  1. That other guy signed away from the Rams, Chris Williams, was the 14th pick in the 2008 draft. Chicago Bears. So he had some skill too. Hopefully he will rediscover his talent with good coaching. He started all 16 games for the Rams last year. If he's good enough to start this fall, then he was a good value signing. If not, maybe a solid backup and future cut.
  2. I was just looking through the recruiting page on ESPN. I went back a few years. Seems that in 2010 Seantrell Henderson was the #1 rated OT in America. In fact, he was the highest rated recruit for the University of Miami. In 2011, Cyrus was the #1 rated OT in America, and was the number 1 recruit for the University of Alabama. Obviously these guys have some physical gifts. Seantrell has also mastered the art of smoking dope, but he has managed to make it to the point where he is now a Bill. Cyrus had his injuries 3 years ago, and seems like a pretty level-headed dude. Cyril Richardson was not as highly recruited, but he was the Big 12 offensive lineman of the year the last two years, and was a unanimous All-American guard last year for Baylor. I think we have just drafted The Wall. Put them with Eric Wood and Cordy Glenn, and lay down some serious yards the next several years. You guys already knew this, right? I'm just punching it up again. I think we're good to go on the OL.
  3. If they can set up camping at Darien Lake and Indian Falls Lake, maybe. I'm sure the playahs will dig the Casino action in Niagara Falls.
  4. I don't care about next year's draft as much as I care about this year's team. Bills were a handful of plays from being a winning team last year. Keeping EJ on his feet will make a big difference. Another year with the coaching regime, including a new QB coach, will certainly help. Having Watkins will also help. They have taken steps to improve the team, especially the running game with Spikes and moving Kiko to his natural position where he should do even better. I'm stoked. I'm glad they got Watkins. I watched Clemson complete a bunch of passes, and I kept thinking it was Boyd. It was Watkins. all along. Watkins.
  5. My wife walked in the house as I was kneeling in front of the television, screaming at the top of my lungs, at the end of this game. I was very proud of Wade for pulling the team off the field. They got completely robbed out of that game. It ended up on the cover of the front section of USA Today on Monday morning, with a picture of the WR landing 5 feet out of bounds a yard short of the first down marker that ended up "Just give it to them."
  6. I remember watching that field goal and thinking, "they should have at least 3 seconds to do something." The field goal took 7 seconds off the clock. That was weird. Rams blew it, though, by not using Marshall more. And the Patriots were tackling him whenever he came out of the backfield on a route. Blatant holding. Mugging. They got away with it, and that was nonsense.
  7. The article was posted on the Twobillsdrive.com main page this morning.
  8. I like his writings. I've emailed him before, and he usually responds. He's sensible.
  9. Henderson was the number one offensive tackle recruit coming out of high school. He got with the wrong crowd or something. Probably spent most of his time in a fugue state. But he has the size and dimensions to be productive. Maybe he'll dry up, man up, and knock people on their backs. Wouldn't that be nice?
  10. I was reading all the negative stuff in his article, and was gearing up to send another email to the guy when I got to the part that was a pretty direct quote from me. Although I used the word "spleef" instead of marijuana.
  11. The positive guy? The one who drank the koolaid and said the Bills had a great weekend? That was me.
  12. The way that Whaley manipulated this draft is a work of art. We got Mike Williams, Bryce Brown, and a whole lot of rookies, including the best WR in the draft, and 3 gargantuan homo sapiens to keep EJ safe and warm.......and to blow holes for Fred, CJ and Bryce. This offense could become a force of nature. Big time. People will fear us. We will crush our enemies, see them driven before us, and we will hear the lamentation of their women.
  13. Yeah, that makes sense. I hope that he does well.
  14. I'm still trying to figure out why they took the linebacker from Louisville over Borland from Wisconsin. That puzzles me. But Kenny G, he got some vibe going. He wouldn't come to Buffalo if he didn't think he had a shot. And they wouldn't bring him in unless they had a reason to believe. Maybe he's the next undrafted star, like Jason Peters or Nickell Robey. Or maybe he's the next remake of Hayley Mills.
  15. Rookie OL can adapt to the NFL pretty quickly, faster than most positions. Basically the same concept.....you plow over the guy you're supposed to. The draft class of OL are all massive and pancakers. I think this line can DOMINATE. Wood is great, Cordy is very good, and the other veterans are decent. Hairston may be a wild card, if he's healthy he might just play. I can't wait to watch these boys maul their way through the league. Yeaah,...
  16. The Bills are free to trade their way back into the 1st if they so choose next year..... And they can sign Free Agents to compensate for that. All is not lost. Let's get the car on the road.
  17. That came from Back to the Future too. When Marty's dad tried to tell his future wife he was her destiny. Loved that.
  18. Sammy. Sammy Watkins. Sorry. Sorry about that. I agree with you guys. Need to see it on the field. But I think we're trending well. I got the Sherlock joke. I'm a dumbass who needs a lot of help, guys. Please help me.
  19. I really like the direction this team has taken since they hired the Dougs. They have become more bold and decisive. The only problem I have is they kept the special teams coach, and then blamed it on inadequate players. Most great teams have excellent lines on both sides of the ball. That's where it starts. If you can give your quarterback enough protection to find the open guys, and can blow holes open for the running backs, you can control the game. I think the behemoths that we added in the draft will get this done. We have a good system to teach the OL. We were 2nd in the league in rushing with only a couple quality linemen. Now that we have added the linemen and Wakins, and the new RB, I think our offense will flourish. I guess it all hinges on the Quarterback. He's smart, fast, and has a big arm. And he seems dedicated to improving his play. The defense lost Byrd but got a lot tougher against the run when they moved Kiko to the outside, and signed Spikes. He is nasty. I believe that the other linebackers will also improve. If our DL can put pressure on the QB, that eases the loss of Jairus Byrd. He was really really good, but not irreplaceable. The pundits think we are in for a crappy year, but I'll tell you what. I wouldn't want to play the Buffalo Bills this year. It will not be fun any more.
  20. He is not openly gay, or he would have already made history. Not that there's anything wrong with that. How do you retire when you don't have a job?
  21. I did not notice any impediment. I think he speaks very well. He comes across as very intelligent, sincere, and articulate.
  22. Get the big picture. Whaley worked the draft like a stockbroker. The picks are commodities. He got Cyril Richardson AND Cyrus K. by moving down 3 spots trading with the Rams. He moved down a few and got the Big Man from Miami (Santrell whatever) by trading with Tampa. These offensive linemen, if they can stay healthy and off the drugs, could be our wall for the next 10 years. These are not reaches, they are investments in gargantuan homo sapiens who could save our QB from harm's way. I believe he stole the RB from Philly with a 4th rounder in next year's draft or the 2016 draft. I think Doug Whaley masterfully manipulated his way into the best draft in years. Time will tell, but I am in love with the way he ran this draft.
  23. Great point about Kiko. We got a great player, moved back 8 picks, and drafted the QB we wanted. Ha ha Rams. Ha ha Dixon.
  24. If you examine EJ's first season, I think you'll find he did a pretty good job. When he was healthy, he had some very solid games, and he did have some nice deep throws. He's a great athlete. I think he came back a week too early for the Pittsburgh game. That was rough. Look what he did to the Jets....and Carolina. Compare his first season with Troy Aikman 1-15. Joe Montana didn't get rolling till his 3rd year. EJ's got great size, is super smart, and is dedicated to his team. I think the future with him is bright. We just drafted 3 gargantuan and talented human beings to add to a Pro Bowl calibre center and left tackle. We will build a wall in front of EJ. The year the Skins pasted the Bills in the Super Bowl Mark Rypien was sacked 8 times. All year. That's what we're building here. A giant wall to keep EJ safe from harm. And our defense is going to be better. Bring it, bitches.
