No one knows how good Jones is going to be or if he will improve physically.. the Pats came out flat against a hyped up Indy, the D played like crap against Buffalo. Yet amazingly in both games the Pats were in it till the end.. Also your memory must be foggy, Brady in year 2 hit a snag too, and the Pats failed make the playoffs at 9-7.. let’s not forget he played 2 less regular season games.. so Yes this could happen to a YOUNG Brady.. what matters is how he reacts and adapts.

Again, I had them between 10-11 wins at the beginning of the year. I think you called me worse than delusional.. and said they be lucky win 5. I already knew my team needed more be a SB contender even if they had won Sunday. The difference is my pats have met my expectations, I had over estimated how many wins the Bills would have. I mean you lose 1 game and the Pats win out your a 7th seed.. I had you guys fighting for the 1 seed.

I would, their O isn’t very good and I like our D against Big Ben. The Pats would run a ton and Jones be told take a sack over a TO.. I could see them beating the Steelers, I also see then beating the Bengals because of their inexperience QB and Coach.. Early games against Miami, Tampa, and a healthy NO and Dallas… all good games but NO, and well the Miami game really stung in hind site

They have an excellent defense and a dangerous WR in Waddle and would be the favorite in the East if they got Watson

Both games were close. I was disappointed in how ineffective the Pats D was in stopping the Bills O. Just a couple of stops and it’s a totally different ball game.. lol (before anyone gets their undies twisted I am not saying they should or could have just that I was more disappointed in them than the O. I wasn’t realistically expecting score more than 21_28 points.

Seeing as how he has ZERO deep threats that be true even if we had Rogers or Allen. The problem for Miami is their secondary isn’t that good.

Of course it’s crucial. Your in a tie for first place so any loss by the Bills and a win by NE takes you out of first place. Both teams hold their playoff destiny in their own hands.

No, I mean anyone watching at the time wasn’t like “OMG that’s going cost us the division!” I know I didn’t think they had a prayer at the division this year. It was just a rookie learning and we were fine with the loss.. now we look back and we are like UGH really hold onto the ball Harris lol.. AKA I thought the Bills be 14-1 or 13-2 at this stage too.. It was a good game! Bills O was damn unstoppable or at least looked it. To the Pats credit it was a 1 score game with 7 to go when Allen made the game clinching drive happen. It’s easy see why everyone got caught up into it.

What in my post made it sound like I thought the Pats were invincible or immortal? I was just pointing out how that game ended up making a huge difference that NO ONE at the time thought it would. Steelers have an amazing D when healthy. That loss was only shocking because Big Ben somehow scored on your D. The Steelers will stink next year unless they get a top notch QB in FA this year.

The Pats and Bills could easily have the top 2 records in the NFL. Pats right now could easily be 13-2 or 12-3 The Bills also could be 14-1 or 13-2. Was a weird year with a lot of close losses for both teams.

I feel the same way, I rather my Pats go on the road than face Indy again. Mind you I rather face Cincy and then face KC and if we are lucky.. the Bills in the AFCC game.. that be the ultimate..

That opening day loss is going to haunt us Pats fans. Wasn’t for that blown game we are still in control of the East ugh (lol I know it happened but you know what I mean by the frustration.. a game you lost that you know they should have won.)

IMO where someone is drafted is a useless stat. The truth is when the Bills got him it cost them a 1st round pick because he is a stud top 5 WR. Beasley is a good top #2 WR. Knox is a decent TE who he hit in in the draft. as for Lineman lol Onwenu is a 6th rounder for the Pats and is one of the best lineman, Wynn was a first rounder and spends more time in the medical tent than on the field, but when he does play he will get a holding call to negate some big play that game.. so drafting is a roll of the dice.

The trip was dirty, this looks like he is trying to punch the ball out.. but really hard tel if he was going down before Allen was already down or not. We are talking about his rookie year and how he stunk then and how you can’t call a QB based off of one year. Jesus some Bills fans love Allen so much they can’t see straight.

No one! And I mean no one! Was worried about Allen in his rookie year! Again he was average at best when he came back but no one was scared face him his rookie year and NO one game planned for his weakness. To be honest no one was scared of Allen till he had both Diggs and Beasley to throw to. Then he got scary.. not before.. I know you want believe that people thought Allen was a superstar in the making before then, they didn’t. again! Judging any WB by their rookie year is foolish.

If it was just THIS game and not also last week where he dropped two of Wentz god awful throws I would. What I am seeing is a player who gets smaller in big games. The only common denominator is they were both BIG Games and he choked in both of them.

What’s with people and saying “ the last couple games” as if the team was blown out and the game was never blue be on? Against Indy he rebounded and needed 1 dang stop and the Pats win that game. Hell if the Pats D stopped Allen on that last drive which started with 7 minutes they probably score the go ahead TD. Now against Buffalo that was mostly Harris willing then to victory, but Indy it was Jones making tight accurate throws to bring them back. also revisionist history much? Allen looked “better” but he still didn’t look GOOD! While Jones actually went toe to toe with superstars QBs and matched them score for score.. difference? No one schemed to find Allen’s “weakness” his rookie year, they are for Jones. As I have said before its to early tell how good or bad he will be but if he can adapt with the help of BB and McDaniels he will be fine. People also forget this is the longest he has ever played for. Rookie year is a tough year for all players..
