I love Josh he doesn't always make the play which guys like Mahomes and Brady for as both of them always calm and cool where at times Josh struggled. I mean if liken him to Manning think that's fair but think he's more of an Elway who many put behind Montana due to titles yet to me Elway's was the most complete QB to ever play in the NFL.

People were calling for Pegula to find a football czar when he was looking for GM/HC many wanted Polian to be that guy. I don't blame Woody for getting perspective from guys that have been in league before. Not sure they're the best but at end of day I'd respect their thoughts than Woody alone. I mean if going to go with hot names I think hottest HC candidate is going to be Ben Johnson from Detroit and we could see a team pair him with Ray Agnew, Detroit's assistant GM. Yet if I'm either one of those guys I ditch Rodgers ASAP.

Mahomes is as risky as Josh has been but fortunate in more not been picked off. Is he a better thrower than Josh? Yes but give Josh kudos as a better runner. I also think Patrick is calmer under pressure than Josh. Yet if put Patrick under same conditions that Josh started with not sure he produces at his same level conversely if put Josh in same circumstance Patrick came into think he exceeds his stats from here.
