1. DirecTV is definately the way to go from a customer service point of view (especially when you ask for Customer Retention).  They're amazing.

CW

779861

Yeah it must be a great company if you have to ask to speak to the part of the company that is responsible for trying to prevent you from cancelling to get anything done. <_<

2. Volek has no one but himself to blame.  Two years ago the Bills offererd him a starting job but he turned them down.  I hope he enjoys being a forever backup now.

779970

Correction, the Bills offered him a chance to compete for the starting job with Bledsoe where it seemed all but certain he was going to be a heir apparent to Steve McNair. I honestly can't fault him for his decision to stay with the Titans looking back on things from the perspective then.

3. Thanks alot, that is just what I was looking for! The station it leaves from is about a 2-minute walk from my building. Thanks Jokerman!

And G. Host, thanks also for your idea, but the Game Day Express is simpler.

Thanks everybody, now all we need is tickets...

I remember using the NFTA many a time to/from UB, class of 2000, so glad to help.

4. No BRING a coiple of hot college chickies and you will get a ride!

Or take Metro.

Obtained from:

http://www.nfta.com/metro/routes.asp

The alternate is to find someone coming from that area and offer them something - gas, food, cash, game tickets, etc

You could also ask at Student Union.

A better plan is to take Metro's Game Day Express to the Ralph from UB South. To learn more click here.

5. It sounds like that Leap Year might be the show in question but in terms of traveling through time the only show that I found enjoyable was Quantum Leap. Of course it wasn't the same character week to week except toward the end of it's run when the main guy Sam leaped back into his own life.

6. No doubt Baumer, Nate needs to show that he is even in the top 32 of #1 CB's in this league and it needs to happen immediately.

I don't buy his own self proclamation to be number 1 for even a minute.  His coverage isn't what worries me (although he still needs work) it's his tackling ability.  He should have taken a lesson from Winfield before he left about hitting/tackling.  Nate always seems to go for the shoe lace tackles and never the hip.

773224

Who cares what type of tackles Nate makes, as long as it's a tackle. While Antoine's might look better the truth is Nate is a better overall CB then Antoine will ever be/was. While he might not be the best NFL CB he's easily among the top 10 if not top 5.

7. He's been money ever since Schneck replaced Dorenbos.  Who knew back then that all Lindell needed to create magic with his leg was to get rid of the magician?

771209

Tom Donahoe and/or John Guy might of known since they were the one(s) that brought in Schneck and let Dorenbos go.

8. My guess is that it was a conservative gameplan, or it was that their situational playcalls didn't call for any bombs.  Also, take into account that the wheels really fell off in the 3rd quarter, so who knows how many of those botched plays were supposed to be deep balls.

771167

I agree about the conservative gameplan as feel Fairchild and company wanted to keep 3rd downs at a managable distance in order to give Losman a chance to keep drives alive. To be honest I prefer a dink and dunk offense as it allows the defense more rest and helps an inexperienced QB like Losman confidence. Of course an occasional bomb here and there needs to be completed to also offer something for D's to be concerned with and prevent them from taking away said short routes.

9. I know.  Teams weren't even willing to give up a 1st rounder for a guy like Sean Alexander or even a starting QB like Culpepper.  Branch???? he's pretty good but gimme a break.

769665

It's probably going to end up being a late 1st Rounder ie picks 20-32 which in recent years have been hit or miss type picks.

10. How is that the Raiders with their annoying fans, sh!tty dirt field and 4, 5 and 4 wins the past three seasons get to open at home on the first Monday night of 2006?

770250

Inpart because of their fans, the have a name in Randy Moss and playing a division rival with a name in LaDainian Tomlinson.

11. Also not a top 10 back.  You people with your stats are hopeless.

Why don't you talk about his receiving stats or total yards?

How about his yards per carry?

How about taking into account how many teams employ RB by commitee and the fact that you are calculating his 'projected' stats while being the RB that got 90% of the carries (a rarity in this league)?

He was average then, and average now.

770234

Who says a RB has to be a receiver to be a great back? Barry Sanders averaged 2.3 receptions for his career. Is Willis as good as Barry? Obviously not but again see my first question

Yards per carry is a great topic, LaDainian Tomlinson whose widely considered the most complete RB in the game today averaged 3.9 yards per rush last season, McGahee averaged 3.8.

In terms of committee, let's look at the top RBs. Again I start with LT. He had 339 rush attempts in comparison San Diego's 2nd RB Michael Turner had 57 attempts.

Shaun Alexander had 370 rush attempts in comparison Seattle's 2nd RB Maurice Morris had 71 attempts.

All that said, I feel McGahee is overrated by some Bills fans but feel is a better than average RB in this league.

12. Exactly, people still B word about Losman being inexperienced, and young, and to just give him time to develop.

Its his 3rd year in the NFL, This is do or die for him.

He still looks like an average to below average starter.

769712

3rd year but he's only played in 14 NFL games. To me he looks like a typical inexperienced QB. In he has his ups and downs with more downs thus far but given time I think he's going to be above average but never great perhaps like Mark Brunell.

13. I thought if the 1st Qb gets injured and you put in the 3rd QB before the 2nd QB, then neither the 1st or 2nd QB can play for the rest of the game. Whoever came up with all these ridiculous rules was an idiot.

762414

This is the case if you name the 46th dressed man and assigned an "emergency QB" as outlined above however in the case when he's among the 45 dressed I think it doesn't matter.

14. That one quote says that they can dress 45 players.  What if they dress the 3rd QB as one of those 45 and don't use that emergency slot?  It probably makes very little sense to do this, but is it at least possible?

762287

I'm pretty sure that if you name your 3rd QB among the 45 then he can freely come in and out of the game like any other back up.

15. Robin Meadow  Grade: 3.1  Position: T Class: 5Sr

School: Washington Conference: Pacific-10 Ht., Wt.: 6-5, 324 40 Time: 5.42

BIO: Two-year starter at strong-side tackle.

POSITIVES: High-energy lineman with solid size/speed numbers. Plays with good pad level, quick in all aspects of the game and is fundamentally sound. Jolts opponents at the point, makes effective use of blocking and seals defenders from the play. Keeps his head on a swivel and immediately picks up stunts or twists.

NEGATIVES: Lacks top footwork and blocking range. Must learn to finish blocks rather than clutch and lean on defenders. Lacks balance and is on the ground too much.

ANALYSIS: Possessing upside for the next level, Meadow is back-up material who should only improve as he adds bulk and strength to his frame.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent

From his CNN predraft bio.

and here's a link to his Ravens bio page, talk about looking like death worn over.

16. I really don't understand why so many people have either/both of them rated ahead of R. Moss, who had a "bad" year hampered by injuries last year but still caught 10 TD's.  Say what you want about Brooks but he got the ball to Joe Horn just fine.

760973

Randy actually only caught 8 TDs last year. Although I expect him to bounce back this season don't forget that Brooks never had a secondary WR in New Orleans as good as Porter.

17. You know everybody loves Boldin but I just don't see him or Fitz putting up the same numbers they did last year.  Having Edge on the team is going to cut down on the wideout's numbers, especially in the redzone.  I don't think they signed James to put up the same numbers that their RBs have posted in the last few years.  If I had to guess I'd say it will be Boldin's numbers that are affected more than Fitzgerald's.

760276

I think Fitzgerald's the one to see his numbers fall. As if you study their respective game logs it would appear that Boldin put up better numbers last year then Fitzgerald when Kurt Warner started. This tells me Kurt favors Boldin and not to mention he did miss one game last year and still produced near identical numbers to Fitzgerald. Of course it's going to be hard for either to put up the respective numbers they put up last year but gladly take either one as a #1 in a league with 10 or more teams.
18. Does this mean he made the team?  How much of an upset is this?  Is it possible we have a diamond in the rough here?

760053

I think his ability to long snap and play LB gave him an advatage. As Mike Schneck might be a Pro Bowler but truth be told he was replaced by a younger guy in Pittsburgh that cost less against the cap and Bills might be looking to do that in a year or two when Schneck's contract runs out.

19. Milwaukee Thomas over Eric King, wow..

759895

Remember that Thomas has a history working with Jauron and Fewell in Jacksonville not to mention he offers better size/experience then King. So, I'm not really surprised. Infact he could be our nickel CB next year if Yobouty develops and we choose to let Nate walk.

20. I know this ......haha I always email my work to 3 different email address or atleast 2. Then check it myself.......burn to cd and so on.

But these aren't the smartest people in the world haha

758764

I think /dev/null is trying to say have her e-mail it to herself from home and open the e-mail at work and just save it to a new floppy disk.

21. A fair assessment to be sure. Though, I have Chester Taylor, not anyone named Anderson.

757262

I meant Taylor, I was thinking about Mike Anderson when typed that because of the Minnesota/Baltimore thing. Although I stand by my that thought though as although Minny doesn't have the three headed monster they've had in the past I have questions about Chester being a full time starter.

22. For the short term ie non keeper league I'd go with Johnson but long term like Jackson. As Rudi's put up back to back 1400 yard double digit TD seasons. I know everyone's pointing to the question mark that is Carson Palmer but remember Rudi put up similar numbers in 2004 when Palmer was an average QB. In terms of Jackson he has shown to be a better receiver of the two but still has to show he can be a consistant running threat which he might be able to do with Martz out of St Louis.

To me there's too many questions surrounding Jackson and I don't gamble with an early pick as it's going to be the nucleus of my team every week so would side with Johnson if I were you.

23. 10 team.....performance base.

757004

Warner's health worries me but Favre is a solid QB behind him. Although this could be the last year for both and with young developing QBs behind them come fantasy playoff time you might not have a starting QB.

You have two solid starting RBs and questionable depth as there's no guaranteeing that either Anderson or Bell will be the work horses for their respective teams.

All of your WRs are questionable as each has the ability to be a #1 for their respective teams yet at the same time playing with guys that have been #1s in the past which may dip into their production. Also aside from Burleson eachhave questionable QBs tossing to them the ball. This likely means they could put up 100 yards one week and then 50 yards the next week.

Your TEs are respectable, I think Watson is due for a breakout year and with Hines Ward on the mend Miller could start the year with a bang.

It's hard to analyze Kickers.

Your team defenses are solid. I prefer the Falcons as they should be improved with additions like John Abraham and Jimmy Williams and benefit playing in the NFC South.
