I was more miffed when the offense failed to score a TD after Schobel's sack/forced fumble.

Don't descredit NE's defense, although the Eagles might be more talented there's just something about the collection of players (both starters and backups) that the Patriots have. Which truly makes them the best team in the NFL now.

from WGR web-site
Adams should be told Monday to clean out his locker. I think the Bills can easily go 7-and-14 without him just as easily as they did with him. Adams is lazy in practice and during games and expects to be treated like a super star. He's also very, very out of shape and fat. The act is getting tired.
Obviously these line shows that this was a commentary and not a story.

I hadn't thought of a player for player trade. I also dismissed a three team trade but anything's possible. So here goes nothing. We send Shaw to Tampa, Tampa trades Keenan McCardell to Kansas City and Kansasy City trades their 5th round pick to Tampa and Chris Bober (he's KC backup Center and a former starter and McNally product with the NYG) to us. Yet I think the more likely scenario is the one I posed in the other thread with the Giants.
-
Shaw has some value, even if its a 5th round pick, he has trade value. Some teams like the Chiefs have a ton of injuries at WR and they might be willing to part with a backup guard or center, which we very well might need with Teague out and Tucker moving in.
This press conference will be interesting, no doubt.
Shaw is sort of a goofball. YOu could see him horsing around constantly at camp, and he has missed an awful lotta hot reads. The ball hitting him in the back was his fault, not drew's.
He definately has value but not sure if it's high as a 5th. As recall we gave up a 6th for Mark Campbell and got a 7th for Olandis Gary. I'm thinking at best we'll get a 6th but have a feeling we'll end up with a 7th if he is traded.

This ia a strange move indeed. I'm guessing it might be a move to shake up the team or out of respect to Bobby instead of forcing him down the depth chart they're giving him a chance to get a chance elsewhere.
It might be totally unrelated but I did see that the Giants lost Tyrone Carter for the season and could be in need for a WR. He played with Jacksonville two seasons ago and think that was Coughlin's last year there. Not to mention Gilbride is their QB coach and has had a history with Bobby (both here and in Pittsburgh) perhaps we're trading him to the Giants for a late draft pick.

Apple Cinnamon Cheerios are my fave. Yet I don't mind Shredded Wheat so long I have quite a bit of sugar mixed in.

Pruce went to the University at Buffalo but he's originally from Ohio. For what it's worth he's spent time with the Ravens, Texans and was named to the Patriots Practice Squad earlier this season.
Pruce's play at tackle helped quarterback Joe Freedy become just the fourth quarterback in UB history to throw for over 2,000 yards in a single season. As a junior, he led the Bulls with 25 pancake blocks and also recorded 37 blocks that got defenders off their feet.An outstanding student as well, Pruce was a two-time Verizon District I Academic All-American (1998 and 2000). He was ranked as high as the 30th best offensive tackle coming out of college by many pre-draft publications. Pruce came to UB from Chardon HS outside of Cleveland where he helped head coach Bob Doyle's teams to a 34-6 record during his prep career, including a 14-0 record and state championship in 1994.

Guessing on his production last week I'd guess Mewelde Moore but who knows, as they have a gaggle of RBs and it all depends on who's healthy each week. Of course this is a Buffalo Bills message board, maybe this question be better suited on a Vikings one.
-
Or conversly if the defense gave up 1 less TD a game we'd might be 4-0. (I know not realistic and I really like how the D is playing and think the offense has to improve). As unless your defense is pitching out shutouts each week it could always be improved.

I think it is far too early to be calling anyone the steal of the draft, but I digress.
With all this talk about Roethlisberger, Wilfork, Roy Williams, Harris, Carey etc., am I to understand from everyone who has posted on this topic, that both Lee Evans and JP Losman are busts?
I sure don't. I think Losman has a bright future ahead of him, and I like what I have seen from Evans.
It's not that Evans and Losman are busts but they aren't having the impact that some of the other players are having thus far. With the Bills being a veteran team, I said this at the time of the draft, we needed our 1st Round pick to be an impact player ie someone that could do something in their first year that could help us make the step up from missing to making the playoffs if not more. As I see/saw us having a window of this and next season that we could possible win a Super Bowl with the defense and veterans on offense we have now. While Evans has shown to be better then I thought he'd be, I still don't think he's making enough impact that a guy like a DE Will Smith would have been this year.

*grumble* I was thinking of taking Brown but instead I went with Kevin Barlow because I didn't want to overvalue Brown for having a great preseason. Needless to say if Mason doesn't get two TDs tonight I'm likley going to fall to 1-4.
-
They say it takes 3-4 years for a drafts impact to be felt which is true. As the problem being with our 2000 draft being so poor it impacted what we did in 2002. Case in point if in 2000 we drafted DE Darren Howard instead of Erik Flowers we would likley have never drafted Ryan Denney. If we took WR Charles Lee (most common fans will be asking Charles who?) -click here for info . in Round 7 instead of Drew Haddad we might have never taken Josh Reed.
I mean the look at just two of the Jets picks from that 2000 draft: John Abraham and Chad Pennington, who were likely the two primary reasons why the Bills lost Sunday.
Everyone wants to put the blame on Donahoe for this team being so poor but I think Butler still deserves some of the blame because of that truly horrid 2000 draft. I mean imagine if Darren Howard on this defense, instead of Denney, maybe we could of taken an O-lineman like Andre Gurode (starting RG for Dallas) instead of Denney when we traded up.
-
Wilfork was one of the guys I wanted. On draft day, as our pick was drawing near, I was hoping they'd seriously consider Tommie Harris though. I thought he could be moved to LDE and give us a reliable player out there. If we were to trade down, I was hoping we'd target Carey, but I was thinking of a trade down to where Tennessee, Seattle, or even Dallas was at and Miami traded up to #19 to take him. Damn.
Side note: I watched Shawn Andrews play at RG for Philly in the preseason and he looked unstoppable! It's too bad he got hurt and had to be put on IR. I was looking forward to seeing what he could do in the regular season.
If recall R.Rich was also very much against the selection of DE Will Smith, who has as many sacks (2.0) as Schobel, Kelsay and Denney have combined for this season. Not to mention according to Yahoo! he's up to 282# which is big enough to play LDE

Do I think a team surrender a high 3rd Round pick? Sure, I could see the Raiders giving us their 3rd for Henry if they can't pull of a trade to get Ricky Williams' rights from the Dolphins.
-
As recall the team wasn't playing to well a few years ago just before a Dolphins game when Marv came up with this little ditty:
Go Bills! For we are here to cheer for youGo Bills! We are your fans so true
With victory in sight
We'll yell with all our might
So, Go Bills! Fight Bills! Go!
C'mon, let's win for Buffalo!
Go Bills! We're with you
Fight Bills! We're with you
Go Bills! Let's win this game
We'll raise up all our voices high
The Bills team spirit will not die
So, Go Bills! Fight Bills! Go!
C'mon, let's win for Buffalo!
Go Bills! For we are here to cheer for you
Go Bills! We are your fans so true
With victory in sight
We'll yell with all our might
So, Go Bills! Fight Bills! Go!
C'mon, let's win for Buffalo!
Another of Donahoe's great moves

Actually, Graham signed a contract this offseason worth $6.5 million over 5 seasons which comes to about $1.3 million per season. Conversly Lindell signed a four-year, $4.2 million contract which comes to about $1.05 mil per season.
True Graham looks as he would have been the better choice (and worth the extra money) in retrospect there's no guaranteeing he'd have the same kicking numbers at the Ralph as he's had in Cincy.
Ironically enough though Graham himself couldn't beat out Lindell in a head to head matchup for the kicking job in Seattle. As I'm pretty sure both were in camp together with the Seahawks at one time. Seattle also missed the boat with respect to Brian Moorman too.
