I know it's just preseason, but holy shneikey. A guy moves his eyebrow and gets flagged for illegal motion. happened at least 4 times. on one play our RB white gets clotheslined, ripped down. no call. but that punt call....one of the worst i've ever seen. i heard an espn guy said something about the replacement refs being trained on a 90 yard field.

I have been a fan of Tank for a couple years, and was jacked when we drafted him. He seems like a real football player. Anybody notice how he looked the other night? Thanks.

My wife works at the dome downtown here in St. Louis, and I was running with the hand-held camera guy for the championship game against Philly a few years ago. I ended up standing midfield while Kurt Warner was being interviewed, and even ended up in the locker room for the speech...I was hiding in the next room while Martz delivered his motivational speech that led to their loss to the Cheatriots. On another note, I was about 10 feet from Jeff Buckley at the Hi Pointe in St. Louis, crowd of about 20 during the tour to promote Grace. He was awesome. -
I'm glad you put that in about Todd Collins. I went to the game in Chicago the year after Kelly quit, and couldn't remember the qb, except that my friend who got me into the game (and on the Bills sideline) looked at AVP and said he was the worst looking athlete he'd ever seen. All neck, he said. I don't read the articles about Demetress, but I see his mug and his name all over the place.

He changed his name when he hit Philadelphia. When he played for us, he was Demetrius Bell. To me he never was all that good a player. I don't know how he can change his name and suddenly be mentioned in the same breath as Jason Peters. Demetress looks like a female version of the name Demetrius. I think Cordy Glenn will be a better player. Make that Cordie.

Had my hands on center stage at a Springsteen show in Carbondale, IL 1981. He howled the end of Jungleland looking me in the eye from about 2 feet away. -
There are so many reasons to be optimistic about this squad. From a coached-up Fitzpatrick behind a healthy line, 2 top shelf running backs, a good receiver corps (much improved over last year's that gained nearly 4000 yards).....led by the brilliant schemes of Chan Gailey....Vince Young adding a new dimension.....Let's just keep our fingers crossed that this group stays healthy. The defense....finally a pass rush. Big improvements there. Healthy Kyle, second year Marcel, monster Mario, Anderson.....strong backups in Kelsay, Carrington, Troupe....imagine if Merriman gets his mojo back!! Shephard, Morrison, and that guy from Green Bay......with Tank Carder and Bradham backing them up. Solid at safety with Wilson and Byrd. Corners.....Aaron Williams, Gilmore, McKelvin, McGee, the other young guys in there..... Wanny at DC looking to resurrect his image. This team looks like it's gonna be a lot of fun to watch. Can't wait. I feel this way just about every year, but for some reason this seems more real. Big move when Mario signed....stamped the town as a choice location for players. Can't wait.

There was a horrible call in a playoff game v. Cincinnati....on 4th down Lou Piccone caught a ball for first and goal, and they called Delay of Game (after a timeout) and nullified the gain. But the problem was, they called Delay of Game AFTER the play had concluded....the flag hit Piccone in the back on his way out of bounds. The next play was an incomplete pass and the game was over. Lotta money on that game, I suppose.

Excellent question. Somebody else's. My jaw is killing me.

One of the best hits I have ever seen.

At first glance it looked like he massacred the guy. The receiver was down and out. The announcers were not out of line saying what they said, and they were not afraid to change their stance once they saw the replay. I loved it when the crowd saw the replay and went nuts. Also, the coach pointing at the scoreboard and screaming at the ref. But again the refs refuse to look up at reality, so they threw him out of the game. Hello Gronk? Hello? Can you hear me? No that was not a truck. That was Nigel. Nigel from Spinal Tap. That hit was an eleven. Yeah, it was one louder. Hold on, here comes your mommy. -
At least he didn't tear a hammy opening a box of cereal, or whatever that one guy did about a month ago. I pulled a groin typing this, by the way.

Sorry I posted twice. I think Coppage might be a little small and slow, but he sure racked up the yards. -
He's a quarterback from UW-Whitewater, and I read his name on one of the early UDFA threads. Anybody hear anything? Whitewater won 3 straight national championships, and he's a good leader. Camp fodder.

Animated GIF reaction to the first round of the draft

My take is that Steelers fans are never happy no matter who they pick. Unless it's Jack Lambert, any pick is not good enough. -
Rd 5, Pick #147: LB Tank Carder - TCU

I'm a Wisconsin fan. In that Rose Bowl Tank Carder was in on EVERY play. He ruined the Rose Bowl for me, but at that point I became a huge fan. I thought he might have come out last year, but he stayed. He is an awesome football player. I believe he will excel in Buffalo. -
RD 3, Pick #69: WR TJ Graham - NC State

I'm gonna wait to hear Buddy's comments. I think that the people who actually run the drafts tend to know a lot more than those who talk about them. First impression is WTF?
