  1. Shockingly he returns to New England, https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35516310/sources-bill-obrien-returns-new-england-patriots-oc Man Belichick seems to stick to "his" guys.
  2. Knox isn't a great blocking TE which hurts, toss in outside of Morse and Dawkins the rest of our offensive line are average guys. I'm not sure if someone can teach it but Cook seeming always trips himself not sure why. if Singletary walks we just need a plugger. To me Chris Rodriguez Jr. would fit the roll and not cost high draft capital.
  3. and the Browns taking Baker over Josh and the Jets taking Sam over Josh. No team is perfect in drafting.
  4. He was a top 10 pick and he hasn't shown to be a consistent pass rusher. Jeffery Simmons from the same draft class has 6.5 more sacks in 5 less games with arguably a lesser surrounding cast.
  5. Quinton Spain was good during his one season here, I don't think John Brown was over paid. I could continue but am sure you'd dispute it.
  6. I'm a sore loser, I don't want to see any AFC to win a Superbowl unless it's us.
  7. If a team like Indy hires Callahan gets at HC, drafts a CJ Stroud and offers Higgins $110 million would he walk? It's nice to think the players will give a "home town" discount but more than not they look to cash in.
  8. It's because we don't have a backup TE worth a damn on this roster. Morris at best is a number 3.
  9. I can't see Tee sticking around when his contact ends, obviously Chase is the alpha dog there yet Tee and Boyd are the guys that make your passing game the scary thing it is IMHO. Chase reminds me of Diggs in many ways.
  10. We thought the same going into last off season but some how got Von Miller.
  11. McDermott had Luke Keachley at MLB. Edmunds not nearly as talented. Toss in Taron Johnson is a good nickel CB but isn't a true big nickel in the Thomas Davis/Shaq Thompson sense.
  12. It's cuz Hodgins was starting with the Giants and as you eluded been around 3 years. Shakir is a rookie. Would I like Hodgins now to be our slot guy? Hell yeah but Shakir to me a more complete player.
  13. Boyd won't get a massive deal but might get a deal the Bengals can't match for a role player. As a team looking to improve their WR might give him a rich contract that enough to want to leave or feel more wanted is all I'm saying.
  14. I knew the Bengals were a tough matchup for our D so I wasn't too upset with losing. A little shocked our O wasn't better. But it is what it is, a good season that got beset by injuries when Von Miller went down I had doubts so didn't get as emotionally invested as did in prior years.
  15. Hodgins couldn't stay healthy nor play on ST. That's why he didn't stick around here.
  16. Zach Davidson is intriguing if he shows he could be a TE/Punter hybrid yet not sure he'll get enough of a chance to develop.
  17. KC is like the Patriots in that their division rivals aren't competitive which allows them to get wins abounds. I'll admits Mahomes is the best QB in the NFL too but his lack of wins against the Bengals and Bills in the regular season the last few seasons gives me pause. As Reid was great at leading Eagles to conference champion games too. The Bengals will be in trouble if Higgins and Boyd want to get paid and if their DTs leave in UFA or Hubbard gets a top deal elsewhere.
  18. I think we have a #1 WR an inconsistent #2/3 WR and developing #4 and an average starting TE. Yet need a reliable slot guy and 2nd TE.
  19. Shakir did look good yesterday, Romo mentioned he could be good contributor next year. He might develop but a to me like him in the 4th guy role and do more than McKenzie can as a catcher. Nobody was expecting Shakir to start. The thought was Davis be his playoff self in the regular season and Crowder/McKenzie man the slot. The last two weren't close to filling the Beasley role. Shakir was more of the developing young WR ala 2019 Davis.
  20. I just think we need another reliable option in the passing game. Not necessarily a true #2 but someone that can do what Beasley did. Can get 8-10 yards and catch 4-5 a game. As to me Davis and Knox aren't reliable enough.
  21. Phillips, Shaq and Martin and maybe Marlowe be guys I'd want back as long getting paid less than $2 million per season. I like Singletary but think he might want more than we can avoid on a RB 2. I love Poyer as a player but his age and contract demands not worth it. Edmunds just to me just bad at diagnosing plays IMHO and rather see someone spend big money on him.
