IF someone tackles Dyson on the kickoff nobody cares how bad RJ played because he won us the game when he left the field, he gets the Flutie treatment and treated as a hero and most likely don't care about Flutie until the next season, yet even with Flutie or RJ we would never had won a Super Bowl against the Rams, so who cares?

Yeah we have a rule of only one Pop per character yet we bended the rules when we got a 2nd Dwight Schrute and the upcoming baby Yoda. Edit: Our house is has collections in almost every room in either a baseball bat case or on a floating shelf. I'm actually shocked our collection is so high as it doesn't feel we have so many with it spread across six rooms and to think I haven't even started my man cave.

The hate comes from Flutie undermining Johnson, even if you think your better you don't campaign. Instead he divided the locker room. In terms of RJ's crappiness, the kid has ONE NFL start before he got here. Sure he struggled his first two games against San Diego and Miami. Yet that 3rd game against the Rams he was pretty good and we should have realistically won that game if Flutie could have killed that clock in the end to avoid the Rams getting the ball and win in last few seconds. The game following that he beats a 49ers team. He gets hurt vs Indy and doesn't play again until Week 17 when he plays great against New Orleans. Yes, Flutie played well in 1998 but he outright sucked in 1999, Phillips played RJ in the finale and played great again showing a spark that the offense hadn't seen all season beating a Colts team that Flutie lost to in our season opener that year. So that's why Flutie got benched right fullyso or not. Those that clamor record only didn't want to see Flutie's horrible stats, they just accepted the win for the win. Hell people complain about Josh's struggles last year, Flutie's completion percentage in 1999 was worse!!! despite playing how many games in the USFL, NFL and CFL prior to that? To me the biggest flaw in supporting Flutie is he didn't play well and he wasn't going to be a long term answer at QB at his age. Toss in Flutie's renegotiated contract after 1998 killed our cap. At least with RJ there was hope with youth on his side, yet again his inability to play through injuries, inability to be consistent cost him his job ultimately but I would like to have seen him in 1998/1999 with more playing time to see if he could have come out of it, if he didn't oh well we just get rid of him that much faster. You're right with Flutie we probably see him throw 2 or 3 interceptions instead of taking the sacks RJ took and the Titans end up getting a few more FG attempts and the game out of reach in the 4th Quarter because everyone can play this revisionist history game since nobody knows for sure what Flutie would have done it that game.

I agree that forcing Lamar to pass is a path to success, yet think also important to stop Ingram from running. As I don't mind if Lamar runs because he can't run all day and win. Essentially leave the game in Lamar's hands and stop his TEs and Ingram and think you can stop the Ravens.

Maybe we should line up White against Andrews? to take away Lamar's favorite target.

Wegman’s re-launching Flutie Flakes for Ravens game

How could Flutie win us a Super Bowl if he couldn't win us a 1st Round playoff game against Miami? Oh I know it wasn't his fault yet all his wins were because of HIM. Sorry not buying it. Flutie was a game manager QB in 1999 plain and simple. -

If Flutie was such a winner why did he bounce around to do many teams in the CFL and NFL? Truly great ones tend to stick around on one team. Flutie didn't win in his first stint in NFL or when he left the Bills. "He won" because had a great D bail him out in 1999, when we needed him to make a play with the game on the line he literally dropped the ball in 1998. His myth was bigger than his play and his height. If want to say he was better than RJ I'll agree but never him call anything more than average maybe equal to Ryan Fitzpatrick. -
I'm a fellow Funko Pop collector, I got my wife into it and combined we have over 200. The appeal is nostalgia/tribute to things you like. I mean I have Pops of Josh Allen/Jack Eichel/favorite wrestlers/tv-movie-comic characters etc.

A couple? I counted six. He wasn't the same player in 1999 as he was 1998. He a grand total of 20 TDs in 1999. It's ironic but you know what 1999 also was? The last season of Bruce, Andre and Thurman but yeah I give credit to an average QB leading us to the playoffs not three HOFers and top defense of the year. Sorry I can't see what you're seeing. -

Maybe because the Rams had the 4th best defense with regard to points against and Flutie was a turnover machine whereas McNair didn't make any in that Super Bowl and our running game didn't have anything close to Eddie George. I don't think we would have won it if somehow RJ were to play in this hypothetical game either for what it's worth. -

Flutie averaged like 16 points a game the last 5 weeks or so, we might beat Tennessee but no way we beat the Rams with that kind of production. RJ sucked at staying healthy. As a result he could never be a full time starter. Either way neither him or Flutie were good enough to get us past the first game of the playoffs but at least RJ left the field with us ahead of the Titans which you can't say about Flutie in his 0-2 NFL playoffs record (he lost with the 1986 Bears too with one of the leagues best defenses that season). -

Did Flutie turn the season around or land in a fortunate position? RJ had an awesome game against the Rams in Week 3 but we lost in the last few seconds in part because Flutie couldn't kill the clock. RJ then followed that up with a win in Week 4 with a win against the 49ers. I find it funny all the Flutie lovers always forget these things. -

The secret out he hadn't been juicing out with HGH all these years instead he's been eating these.... Flutie also had a critical interception before the half in that game. Yes, Doug played well but when he left the field we were losing in part cause of his fumble. For all his supporters that ignore this fact then they should also ignore all the times "he" won. The hate on Flutie is in 1999 he was a glorified game manager at toward the end of the season the offense wasn't producing much, it looked like RJ sparked the offense with a great performance against Indy. Truth be told if Tennessee doesn't score on the Music City Miracle RJ gets the Flutie magic treatment and the fan in house fighting stops and we likely cut Flutie sooner. and eventually RJ sooner than later and maybe alter team history. -

The 1999 version of Flutie sucked.
