  1. Daniel Jeremiah made a good comparison IMHO to AJ Green in size and how graceful they are. I think he also compares to Larry Fitzgerald in knowledge of routes/hands but a step or two faster. Both great yet to me this draft about the next 5-6 years of this team and reinforce some holes we took on this off-season. Here's DJ's article https://www.nfl.com/news/scouting-marvin-harrison-jr-ohio-state-wide-receiver-similar-to-a-j-green My issue is it's a strong draft at WR and we don't need the best just an above average guy who could easily fall to us. Toss in Beane knows the value of draft picks and I can't see him using two 1sts on 1 WR.
  2. I agree 💯 with this. It's similar to the Watkins draft which was deep at WR. and to go back further the year we got Moulds who was the 5th WR off the board. The 2nd Round unearthed Amani Toomer and Muhsin Muhammed and a 3rd rounder (and future Bill) made the HOF aka TO.
  3. It feels like much longer than 10 years. Maybe a testament to how much better things been the last 6 or so years then the last 20 or so under Ralph. It only turned out because the USFL failed. Had it not Frank Reich might have been our eventually starting QB and we'd all B word we took Mark Traynowicz and passed on Randall Cunningham.
  4. I'm a Legette fan. He's a borderline 1st Rounder in my eyes and wouldn't mind taking him at 28 pending what DL are left on the board. That said I see it's a good draft for WRs and if get one later am okay but to me they have to have size (see 6'1 or taller and 190 lbs or more) and (speed) 4.55 been talking up Cornelius Johnson as much as I can as think he's a sleeper pick if can get him in Round 4.
  5. I understand your thoughts on DT but the big issue is there aren't many great 1 tech projects or NT in this year's draft. The 3 DL id be interested at pick 28 are Newton and Darius Robinson are definitely guys id look at. Yet admit the 3 WRs you mention appeal to me as well. Ultimately if go by value based drafting I'd prob take DL in the first and wait on WR as think can find quality WRs later and feel they can be developing wheras big guys rely a lot more on natural talent/scheme fit.
  6. I have question at Safety and DL and RB depth but a good draft or few more mid level signings could help fill.
  7. What's that a WR has a bad stat line with Lamar Jackson at QB? Say it ain't so.
  8. Clowney would be interesting. He fits the tall DEs that we favor and at 31 he's got less tread on his tire than Campbell.
  9. Until he gets hurt or put in a position to win with his arm. He's a poor man's Lamar Jackson.
  10. Until a defender jams him in the first 5 yards off his route and he doesn't run the route as intended and misses the timing of the pass.
  11. Legette's been my target since the combine. I also like Thomas and Mitchell but feel they'll both be gone by 28. That said if a guy like Darius Robinson fell to us I might look for a WR in Round 2 with Tez Walker one of my likes. From NFL.com draft profile Xavier Legette *Makes full use of his size and play strength in one-on-one battles. *Owns his space and defender’s space when catch is contested. *Magnificent timing and extension to snare throws up the ladder. *Uses subtle hand fighting to create late landing space for the throw. *Powerful hands create added catch security with or without contact. *Sneaky burst gear propels vertical separation and run-after-catch speed. *Capable combatant when asked to do his part as a blocker. Showed that he can be good kick off returner.
  12. He might be in the mix of backups but no shock if we take someone in day 1 or day 2 to eventually replace Jones.
  13. I liken Leggette to Moulds because of his kick return ability. Any relation to former Bills LB, David White?
  14. Another big WR from FSU ran a 4.61 at the combine, he actually fell to pick 28 as well.....his name was Kelvin Benjamin. https://www.thesportster.com/football/nfl-players-with-slow-40-yard-dash-times/
  15. Maybe he knows he can't run a 4.5 forty so leaving his time as is. I'm sure he'll fall to Round 2 or later as a result.
  16. The only thing is most C and Safeties aren't thought to be good value drafting in Round 1. So most teams won't draft them this high unless the player is elite and tbh this year's safety crop has a few good guys but nobody I'd call elite, same goes for Center.
  17. I think we tried to bring him in last year and he passed, I agree he seems to continual producing but eventually mother nature catches up and rather not have him around when she does.
  18. but but they signed Tyrod Taylor the guy who broke the Bills playoff drought and is a "good QB". Sorry I can't type this anymore without laughing.
  19. I think it matters what happens with Higgins, if he is moved there's a good chance. Yet they could be inline to get a DT too.
  20. Schobel was more than a high motor, he was the 2nd best DE in Bills history IMO.
  21. Targets, Yards Per Route run, 1st downs Per Route Run, Points per Pass Attempt per game and Points per Pass Attempt per snap.
  22. So get lesser talented guys (aka lower draft picks) in hope they to fill in holes makes sense because....?
