The Jokeman replied to Heitz's topic in Off the Wall
Is Steve Merchant in it? -
Isn't that the scar from when he lost his eye? I thought Wanda Vision was fun.

Kuemper be ideal but he might want more than 3 years as this could be his last "big" contract.

Gunner's 2022 Draft Quarterback Evaluations
The Jokeman replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
and comments the Panthers are making remind me of Buddy Nix the year we took Manuel. -
I'll admit I haven't watched many games this season but it feels good that they team isn't a basement dweller anymore as Granato is getting the most from this bunch no doubt. We need to find a goalie though as don't feel UPL a long term answer and Levi might not be in the NHL for another 2-3 seasons.

I might be an outlier here...... Draft needs
The Jokeman replied to Yantha's topic in The Stadium Wall
I disagree with Center being a top need as Morse got an extension and Bates can swing over if needed. Tight End is a need in that are top 2 are UFAs after this season and doubt both stay after this season. I think we could draft one from Round 4 and below. Guard is interesting as Stafford likely not a long term solution but I can't see going for a non starter in Round 1 yet could get a quality guy at #25 that could step in and start in 2023 with Stafford retired. RB needs an upgrade and/or compliment to Motor. DE is a position you can always add depth too yet we're 5 deep and be tough for any rookie to crack it. CB is a need if think Tre won't be back in late September plus depth on the outside is questionable and nice with one returnability. OT I add one to the mix. LB if a good one falls am good taking one. WR isnt a top round need to me as it depends me of the Gabe Davis draft where can find good guys everywhere but again nice to have one that can return kicks. I could also see us taking a chance on a punter. The kid from PSU feels right to me in Round 5 or 6. -
Gilmore to colts… Bills WERE interested
The Jokeman replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Xavier Rhodes who Gilmore is replacing in Indy works for me. -
This would have been a good signing to pair with DaVante Adams not replace him.

I disagree once Levon signs than Portillo time to be benched is ticking, that said I wish the Sabres could sign him or if not able to trade his rights for something.

5th year option, what positions constitute it the most?
The Jokeman replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
OL/DL seems like a good choice as any as if you get a good one the longer you can keep them around the better. -
I agree the one CB to me that screams to me that fits us is Kyler Gordon and while we could take him in Round 1 we might be able to trade down and still get him in the early 2nd. If so then I'd hope a QB thirsty team would trade up with us and give us a few extra picks and still let us get Gordon if no big trades happen then just take him at #25..

Question is without an agent what kind of contract does Lamar get?

RB Isaiah Spiller jumps in and saves baggage

This was my immediate thought. -
Have you ever seen one of your teams go all the way?

Hershiser was just on fire that season. Losing game 1 with Gibson's HR definitely helped the Dodgers for sure. -

I agree Rickey drew walks where pitchers gave Barry "juiced" Bonds walks to avoid home runs. That said those great A's teams were helped with juiced Canseco and McGwire so I can't complain too much. Yet Rickey to me one of the top 5 OFers of all time. As I doubt we ever see someone steal 100 bases in a season again and he did it 3x, his career SB record won't ever get touched either. Then you throw in his walks and runs he likely be unmatched. -
Old school comedian that got a bad reputation with the thin skin crowd but great at his craft. RIP.

Ascending Gabe Davis, with no Sanders around he'll get a majority of snaps on outside WR opposite Diggs, count on a career year in catches and receiving yards. Descending-Knox, OJ Howard should get more playing time than our backup TEs got last season and will take away some of the looks/stats Knox got. Shocking Shaq Lawson will be second on the team in sacks this season behind Von Miller. Packing Zack Moss, a rookie RB (am hoping Ty Chandler) with more speed and return ability unseats him.

Josh is top 4 imho Brady, Mahomes, Rodgers and Allen are my rank. After that Watson, Burrows and Herbet.

I'm an Oakland A's fan and was able to enjoy the 1989 season but 1988 and 1990 moreso the latter hurt badly. I also was a Rickey Henderson fan and was glad to see him win another championship in 1993. -

Oh wow! I went to high school with the guy on the right in the thumbnail. I'll have to DVR just to see his exact role with the team.
