  1. I agree. This is a large story not written about. The whole Rice appeal is about the contract the NFL and NFLPA signed and exactly what you stated. I would hope (yeah I know ) that the NFL would create a repeatable process, but unfortunately with $$ being the #1 issue, this can't happen. Also you know the NFLPA wants a repeatable process, because at the rate they're going there will be a suspension without merit (or indictment) that the league will be held liable for in the future.
  2. I think your tv feed will still be behind the radio. If not, I'm gonna do that too!
  3. Thanks for the slow motion of the play. But it's pretty clear that he moves early in real time. I heard this play on the radio and John Murphy said "I know I wasn't the only person to see that was I? I'm in the press box and could see that, you would expect people 15 feet away to see it too."
  4. Everyone seems to think it was a fumble and the Bills for lucky. It looks to me as if he regains control of the ball in his right hand after the bobble and changes the direction of the ball directly to center of the pylon. I think the key here for control is his right hand changes the direction of the ball, meaning there is control /possession. The ball hits the pylon squarely on the inside edge (since it toppled our of play perpendicular to the side line. After he hits the pylon with the ball it comes out. I still think it's a clear touchdown.
  5. Looking at the play over and over it's obvious that Watkins bobbles the ball at the 1yd line but regains control (in his right hand) and hits the pylon with the ball. The call is correct, touchdown.
  6. But.............That should open up our "Final Bid Price" thread from July... just to see who's close. BTW as a wise man once said: Stayin!
  7. Let's hope the trust puts the Bob Jovi bid where it belongs. Ground up in the freezer.
  8. I'm glad he didn't try. He protected the ball and made sure that the Bills won. That is the definition of a team player!
  9. Easy, you were looking at the Week 1 maps, not the main NFL page. I only stumbled upon that information Wednesday afternoon, awaiting the week 1 maps to post.
  10. Direct from the "NOTES:" section of the 506 Sports main NFL page: NOTES: Networks with the darker background color will have a doubleheader. In week 17, both CBS and FOX will have a doubleheader. Projected lead national broadcasts are in bold. Games protected from being flexed to Sunday Night Football are in italics. Weeks 5-17 subject to change due to flex scheduling. New in 2014: games may be flexed from CBS to FOX or vice versa. Source: http://506sports.com/nfl/

  14. I don't know, but its's all mute anyway, irregardless of all of the intensive purposes. BTW, irregardless is in the TBD dictionary??
  15. What I find to be worse about that sequence is that the Booth required a review of the play, and it was determined to be reviewable before the snap-spike, that amount of time should have been put back on the clock (from 2 seconds to even possibly 9 seconds). What's worse is that because the spike was never a play they restarted the clock upon the officials being set (luckily they gave Cincy more than enough time to get set for the field goal). Cincy should not have had to rush the last play as much as they had to.
