I think I originally joined in 1999 when I was still an undergrad at UB. I've since graduated, started grad school, dropped out of grad school, found a job, lost a job and now in my current position for 18 plus years. On the personal side, I got married and bought a house.

I suppose I could put the savings into a CD to get more interest on my savings but meh ultimately that's too much work and want to ensure I have some cash on hand incase an emergency.

It's the housing market, I live in Tonawanda and I bought my house back in 2017 and it's now estimated to be worth 55% more than I paid for it. I did some small improvements like cleared out some bushes, replaced a concrete porch and side door which a very small amount vs what it's worth now.
