Bills signing CB Greg Stroman to PS
InTheBuffAllTheTime replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
haha. Hard to get excited about that card! -
I searched and found nothing in the post-game thread. Also found nothing in media articles. How do the Titans pull this out of the bag-o-tricks AGAIN against the Bills, on national TV, and it not get any press???? Can you imagine if it worked.........AGAIN.....legal or otherwise?? It's entertaining to me to think about the special teams coach pitching this idea to Vrabel in the game prep meetings. They must have been SO EXCITED to try this. Can't believe the MNF commentators didn't even reference it. Thought for sure they'd pull out the clip after it happened.

We talk about game planning - putting together strategies based on matchups, film, schemes, etc. Is it common-place for coaches to consult with other team's coaches on opposing teams? For example...Leslie Frazier calling up Chargers DC for intel on what worked well against KC. Is this considered fair-play? The Chargers certainly have interest in KC losing so they would be motivated to help but knowing "what goes around, comes around", would they do so?

I'm in Canada and stream using DAZN (Dah-zone). It's $20CDN per month so 100 bucks for the full season. Great app. All games live and on-demand, NFL Network, Hard Knocks, Football Life, etc. I'm also a cycling fan and watch the Tour de France. This year it's streamed on Peacock (NBCSports) so, like "Logic", I subscribed to ExpressVPN and Peacock for $4.99CDN per month. Both ExpressVPN and Peacock are available apps on FireTV stick so I watch on HDTV - no computer involved. All legal. Peacock is happy to take my money. ExpressVPN has servers all over the world including Toronto Canada so - although I haven't tried it - I have to imagine it will work fine from the US. Just choose the Toronto server, subscribe to DAZN and you'd be good to go. Anyone use this option?

Nice recognition on this board for AW's efforts. His performance was eye-opening for sure. I'd love to see him get more game action. We don't need to get down on anyone else though for HIS great performance. This team is rolling and AW MAY be able to help them be better. It just comes down to numbers. Who sits in order to elevate him? It's not 20 nor 26 - they've proven their worth. We need the WR, TE and OL depth. Jones is near the top on ST tackles. We need DL and LB rotation bodies to stop the Indy run attack. A spot would need to come from the DB depth. Do you sit a Jaquan Johnson / Dean Marlowe / Taron Johnson to play AW? Luckily I'll leave that decision to the coaches

Playoff Machine is up and running

Yup. And KC has Tampa, NO, and Miami. Maybe Miami can do us a solid and put Bills in play for bye -
Ditch RPO, More Play-Action, Run to the Right
InTheBuffAllTheTime replied to Back2Buff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"Take what the D is giving you." We hear it over and over again. "We have to be patient. If the D is playing two over the top and committing to preventing big plays then we have to be able to run and pass short underneath." SO FRIGGIN DO IT! I will need to rewatch but, from memory, there were AT LEAST 5 occasions where the back or receiver swung to the left as the outlet receiver and Josh never came back to him through his progressions. I don't mind McKenzie being a decoy for misdirection but having a top playmaker like Singletary picking daisies over by the sideline is not efficient use of talent. Great example: start of 2QR, called double screen - fake to left then to right then threw the ball away in the end zone - right before his fumble. Instead of just throwing it away, if he looked back left he would have seen Singletary WIDE OPEN for a walk-in. About 5 min left in half, still down 10-0, McKenzie motions left as the "fake jet-sweep" man and is standing over there waving his arms as there's no one out there. Josh throws 5 yards over the middle to Moss - no YAC. McKenzie would still be running. The offense is much more efficient when the "O" is removed from the RPO. Call two plays and audible to the other if the alignment doesn't fit but run the play that's called. After snap "OPTION" is not helping this team. Take what they give you. -
After a Big Bills Loss - Do You Avoid Internet/Media?
InTheBuffAllTheTime replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just on here now. Your's was the first thread I read. I get so amped up when they are winning I feel they let me down personally - especially in a nationally televised game. I know that's ridiculous but comes with being fan(actic). If they had won I'd be drinking the coolaid and reading every article I could find. When they lose I hide until the hurt wears off. -
Some obvious comments about 1sts vs 2nds: Coaches WANT their squads to succeed! They want to build confidence and create opportunities for success / wins; First team vs first team means ANY injured player is a starter; More difficult to evaluate bubble players against bubble players. Need to evaluate bubble players against better opposition. Summary: 1st teams (O and D) succeeded. Comments diminishing Josh's reported fantastic outing are simply missing the point - he succeeded in the situation the coaches put him in; I presume coaches got a good look at bubble players against better competition; No injury report so far that I've seen - could be good news or just incomplete. Good day coaches! The rest is just noise

Best possible Bills record is 13-3. Bills need to win-out to take the division unless the Pats have a meltdown (or TB blows knee). Tie-breaker at 13-3 goes to the Pats. (#3 Common Opponents due to Bills losses to PHI and CLE. NE hopeful losses to HOU, KC are not common opponents and they are not plausibly losing to CIN or MIA) Pats would need to finish no better than 12-4. Best way to those 3 additional losses are against HOU, KC, and BUF.

Why not just pie in the sky?....... Patriots are illing this week. Will lose to Houston. No reason to think that Mahomes and the Chiefs won't beat them in Foxboro the following week. Ravens could easily lose to SF this week but, if not, can lose to the Bills the following week. If we truly Billieve in The Process, it's very reasonable to believe we can run the table. Final records: Pats 12-4 (losses to BAL, HOU, KC, BUF) -------> #5 seed WC BAL 13-3 (losses to KC, CLE, BUF) or 12-4 (losses to KC, CLE, SF, BUF) -------> #2 seed BYE BUF 13-3 -------> #1 seed BYE (head-to-head tie-breaker over BAL or record) Screw the rest of the scenarios! BOOM.....(mouse drop) -
2019 Playoffs. 1st round

I'm also guilty of looking at the standings and remaining schedules to figure out the Bills' playoff path. Certainly I'm going to root in any individual non-Bills game for the best outcome that helps the Bills as in this thread. But......this type of analysis (below) is Bills fandom (and media) stuck in the Bills' miserable past. Top Wild Card: Buffalo Bills Current record: 7-3 Likely wins remaining: 2 (vs DEN, vs NYJ) Likely losses remaining: 3 (at DAL, vs BAL, at NE) Toss-ups remaining: 1 (at PIT) The miserable past had fans clinging to remote hopes that the stars would align for opponent losses and tie-breakers would fall in the Bills' favor. Likely losses????? Really??? I am going to choose to embrace The Process. Pretty sure the conversation in the locker room this week isn't "we gotta win this one cause we have some likely losses coming up". Like the players, I expect to win every one of the next 6 "this week's games". The Bills are in the driver's seat here. This year the other teams are praying for Bills' losses. Enjoy the ride. It's been a while. -
"Mud" lot just south of practice field next to Lot 1. Entrance from Big Tree Rd. Park up near fence near practice field. Party with Patty. Tell her Peter sent you.....and be prepared to do shots.

I am in Canada. I watch live games through DAZN (dazn.com). Very good service. Free 30 day trial which will cover your 2-3 games. Only 20 bucks (CDN) per month and you can cancel anytime. All content is available on demand as well. From their FAQ section: "DAZN is the only way to get unlimited access to every live NFL game this coming season with NFL Game Pass, NFL RedZone and NFL Sunday Ticket. DAZN is currently available in Japan, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Canada on most connected devices including Smart TVs, smartphones, tablets and games consoles." Going to any of those locations? If not, maybe try a VPN service which may be able provide you an IP address from one of them.

I think that you might want to swap crayons for some brain food like spinach or broccoli. The league/networks don't have any policies in place to allow such a "swap". Possibly a great idea but with obvious logistical challenges. Maybe you can write the league to suggest it instead of continuing this thread.

Wow, not to be an as# here but the concept is pretty simple. The only games that the networks have an option to change the schedule for is Sunday night games, period. NBC and the NFL have the option to switch teams scheduled to play earlier that Sunday with the late game. This applies to weeks 10-15 with week 16 set in stone (only game on Christmas Day). Week 17 has no late game scheduled so any one of Sunday's match-ups could be moved. My put is that week 13 against TEN is our best bet. NE plays SNF in week 10 at the Jets and then host KC on MNF the following week. NE will have been in primetime 3 times by then and Indy will not be a great draw. The other possibility is week 12 against NYJ but that chance is slim because the ratings won't be great across the country for an AFC East match-up. Then there's always the possibility that the BUF @ NE game in week 17 will have playoff implications. Could happen!
