Going be rather interesting in the east this year with 3 VERY Young QB's. So here is how I see the 3 teams shaking out this year: Miami: I see the Offense taking a step BACK this year teams know how to prepare for Tannahill now and while Wallace is a nice deep threat he is an overpaid one trick pony. The team will still do ok as the D is IMO one of the top 10 in the NFL when healthy. Record: 8-8 Jets: Offense is a mess, and defense lost its best player. Team will struggle even if they had Joe Montana in his prime at QB. Record: 2-14 Bills: This one is tough for me, got a very good WR in the 2nd round also have a very good #1 WR already mixed with a dang good RB duo and a defense that should at least be average or better with the talent it has. THIS is the one team where the QB play will determine a lot. Record: ??? I honestly have no clue I need see your QB play even a couple meaningless games to determine, my gut says 9-7...

Blount will be the back who gets the football near the goalline or short yardage situations.. Vareen will be the 3rd dwn back and Ridley the workhorse..

Steve Johnson's interesting tweet.

As a Pats fan I found the comment stupid. I wasn't offended by it just thought it was a dumb thing to say is all. -
I disagree I saw the throws Luck made against the Pats, and Fitz could NEVER make those throws. IF given time he will burn the Bills big time, the reason he had a bad day against NE was the pass rush and blitzing. (2 of his INT was caused by the pressure up front.)
-
Bills: 1. Need to Involve your star RB as much as possible (screens, reverses etc) 2. You MUST get pressure on luck, he is a very good QB and can make amazing throws into tight spaces (his TD pass in the back of the endzone where Talib had good coverage was just WOW IMO.) 3. Going with 2 IMO the Bills need to BLITZ Luck and make him uncomfortable 4. Need ST to deliver a big play, maybe not a TD but a great return. Colts: 1. Protect Luck, even if you need do max protect 2. Establish the run, to keep Buffalo honest on D 3. NO brain cramps (Pick 6, or ST TD) This game can go either way, but if the Bills fail to pressure Luck the Colts could light up your secondary... will your DC do whats needed to make him uncommfy in the pocket?

I dislike the Colts, but WOW... No call on Luck hit
PatsFanNH replied to BILLS_ROC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You lost it... the Pats had 4 just on ONE O lineman! They had like 8 penalties before the Colts were called for ONE.. but hey whatever... As for the "unbiased" refs.. only delusional Bills fans call them that, but lets see those Unbiased refs either "accidentally" made the wrong call or were biased against NE to have them lose those 2 games... And the Pats 3 losses COMBINED are by less than a TD... -

LOL the play in question, Lucks head went down and HIT the helmet from the force of the hit.. That said, the Pats had a lot of penalties in that game, the refs were doing EVERYTHING they could try keep it a close game. They failed... Oh and Luck already part of the protected QB club, he is considered the future of the NFL w rogers. -
No was all a neck thing, Vomer (a olineman) was the one with the back issues in college.. and now the pros but is a great Olineman ..Gronk missed a season w a neck injury always a scary injury.. but he been a monster since.. and I am not worried imagine this O COMPLETLY HEALTHY.. (gronk, hernandez, welker,Lloyd, Now Elderman damn!!)
-
What!?! so having his leg rolled up by Pollard last year was an "injury prone" thing?? And a Broken Forearm in a fluke play (although I will not be shocked if it comes out he played most of the game with the break.) and he is injury prone. Oh and FYI his ONE injury in college was a neck one which scared teams off.. not that he was injury prone..

More I see this hit the more I think we need put little flags on the QB's. 10 years ago a QB complained about this hit he be laughed at. (All QB's do this now just sucks..)

Keys to tonights Bills v Phins Game
PatsFanNH replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In this league it is VERY VERY Unusual, most teams do not run much anymore but the Phins and Bills O need it to be successful.. teams like Indy,NE.GB,Houston,Pitt even it is the Passing that sets up the run not the other way around... so really is UNUSUAL and for modern style footbball original. -
cAPTAIN h, I figured meant put LOL or a silly face after my comment at work so got distracted.. OOH SOMETHIN SHINEY lol
-
You could def win all four but: Miami -- has a decent D and an up and down O St louis -- Has a good D (Minus the Pats game) also an up and down O Indy -- Top 5 O will cause problems for your D IMO, and D is up and down.. But I think they beat the Bills Jags -- stink and should be an easy W for Bills.

Thanks MY BAD! -
What are you talking about? If its SPYGATE you have it backwards it was the OFFENSE that learned the other teams Defense plays.. The Pats D never knew the O scheme (how could you steal those signals? they are sent in via radio)
-
As a fan of a different team I figure I MAY be able give objectives both teams need to do to win: Bills: 1. Must run the ball and stick with the run (No 12 carries total) 2. D must stop Reggie Buch 3. Fitz and the O can not have 3 or more TO Phins: 1. Stop CJ and force Fitz beat you through the air. 2. Have Bush & Co. well enough so Tannehill doesnt have to carry the load 3. Must not have 3 TO in the game. My opinion is both O's have had TO issues and the teams whose O takes care of the ball best will win.. My gutt say: Bills: 24 Phins: 21

We are two lousy plays away from being in first place
PatsFanNH replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Or worse the total choke by the Pats kicker against AZ or the TD called back in the same game on a phantom Hold on Gronk... but they dont matter you are what your record says you are.. lol -
Hit on Fred..How is that not called??
PatsFanNH replied to Bufcomments's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Was he a defenseless Player? No, he ws lowering himself for the impact Was he a QB? No, not at all.. Those are the only blows to the head rules.. RB (or in this case WR running with the ball) have no said protection.. Look it up. -
Yesterdays game was GAWD Awful for both teams. Both made to many DUMB penalties. That said the O for the Bills was fine and attacking the weakness (per rosy colvin this AM on 985) of any 3-4 defense by hitting the TE and RB out of the backfield going against LB and lets be honest sometime d lineman in coverage. BRILLANT game plan by your OC. As for the OP notion the Pats getting old? On D they are EXTREMLY YOUNG, and on O we have 2 stud young TE a rather young O line.. Brady has 2-3 top performing years left and Welker and Lloyd well be good for awhile IMO. Are the Bills close? Honestly I dont know both teams played gawd awful D yesterday and neither D is truly that bad... OR that dumb with penalties usually.

Man, these refs are totally favoring Indy tonight.
PatsFanNH replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am NOT complaining about them, they are what they are, but I was just pointing out fans of Pats and Packers can say the Replacement refs HATED their team and were biased... Also you have to know as someone else stated this is a business and they want keep their top money makers on the field and the refs know this.. so the top tier QB's will get almost EVERY call.
