After yesterday who is your WR pick at 28?
The Jokeman replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I do not see Ladd as a #1 and think many feel we're looking to draft a #2 that can develop into a #1 to eventually succeed Diggs in three years. -
Trading up for a WR who bust in a strong draft year is so reminiscent of Sammy Watkins. No thanks. We'd have a lot to lose as we have serious depth issues at RB, DL, OL and S. We're not a single player away
-
Toss in the busting of Skyy Moore and Mecole Hardman they aren't great at identifying WRs.
-
The Cowboys have Michael Gallup and Brandon Cooks, what else do they need at WR? With Tyron Smith on the outs I've gotta think OT is high on their board.
-
He had throat cancer.
-
It's funny but when I read Xavier Legette's evaluation and read someone called him a good kick returner too and made me think of Moulds because both have alpha big WR bodies..
-
I agree with you on the holes but disagree about offensive driven league.
-
And last 1st Round skill.position they took was CEH.
-
If you're telling me with a healthy Milano, Bernard and White playing against KC we'd see same results I disagree with you. The 49ers have some of best skill positions in CMC, Deebo, Ayuik and Kittle and tell me why'd they lose?
-
Rices stats another example of product of no other great WRs around him. Yes, he's a talent but doubt he produces similar numbers if asked to be a number 2 here vs being a pseudo 1 in KC.
-
At what cost? Is Thomas vs an Adori Mitchell and say a DT Jordan Jefferson? As to me the two worth more than the one as to move up to get Thomas likely cost us our 4th.
-
Really? KC's defense is a big reason they beat us and others in the playoffs.
-
Goodwin never focused completely on football either. That said I'm not a Worthy fan.
-
We have other holes besides WR, double backing in Round 1 and 2 foolish. I'm okay going Round 1 or 2 and then Round 5 or 6 or 7 for another guy. Yet it looks like we'll have holes at DE,DT, S that need to look at early picks too. Thomas, Mitchell and Legette could be in the mix at 28 we should consider pending what happens in UFA.
-
Most WR who produce year one are helped by playing time/snap counts. Case in point Nuka and Addison last year benefitted from injuries to Kupp and Jefferson respectively. Flowers wasn't competing with many others with Andrews down etc. If we can get a rookie that can get 40-50 catches and 500-600 yards and 4-5 TDs with a healthy Diggs and Kincaid then we had a good pick.
-
Similar to Mitchell but a step slower. He's definitely on the list of possibilities at #28.
-
With that RAS and if he falls to #28 I can see Beane being all over him.
-
His writeups remind me of Josh Allen and wouldn't mind taking a flier on him as could develop and then be moved for a higher pick than we drafted him type situation.
-
Cornelius Johnson remains on my 3rd day wish list. Bub Means from Pitt also is another guy who could fly under the radar.

Mecole Hardman Whistleblower on KC Tampering!
The Jokeman replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hardman candidly admitted that, by that point, "I was so checked out, like, it was over with. I had already talked to (KC GM Brett) Veach and Pat (Mahomes), like, ‘Come get me.’" Two weeks later, he was traded back to KC.” I guess I misunderstood this comment. -
Mecole Hardman Whistleblower on KC Tampering!
The Jokeman replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
A GM talking to a player on another team is considering tampering. Now there's nothing in the rules that players can't reach out to other players but some Jets players supposedly felt Hardman was giving competitors info about the Jets playbook which is another error but of course that's on him not his team. -
What realistic Free Agents are on your wishlist for the Bills?
The Jokeman replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just look at the top list from the class, you'll see some NFL names and some no names. It happens all the time. https://247sports.com/Season/2018-Football/RecruitRankings/?InstitutionGroup=highschool/ -
What realistic Free Agents are on your wishlist for the Bills?
The Jokeman replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because Shorter was the top WR of his class coming out of high school so he's realistically a better talent than most other guys out there. Granted he may never have developed to his full potential in college and as a result may not in the NFL either. Only time will tell. -
Mecole Hardman Whistleblower on KC Tampering!
The Jokeman replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
To quote lawyers, previous success doesn't guarantee future success. While there's a chance KC could getting another franchise player from a loss of a pick due to a tampering charge it's highly unlikely.
