  1. Are you aware that Metcalf had 11 games last season with less than 80 yards receiving?
  2. Elam showed me against KC he not going to workout here. I had hope as he did show good things here and there but no consistency whatsoever. Time to just move along.
  3. Or maybe they've agreed to terms but holding off announcing it cuz you know stuff like that happens all the time. Give the extensions get the press this weekend, re-signers press Monday and Tuesday and new guys Wednesday and beyond.
  4. It's called scouting the draft and anticipating what be available with our pick. Fill other holes in free agency and give your self a direction in the draft. Heck look at those 90s drafts wed lose a CB in free agency and draft one in the 1st round to replace them. It was almost a yearly cycle.
  5. Humphrey would likely not started over Morse unless we shifted him to G. Yet would he be a Pro Bowl G? Who knows. DeJean would t be as impressive here without the aided pass rush Philly had. Ford was a 1st Round talent that many felt could be a quality RT yet I know many conveniently forget that. Elam on paper looked like a quality prospect but not every pick is a hit see CEH in KC. Payton Turner in Nawlins. Daxton Hill in Cincy. It's easy to think we've drafted bad but honest dig deep you'll see we ain't as bad as make us out to be.
  6. I grew up in Kenmore and we always had Francos (the original location we went to is now where Curry's is if anyone else remembers) and to this day I still adore it. I also like Bocce, La Hacienda on Hertel (Bob and Johns), Picasso's and Imperial. I watch him, is great fun but to me hard judging pizza with just one bite.
  7. I just don't like idea of a speed/slot WR in the 2nd. Also the DT reminds me of Carter that got last year. I get Brown fills need at NT yet seems severely under paid so if he's for depth who starting at NT? Sweat a bit of question mark, I get he'll get over paid but rather not.
  8. The only free agent signing I don't like is Sweat. I also have questions on the draft as a whole feels like a mismatch of needs and just felt like BPA.
  9. Talk about Favre 2.0
  10. The Vikings have a 1st round rookie set to start next season, they could also add a veteran to the mix. Jefferson has his money and doubt he complains until Chase gets his bag.
  11. I think Brown gonna get a big offer from somebody and it going to shock some. Another name I didn't see in first group was DT TJ (Tedarrell) Slaton. He was amongst the best 1 techs in 2023. We could get some intel from Rabavich if gives us what we need and of course doesn't kill the cap. https://packerswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/2024/06/09/packers-dl-tj-slaton-among-top-graded-1-techniques-during-2023-season/74036529007/ DE Dayo Odeyingbo is the name that fits the mold of DE we like in gas length and can play outside or inside. His career high in sacks is 8 so don't think he'll get high end money but he can start and maybe we draft a guy to rush on 3rd downs.
  12. Under 30 and coming off Super Bowl hype. Please note my comments about adding him were in jest.
  13. That's kinda my point that some scream for us to sign Sweat or add X in free agency cuz they so much better than what we already have etc but likely cost a helluva lot more in terms of cap space.
  14. Dayo Odeyingbo feels more of a guy we'd add as brings height and inside/outside flexibility. Toss in he might be cheaper than Sweat. Yet think have to wait for Von to be gone first.
  15. Thanks. I guess Josh's Sweats 8 sacks last season mean he's a better pass rusher than Groot too.
  16. Glad to have him back.
  17. Garrett had 9 games without a sack last season.
  18. Stripes or orange jumpsuit?
  19. Mike White likely gets the job, I wonder if when we cut Mitch for cap space.
  20. He's a good player but at 31 yeah idk seems a tad risky.
  21. We need a NT aka a guy that can take on two offensive lineman at once and let guys like Oliver and Bernard to be clean to tackle ball carriers or rush the QB. Think Ted Washington, Pat Williams, Fred Smerlas, Booger McFarland, Tim Bowens, Tony Siragusa....
  22. Thankfully he didn't start sooner or we would have never bottomed out to be in a position to get Bruce Smith and some of the other talent we acquired. In retrospect Kelly playing in the USFL helped us getter the talent he took advantage of when he got here. Toss in trading Greg Bell for Bennet forced us to take a chance on a RB named Thurman Thomas the draft the following year etc.
  23. Levitre was a pretty solid guard when he was here, in fact he an all rookie but think that season Wood played Guard. Toss in Wood also played with Ritchie Incognito who was a pretty good player (note I said player not person). I'd put Wood in same class as Morse but maybe give more to the latter as seemed to have a bit more leadership to him.
  24. Trey McBride disagrees with this argument.
  25. With what picks? Two low end 2nds likely get us marginal rookie production and adding Metcalf takes away a significant amount of cap room to preventing us signing other guys. I understand the appeal but until we fix the defense this team is likely not going to go any further in the playoffs.
