Xavier Worthy: So far, not much more than a gadget guy
The Jokeman replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
And we shut down Kelce. DHop, Brown. But I know Worthy is better then all of them. I don't buy it. Instead he's better than our worst CB, Elam. -
Yup. He isn't near as good as he once was.

This is rare but I agree with this analysis

I can't even remember 1st 2nd or 3rd down that drive. Must have been bad. -

Who do you replace him with? -
We tried that with MVS. Our problems aren't on offense. It's lack of top end talent in defense.
-
And look at the talent Mahomes has in Worthy, Brown, DHop and Kelce has and yet we still lost by 3. Put Chris Jones on the Bills and then tell me who has a better defense?
-
I felt like Moore was going to end up in Dallas, he could up as Saints guy too but both jobs are ones id pass on.

Same with most QBs. I can't think of one QB that didn't have help and win a ring. At this point Allen reminds me of Steve Young and the monkey on his back.

Really? We had a chance to win with 3:33 left in 4th quarter with possession. I'm sorry we had a chance and failed, granted a few key plays earlier and maybe things turn out differently but it's not on coaches alone. -
Is Worthy production because of his skill level or opportunities? I ask because with Rashee Rice going down they had to find a way to replace him. It would appear Worthy was the guy penciled in to do so. If Keon got the same amount of targets as Worthy he would have easily beat Worthy in every statistical measure except rushing stats but that might a fallacy on my end as Worthy averaged 5.2 yards per carry vs Keon's 9. What's even more amazing to me is Worthy as fast as he is had almost twice as many catches as Keon (59 vs 29) yet had almost half the 20 yard catches (9 vs 22). McKonkey another who has better stats because who else is Hebert throwing to? Anyone who is calling Keon a bust might want to look back as he had a better YPC than any rookies from the 2021-2024 draft combined. All this despite playing out of position for those calling him to be a big slot. We aren't losing because our QB and his offensive cast is failing. It's failing because our defense is breaking more than bending in the playoffs.

Cook and Benford are good but not elite, I agree we need to find another difference maker or two. As much people are going to dog on Kincaid the guy was hurt most of this season so he wasn't able to step up from his very good rookie season. We just need to find a disruptive DE. The question of course is at what cost? As Von Miller looked like he could be it until his injury. Dayo Odeyingbo seems to fit the type of big DEs we like and could see him come on a relatively fair salary to add to the mix if/when we part ways of Von. Trading for guys like Crosby or Garrett just don't seem feasible as need to re-sign guys like Benford, Ty Johnson, Hollins and possibly Cooper this offseason and have to also find a CB to replace Douglas and likely S to replace Hamlin and find a difference making DT (I was all about Bobby Brown in the draft and love to add him as UFA but not sure we could afford him and Odeyingbo).

I agree Cook should have been on the field more on that final drive. Also in retrospect going for and missing the 2 point advantage after getting the extra point but us in a bad place. Toss in KC ability to stop our tush push, great plays them and of course questionable calls lead to us failing. Gotta wonder though why we have a FB on the roster when we rarely use him. Not a knock on Gilliam but at this point to me he's a waste of a roster spot. -
I disagree he made a play before getting concussed that showed how valuable he was. As I don't think he takes the penalties or gives up the yards that Elam did in that game.

Yes, the one we kept is an OG. -
True and he is supposed to be a better man CB vs zone and sorry to say he didn't display that on Sunday. He's a bust flat out granted Benford who was taken in the same draft looks like a steal so they kind of balance each other out in that regard.
-
Tre White, Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde are hard to replace. At best we can say is Benford replaced White yet can't say Other two have. Rapp did some good things but at times him and Hamlin looked lost in coverage.
-
Why would he? Saints don't have anything close to a franchise QB nor in position to draft one. I hope Spags goes and he takes some free agents with him.

Josh has beaten Lamar 2x in the playoffs. He's lead the Bills to more playoff appearances than Burrow and made more Conference championships than both of them. Simply put Josh is the 2nd best QB in the league now who has battles the best 4 times in the playoffs each time because the best has a better team around him.

Hard to beat the Chiefs and the refs every post-season

I hadn't seen the neutral zone thing until now. It makes it the not giving us the spot even worse. -
Jakobi and Kupp both play in the slot. Not sure adding them helps the WR core. Watson is brittle and not a guy I think can count on. Waddle and Pickens play on outside and give us and help us. I voted to trade for Pickens because to me he's best on your list yet ultimately prefer keeping Cooper on a friendly deal.
