  1. I just think with his 170 lbs is going to be less than ideal. I know about Dvonta Smith but feel he's an exception not a rule. I mean Worthy hype only come since his forty time imo.
  2. The law of averages and it seems like most elite speed guys struggle in the NFL and of course his low weight a concern. Diggs going to Maryland didn't help his cause as let's admit it they haven't been relevant in the NCAA. Toss in his best season was his freshman year and he struggled with injuries a bit in school etc. So his stock dropped for said reasons.
  3. Wothy maybe only because he's got elite speed and that might cause teams to not want to bump and run him because of fear he'll take them to the house but we've seen guys with elite speed struggle in the NFL. Tyreek has been an exception IMO not the rule. McConkey to be is a pure slot, as he wins based on route running and short area quickness. I know people will claim this sounds like Stef, difference being Stef was a 5 star guy coming out of highschool, Ladd was a 3 star. Also Stef plays bigger than his size IMO and has elite ability to separate. So, no I don't think either of these two will be above average outside options.
  4. I edited my initial post.
  5. Well their owner is a Khan...
  6. Thomas, Mitchell and Legette have size and speed. Franklin/Coleman either thinner or slower and as result perceived less than ideal. Now I could argue Cornelius Johnson, Bub Means, De'Corian Clark fit this mold of boundary WRs but may not be as NFL ready as the first 3.
  7. I agree, am a little surprised he hasn't gotten signed yet unless he looking for a starting job or too much money.
  8. I agree Legette is my guy this year, at first I was all in on Mitchell but after his 4.30 combine I figured he wouldn't last to 28, Legette should fall and have no issues going with him assuming top end DTs/DEs are taken previously.
  9. Yeah I haven't watched the UFL to see what this is all about, preseason will definitely be good to see how this rule works.
  10. Imagine him at FB in a goal line play. Fridge Perry memories.
  11. Good player just couldn't stay healthy.
  12. And Bobby Engram has a few good years too. It's going to take more than #28 and a 1st next year to move into the top 3/4 to get MHJ.
  13. Daniel Jeremiah made a good comparison IMHO to AJ Green in size and how graceful they are. I think he also compares to Larry Fitzgerald in knowledge of routes/hands but a step or two faster. Both great yet to me this draft about the next 5-6 years of this team and reinforce some holes we took on this off-season. Here's DJ's article https://www.nfl.com/news/scouting-marvin-harrison-jr-ohio-state-wide-receiver-similar-to-a-j-green My issue is it's a strong draft at WR and we don't need the best just an above average guy who could easily fall to us. Toss in Beane knows the value of draft picks and I can't see him using two 1sts on 1 WR.
  14. I agree 💯 with this. It's similar to the Watkins draft which was deep at WR. and to go back further the year we got Moulds who was the 5th WR off the board. The 2nd Round unearthed Amani Toomer and Muhsin Muhammed and a 3rd rounder (and future Bill) made the HOF aka TO.
  15. It feels like much longer than 10 years. Maybe a testament to how much better things been the last 6 or so years then the last 20 or so under Ralph. It only turned out because the USFL failed. Had it not Frank Reich might have been our eventually starting QB and we'd all B word we took Mark Traynowicz and passed on Randall Cunningham.
  16. I'm a Legette fan. He's a borderline 1st Rounder in my eyes and wouldn't mind taking him at 28 pending what DL are left on the board. That said I see it's a good draft for WRs and if get one later am okay but to me they have to have size (see 6'1 or taller and 190 lbs or more) and (speed) 4.55 been talking up Cornelius Johnson as much as I can as think he's a sleeper pick if can get him in Round 4.
  17. I understand your thoughts on DT but the big issue is there aren't many great 1 tech projects or NT in this year's draft. The 3 DL id be interested at pick 28 are Newton and Darius Robinson are definitely guys id look at. Yet admit the 3 WRs you mention appeal to me as well. Ultimately if go by value based drafting I'd prob take DL in the first and wait on WR as think can find quality WRs later and feel they can be developing wheras big guys rely a lot more on natural talent/scheme fit.
  18. I have question at Safety and DL and RB depth but a good draft or few more mid level signings could help fill.
  19. What's that a WR has a bad stat line with Lamar Jackson at QB? Say it ain't so.
  20. Clowney would be interesting. He fits the tall DEs that we favor and at 31 he's got less tread on his tire than Campbell.
  21. Until he gets hurt or put in a position to win with his arm. He's a poor man's Lamar Jackson.
  22. Until a defender jams him in the first 5 yards off his route and he doesn't run the route as intended and misses the timing of the pass.
