Isaiah McKenzie aka, Lil Dirty, sounds like he’s moving on
The Jokeman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Diggs and Davis definitely guys for the outside. Beasley in the slot is good if healthy. Stevenson isn't a bad WR when he played either. I just think we have higher needs than WR even if McKenzie leaves. -
Pats hire Joe Judge back, may not hire an OC
The Jokeman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Kraft feels that Bill can't compete with McDermott he might want to move on. Also I don't know how much Belichick want to stick around if can't keep winning. As until he improves as a GM the Pats might be a mid tier team. As to me is a Kraft is a Jerry Jones type owner that now has tasted winning doesn't want it to stop. -
Rumored Giants Players Available for Trade

Toney was good when he played. He reminds me of Percy Harvin. -

He could be on a short list of 3rd round targets. The key is finding guys who can get seperation and/or short area quickness vs long speed imo. -
Giants are hiring Don "Wink" Martindale as their DC

I'd love Bradberry as a replacement for Levi but he'd cost too much against the cap. -

Bill likes guys he's comfortable with obviously. It might be his ultimate undoing because GM Belechick isn't great and Kraft might move on if he doesn't show he can't win without Brady. -

McKenzie getting benched speaks loudly to me. Yes, he's a good player but to me he's just a guy. I have no issues moving elsewhere including developing Stevenson more. -
At the league minimum sure as at his age/health concerns he's a backup TE which we lack. I'd take a chance in him on a one year deal and maybe draft a kid in Round 4 to compete with Sweeney at TE3.

Davis Webb on FA visit with NYG (update - signed)
The Jokeman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I could see Barkley back assuming Trubinsky not returning. I'd also like drafting a guy in Rounds 6 or 7 to develop and see if can build to trade down the road. We could draft a kid to compete with Haack or to develop on the PS with eye to replace him if he struggles again. -
Texans expected to hire Lovie Smith for HC
The Jokeman replied to Gambit's topic in The Stadium Wall
The problem was Flores basically threw Belichick under the bus when the Texans front office has ties to him. The Texans feel like the Ralph Wilson lead Bills to be honest as do the Jaguars in that their owners just don't know how to run a football organization and until they find a GM that can their in trouble of being the laughing stock of the league. You do have to recruit in the NFL, and as important as it is in college, culture might be more important in the NFL. The McDermott years are teaching me more about the ins and outs of a football locker room that admit have never been in before. -
Athletic article forecasting our cap casualties

I think we could look for a Klein eventual Edmunds replacement in this year's draft if a guy we like falls to us. As I can't see us giving Edmunds big time money with Josh's big salary starting in 2024. -

You might be able to move Ford and a 7th rounder for a 6th rounder on draft day. -

Why Wallace? When Dane was thrust into the #2 CB role when Tre got hurt I felt he was as good as Levi. That said I'd still look to improve the position with a 1st or 2nd round pick. -
Thurman Thomas was far faster than I thought he was...

If you haven't seen OJ Simpson run then take a look. Spiller might have better clocked speed but OJ had size and speed that might be unparalleled to anyone except Bo Jackson. -

He congratulated him hearing he had the job from sources from Bills and Giants. Obviously Bill got his Brian's confused. -

Watching Mahomes he's everything I worried what Josh would be. He just relies too much on his athleticism etc. much aka hero ball Josh. It's served him well but we see where failed him in that final drive in the 2nd and 4th quarters against the Bengals. It's obvious he benefits from Hill and Kelce as can't see him doing as well with Diggs or Knox if situations were reversed. I say this as a non fan of Mahomes and Josh in their draft years, I'm glad we have Tre and Josh instead of Mahomes. -
I think we're still easily the best team in the division, amongst the 3-8 best in the conference and league assuming the offense doesn't slip with Dorsey. We still need help at #2 CB where I could see taking a high draft pick on as I'm done with Levi, also need to draft an eventual replacement for Edmunds on the defense, also may need to replace Hughes, Addison and Butler as could see all leaving. On offense we need depth at WR as think next year's our last year with Beasley and think McKenzie walks. Knox stepped up but we have nothing behind him, backup QB could be a worry if Trubisky leaves and always nice to add depth on the Oline. I'd also a speedy back that can compete with Singletary as the top RB as Moss showed nothing this season.

Unless he wants to stick with being at 'bama.

Lake Dawson's name has popped up in the past too. One thing you like about Beane and McDermott they do like to get good guys around them.
-
I just remember his name linked to the Bears, he's a link https://www.bleachernation.com/bears/2021/03/19/the-bears-are-showing-an-interest-in-free-agent-receiver-isaiah-mckenzie/

He probably figures he's got the New England job when Bill leaves which all things considered isn't bad if they can get Mac Jones some help at WR.
-
He was close to signing with the Bears last off-season but returned. I've always felt McKenzie was under appreciated as aWR yet this season it's obvious where he falls in the depth chart. I'd love him back but with Josh getting more money it's hard to keep everyone.
