I'd love AJ Dillon as our RB2 and he should be available at a lower cost. I'd also bring back Ty Johnson for RB3 and if keep all 11 picks, sure throw in a rookie to the mix.
I don't mind competition but what if Samuel wins? Then you could potentially stunt Shakir's growth and is worth it on Samuel who might not be here long term? It's a tough call either way.
He's a low risk high reward guy if get him at a low cap figure (see less than $6 million). I'd welcome him since Brady and Curry have worked with him when they were with the Saints. He might never be a 1200 plus yard guy again but if he can stay healthy think he's a respectful #2 while we develop Shorter and a rookie WR behind him.
Curtis Samuel makes the most sense now (connection to OC) with Noah Brown back in Houston. My only concern he is best suited to the slot and we already have Shakir there.
I wonder if the Bills would look at add Jamel Agnew as a 4th/5th WR and return specialist? Or bring back a guy like Brandon Powell who was here for a brief time?
My concern is how will Brown react to not being the alpha in the room. As he'll likely be 3rd maybe 4th option in our passing game even if he lines up outside. Not sure he'd be okay with that.
He's a good backup, I know he played well staring when Taylor was hurt but as good as he was in some games he looked meh. Kudos to him and the paycheck but think Bengals going to look back and might have gone another way.
His skill set is more reminiscent of Josh Allen yet he's a far less accomplished passer which is odd as when he came out he seemed to be more ready. Maybe he got stunted by his early coaching staffs or didn't put in the work. Now he's just a journeyman backup.
Did we learn how much Trubisky got? As that seems like a lot of money for an average backup as you'd think they'd bring Flacco back instead of finding someone else.
Noah Brown's RAS is identical to Gabe Davis' with similar height/weight. He showed he can put up #1 numbers when asked to in Houston last year but also a guy that can be a good depth guy. To me he's a poor man's Davis and welcome him and 2 draft picks to round out our WR depth.
