Only if they can re-sign him after the season. -
Not likely but you never know in the NFL.

Actually we should be rooting for the Jags as they hold a H2H tiebreaker with Chiefs and therefore they have a chance to keep them out of the playoffs.

Swann and Stallworth, Rice and Taylor, The Marks Brothers (Clayton and Duper), Reed and Lofton, Irvin and Harper, Moss and Carter, Jimmy Smith and Keenan McCardell, Holt and Bruce and am sure list could go on and on.

The Athletic - some grim stats (new Tim Graham piece)

Joey Bosa is mid tier? I disagree. Who exactly do you think we could have added that would make us better than we are now? -
Well except that guy named Daryle Lamonica...

Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?

The 49ers gave up their 2021 first-round pick (No. 12 overall), a 2022 first-round pick, a 2022 third-round pick, and a 2023 first-round pick to the Dolphins in order to get the 3rd overall pick in 2021 from the Dolphins. -
None that I've heard mention seem like realistic options when people talk about trading for McVey or getting Mike Shanahan. Sure there might be someone but when hear to other HC candidates none thrill me.

Call in hubris or bravado as got to think that he thinks if Saban and Jim Harbaugh can coach in the NCAA so could he. The biggest issue I see is his coaching staff especially his two sons on the defensive side of the ball all look like yes men that have worked with him in the pros and/or have little college coaching experience which to me different than NFL coaching. In terms of picking UNC? Yeah no good answer on that one.

The 49ers gave up three 1st for Trey Lance, we're certainly not traded them All for one 1st. It would take them multiple 1sts and a bunch of players for the reigning MVP see Herschel Walker to the Vikings type compensation. -

He's definitely part of it. I think age is also catching up with Taron Johnson and we still have yet to find the NT and big nickel we've lacked since McDermott got here. -

His best role is in the slot so again that's why I'd look elsewhere. I mean Ed Oliver can play NT (1 tech) but I'd much rather see him as DT (3 tech). Again just cuz a guy can do it means that he should do it. I suppose it's similar to your thoughts of Keon on the outside vs in the slot. -

Is he the best option? No. I've mentioned many times I'd much rather add his teammate Tre Tucker as he plays on the outside and adds a speed element that we lack presently. Toss in he's younger and under contract for this and next season. -

I agree Meyers replacing Moore is an upgrade to me but is he going to be at his playing on the outside? No so to me it's the whole square peg in a circle hole. -

Why not go after Andre Johnson while we're at it. -
Why doesn't McDermott call the Defensive plays full time??

Hindsight always make guys look more intelligent. I respect Joe as a podcaster but last I checked he's never coached at the NFL level. -

Outside WR is definitely on my short list of draft needs this offseason but so is interior OL with McGovern contract ending after this season and Cyrus' after next season. You're right outside of Legette the other WRs we mentioned aren't X like and that's what some posters fail to see that all WRs are not the same just like all DTs are the same. -

Checkout Ja'Lynn Polk's stats taken 37th overall. FYI Coleman has more yards receiving in his career than the guy taken 28th (Worthy), 31st (Pearsall) and 32nd (Legette). But I know people don't want to talk about that. -
and replace him with whom? again if going to suggest someone gets fired than mention a suitable replacement and hopefully a reason why they're better than what we have.

The difference is Jerry Jones thinks he's the world's greatest owner and his son is the best GM ever. Thankfully Pegula stays out of things as Wilson used to meddle all the time and and yeah I'm going to get hate but he was a horrible owner. I get people are upset we lost and how we looked the last two weeks but it happens to every team. The question is if we can recover from it, I for one think we can as going to get PEDs guys back who are more NFL proven then some of our recent depth toss in if Hairston comes back it will add a dimension we lack now on D which is speed. Toss in we've seen things like this happens in seasons before and we've righted the ship then.
