Was the Bills/Chiefs Game decided in Week 18?
The Jokeman replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's not just the amount it's the quality of player we lost, Milano is arguable a top 5 LB in the league, White when 100% is a top end CB. Bernard was having as good as a season as any LB this season. Someone compared his stats to Fred Warner earlier. Toss in we missed Benford and Rasul was less than 100%. So we were down to our 4th/5th outside CB and our two best LBs. Where'd we struggle? Stopping the run which -
Not a horrible list except for Cobb.

I'd love to land Michael Pittman Jr but think he going to get franchised by the Colts or get big money elsewhere.

I disagree, the Chiefs kicker made a kick, ours did not. No telling what happens after Bass makes his kick. -
Money is the biggest issue. He definitely could fill a need but imagine he looking for WR2 money. Ridley going to be way out of our price range unless we clear cap some other way.

Beane & McDermott end of season press conferences
The Jokeman replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Toss in his wife put out a goodbye letter on Instagram either yesterday or this morning. I'm sorry to lose him, I just hope we can find a replacement sooner than later. -
No Matter your feelings Bass doesn't deserve the abuse

Na, he's too busy doing NFL commercials to remind us all of another bad ending. -
How do the Chiefs draft busts like Hardman and Skyy Moore?

Titans to hire Bengals OC Brian Callahan as new HC
The Jokeman replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
OC in Cincy I suppose the thought to reunite with Burrow and Chase. -
Knox is just brittle. Harry can be good but not sure as you mentioned use him right. Sherfield was a decent WR3 I'm Miami not sure why the struggle here.

I'm just free thinking so bear with me if disjointed. It's time to cut bait on guys like Neal, Gilliam and Matakevich as we saw this year how important depth was and these guys just don't make enough plays to justify keeping. Shaq and Phillips are good but bring in younger guys to fill their roles. I'd bring back Da'Quan but Settle can go. I love Hyde but him and Poyer need to get replaced. No easy task. Taron is a good nickel back but I want a true big nickel out there on 1st and 2nd down. I'd bring Rapp back with another young vet and draft pick to sort out Safeties. Cam Lewis just has no upside. Keep Morse but draft a kid to develop depth. Maybe add a offensive tackle to be a starter in a few years. DE needs a new guy to lead the charge. Gabe Davis can get paid elsewhere. Day 1 or day 2 WR a must as Diggs could be getting old fast. I'm okay with Harty as a 4th/5th WR and return man. Ty Johnson can stay but he's a 3rd guy. Get a younger version of Murray. I know there were whispers on AJ Dillon this past off season, he had a bad year maybe get him cheap.

All better and all unemployed? Vrabel hasn't shown anything in the playoffs as a HC. Carroll and Belichick have struggled the last few years replicating past success.

Bills sign 11 players to futures contracts

Hamler can't stay healthy. He had a pretty good rookie season though. -
Reid and Mahomes have been a wrecking ball in the playoffs. Kelce is a mismatch for almost all teams no matter how you draw it up. I get McD doesn't produce same results in playoffs but find me a coach who has stopped the KC offense in the playoffs and I might say hire him but tbh none have. Just cuz you replace a guy doesn't mean the new guy is better, just different.

I get people want a change and I said it as such last night. The issue is who is going to be better? Also looking at the list of UFAs we are going to lose quite a few guys on defense which could be detrimental to this team's success if we elected to find an offensive minded HC which most here seem to feel is needed. We can put blame on McDermott but truth be told this team never lost a single game by less than 6 points this season which to me an amazing accomplishment especially with how are defense not been the same since Week 4. We lost yesterday because the Chiefs had a better kicker than us, is this McDermott's fault? No as prior to this year Bass felt like a top 5 kicker in this league but he struggled all season. Missing a 44 yard field goal on your home field and with the wind was simply inexcusable and only one guy to blame and it's not McDermott but Bass. If people want to blame McDermott for leaving too much time on the field, sorry that is on Josh Allen who all game played the small game until the 4th quarter when he seemed to be taking chances for the "kill shot" when we were winning by doing just the opposite. Is this on McDermott? No, again I blame a player for that.

This is a heavy draft on WRs, trading up feels foolish see Sammy Watkins 2.0 Toss in think we need as many picks as possible with so many pending UFAs will have a lot of holes to fill. Depending how UFA turns out I'd think a guy like Troy Franklin could be there for picking at number 28 and fits our need for speed.

How about the D-line? 1 sack in two playoff games
The Jokeman replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
If we lose AJE and Floyd in UFA are you comfy putting out a washed Von Miller and run blocking DE first in Rousseau as your pass rushers? Not me. -
We don't know what could have happened if Bass made the kick, that's the point. I'm sorry in this day and age kickers shouldn't be able to make 45 yard kicks, all he has to do is kick straight not move it to the right like he did.

The Million-Dollar Question Sticking in My Mind
The Jokeman replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I guess KC should be disappointed in Chris Jones last night as he didn't get a sack nor the rest of his teammates. -
Allen was legendary (even better than 13 seconds Allen)

Having Addison means no Kincaid and to me Kincaid is more valuable because of the production and position he plays. -
Divisional Playoffs - Chiefs at Bills - Post game thread
The Jokeman replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe I'm just used to the disappointment but this one didn't hurt as much. I'm maddest at Bass but can blame others including Josh on 2nd and 3rd down on the final drive. The defense was poor all game. I know McDermott not good enough but who is?
