  1. No way, flats all the way. Carter is my 2nd favorite pick in this class, top goes to Ray Davis. As both these guys feel like high end depth guys that could start in a pinch.
  2. Anyone who says that Beane hasn't tried to help Josh this offseason needs to stop trolling the board. While I'm not the biggest MVS fan he definitely is improved depth to what had previously. He could be a good #3/4 WR with speed on the outside.
  3. He should have been but he saw the writing was on the wall and jumped to the Rangers last year.
  4. Likely 3rd best behind Josh and Jim. I could debate Jack because of the AFL Championships but he didn't have Fergy's career length. And likely never will again.
  5. I'm still collecting cards of my childhood favorite Rickey Henderson. I also have Funko Pops of childhood favorite characters. Yeah I'm nostalgic.
  6. I can see us running two TEs on 30-40% of our snaps. Especially in the end zone where Knox knows how to find openings very well. I'm expecting him to get 30-35 catches this season with 400-475 yards and 5-7 TDs which a pretty good season for a backup TE.
  7. It depends, if Shakir improves, if Samuel shows to be more than Davis did (who missed tons of time during our late run) and Coleman can help move the chains ala Kincaid did as a rookie it's not a major downgrade. As yes we don't have an alpha in Diggs but as a whole the WR group is much better in terms of depth IMO. As to me Josh is at his best when has to be disciplined and make short methodical gains and drive us down the field. As when he's doing and in the zone the offense is almost unstoppable.
  8. I'd imagine the plan is Coleman at the X, Samuel/Shorter in the Y and Shakir/Samuel in the slot. We could also move Cook out wide to the X or Y if want to move Samuel/Johnson/Davis in the backfield to give defenses another look. If Claypool does make the team he could be another option on the outside.
  9. Coaching and/or injuries if ask me. 13 seconds I blame coaching for a bad choice on not squibbing the kick, yet the players fugged up on the field letting Hill/Kelce getting the Chiefs down the field for a FG. Josh not going to Diggs on 2nd down was again a player thing. Granted if we have more healthy guys on D that game might not come to the last drive by us to tie it. The Bengals playoff loss think we hit the wall and losing Von changed our defense toss in gotta wonder what happens if the NFL let's that game to be finished if we could have come back to win it and taken the #1 seed. So many variables I can't blame it solely on coaches, players and injuries entirely. If he's charged yes but just under investigation now.
  10. and yet he did it. I understand BB's reasoning but pfft it's the nature of the job to get tossed if don't produce wins. I would have taken it as let's face it if Kraft doesn't offer him that job he's probably a coach for the Jets and fired after a few seasons as doubt they'd draft Brady. I agree it did run a tad long. I probably would have had the less professionals and maybe 2-3 players/coaches and call it a night. 90 minute run time would be ideal.
  11. I wish they hadn't protected Bob Kraft as they did. Yet understand why in or to get the Kraft/Belichick shot towards the end.
  12. Plus what GM would take a job with a HC already in place unless they had a prior connection like McDermott and Beane.
  13. I have reservations, I mean Corey Moore lead the NCAA in sacks when we drafted him and like Solomon he was undersized and busted. It doesn't mean Solovan will but there is a reason he fell in the draft and pretty sure it wasn't based on production/attitude or off the field issues....
  14. But but Damar claimed it be a dream to play for the Steelers, guess means we need to unload him cuz he hates the Bills [/chicken little]
  15. Guess Cincy in trouble with money they're giving Burrow, Higgins and Chase.
  16. Jimmy is better than BB at finding talent yet think the latter better at Xs and Os. Both up their in overall coaching though easily in Top 5 of the modern era.
  17. I thought Smoot be a good UFA signing a few years ago. He's a good rotational guy assuming he's healthy. As he had 5.0 sacks for four straight seasons.
  18. Until Miami can beat winning teams on a regular basis they won't be hosting a playoff game anytime soon.
  19. The issue on this is outside of Hollins and Isabella none of these guys are going to be on ST and that's what you ask your back end guys to do.
  20. Yet we also signed Cephus who another "bigger slow" WR and same could be said if Coleman and Shorter who we've brought in recently. Not sure if it's the GM/scout/OC/WR coach or starting QB that asked for these but seems a bit of a pattern to be more than just a coincidence.
