  1. And people think McDermott is a bad coach?
  2. So you prefer he just stand on sidelines looking at his feet with a hood over his head with a tear in his eye?
  3. Bring in Mike Ditka and trade all of picks for Ricky Williams cuz yeah we're just one WR away from being the best team in the league.
  4. It's not soberness it's over valuing the greatness of times gone by. Everybody remembers Doug Flutie at times in 1998 but everyone wants to forget how bad he was in parts of 1998 and most of 1999.
  5. Just like the Colts cut a 2nd Round WR that was taken in same draft as Coleman and produced less? No, if we want to move on you trade him but tbh Coleman is a whipping boy from so many fans here and I don't understand it.
  6. Not when you have Shakir playing the slot. The obvious move was trade for DK Metcalf and B word that he isn't playing up to the $30 mullion extension we er the Steelers gave him 🙄
  7. Who on the field produced as well as the guy who ran the fastest time clocked in the combine. But I know let's just toss him aside cuz he is a 23 year old kid who can't keep a schedule.
  8. You see it as settling i see it they identified a need for an outside WR and felt that Coleman fit that picture and felt could get him by trading down in doing so.
  9. You've seen rookie WR production this season right? The top two stat producers look great but the rest are well let's say not as good.
  10. If Ladd is an outside WR why do the Chargers line him up in the slot 60% of the time the last two seasons? Toss in keep Quinton "the bust" Johnston and sign Keenan Allen this off-season? If Ladd is so great on the outside the Chargers are sure wasting his talent. McDuffie been an all pro slot CB, guess what so has Taron Johnson but I know all WRs and CBs can not play at the same level anywhere on the field. But I know you thought it was smart letting Mario Williams drop into coverage in Rex's defense? Cuz he's an all pro pass rusher.
  11. Ok armchair GM show me what other 4 WRs can add factoring in draft position and cap room that we can add that are significantly better than our current room?
  12. Jumping up for McDuffie cost us an additional 3rd in that draft that turned into Terrell Bernard. It's debatable but honestly I don't see McDuffie as a missing piece on this defense. Ladd has played well but did this team need another slot WR? So a defense without Taron Johnson (as assume McDuffie replaces with him) and Bernard. And an offense with Ladd in the slot vs Shakir oh and still questions at outside WR. Yeah not seeing a significant improvement.
  13. Dependent on what you build around them.
  14. The Jets ran my thought process as couldn't think of another top end WR that got injured recently. I suppose Nico Collins might be another example.
  15. They're closing access to the area around City Hall til 9:00 pm tonight so going to be a real bottle neck down there.
  16. I heard he gambled it away at OTB and Byron Brown sold it back to us for $3.50
  17. It's not like we only lost Oliver, we also lost Hoecht, Benford etc. Most teams yes can afford one injury but when start adding them up it does matter.
  18. Maybe this will help us "unlock" the issues with the offense.
  19. Of course officer, I only had a drink or two and just "tipsy". 🙄
  20. Have you looked at the Steelers WR room outside of Metcalf? They truly are no names.
  21. and fans continue to bash the WR situation but we still have had an above average offense despite that. I get why Beane got frustrated with the call in radio hosts that do nothing more than criticize the WR room yet don't look at the big picture. Last season we broke records when it came to points per game both from a team standpoint and NFL standpoint yet all people wanted to do is lament that our WR sucked because we didn't have some alpha dog that put up ungodly stats. He also pointed out that many of the radio guys bashed Beane for drafting Allen instead of Rosen which in retrospect was the right call. The one thing I will say is in all the years he's been here the team has never bottomed out or looked like it couldn't win a game or two despite all the injuries we've had. Is it due to strong roster building aka not having to rely on super stars to pace you? Look no further than to the Jets who's passing offense is in shambles in part because Garret Wilson is hurt and they have nobody behind him that can step up and replace him. Yes, our offense been questionable since the Palmer injury but the plays have been available but for whatever reason Josh not been able to make them.
