I'm guessing the kids were drunk. Why else would they be on the beach that late at night? Some guy comes out of the dark, confronts them, and things got a little crazy. If he punched the kid in the face, don't you think he would have hurt him? I'll bet Kromer packs a punch hard enough to hit a kid. The kids lied. That's why the cops sent him home. we'll hear the truth sooner or later.

Linebacker depth... a concern?

I am not worried. -
Bills Release Jeff Tuel and Claim Matt Simms
TC in St. Louis replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why wouldn't Simms be an upgrade over Tuel? He's got the bloodlines. I'm in favor of this. By the way, I am aware that my previous sentence carries no weight whatsoever, and is meaningless in the face of the world. -
That was in March.

It's strange how rumors can blow up so quickly. I was wondering why suddenly people are talking about EJ not making the team, being traded to Philly, not being good enough to make this team. It looks like speculation on behalf of Joe Buscaglia of WKBW. His interpretation of a few comments here and there led him to publishing an article about this. So it got picked up nationally, and suddenly we are, as SI says, "in panic mode." Not cool. Let's at least get to camp with the full squad, and see who does what. Even if he's right, and EJ wasn't first round material, plenty of non-first round quarterbacks have fared well in the NFL.

They're just hurting for topics. How many Pro Bowls has Fitz played in? How many has Cassel? Advantage Cassel. EJ had a decent rookie season, and wasn't horrible in year two except for the Houston pick 6. Never got back. I don't think it's panic time at all. We have a great oc, hc, and quarterback coach. Not to mention a huge talent base at RB, WR, and pretty good TE. We'll see how they work up the OL. I am not in panic mode. I'm happy.

HeadsetGate ? pats strike again ?
TC in St. Louis replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I remember a game years ago when the Pats ran about 16 screen plays, and each one gained huge yardage. It was almost as if they heard our defensive signals. The article a couple years back in which they quoted Flutie and others.....that they were listening into opposing teams defensive calls....leads me to believe that they continue to do this. It's like playing battleship and being able to see the other side of the game. A lot easier to sink a battleship when you know exactly where it is. -
OBD versus the Draftniks
TC in St. Louis replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think they made a smart move getting Cassel. He's experienced enough, and good enough to handle this offense. We don't need greatness from him. While he's on the team, we can find out what we have in EJ Manuel. I go back to the Senior Bowl, when EJ was the MVP and showed a ton of talent. Somehow he got himself to the point in life where he was the starting QB on FSU, and hence drafted by the Bills. I'm so sour on Doug Marrone right now, I honestly blame him for what went wrong with EJ Manuel. EJ started as a rookie, took some lumps. You know the rest. What rookie quarterbacks do better? We shall see. I like the picks they made. They have reasons for every one they made. The only problem I have is that they didn't take a shot at La'el Collins. You'd think that having Rex on a private jet to New Orleans to try and compete on the open market....would have had his rights had they just thrown down on a 7th rounder. -
Inside Buffalo's 2015 Draft Room

Fun to watch. Those guys look like they know a lot more about what they're doing than we do when we speculate. -
2%!! That's incredible. I don't think Christian Bale got down to that in The Machinist!! Dude must be in phenomenal shape!!

Great point. -
RD 6, Pick 188: LB Tony Steward, Clemson
TC in St. Louis replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was the 8th ranked player in America coming out of high school, and the number one rated linebacker. Right now we have the #3 guy (Cyrus K), #5. Karlos Williams, #8, #20 Nick O'Leary. Incidentally, #9 is La'el Collins. These are all superior athletes. if the guy missed a coupla years with injuries, that means he has more miles left in the tank. Sammy Watkins was #39 that year. -
RD 6, Pick 194: TE Nick O'Leary, Florida State

I mean Alabama. Cyrus K. Sorry. Can't come close to spelling that. -
Rd 5 pick 155 RB Karlos Williams Florida State
TC in St. Louis replied to Drreef2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Haven't read all the posts. I don't have time. However, it has occurred to me that they may have drafted this guy to be a strong safety candidate. Definitely for special teams. When he was a senior in high school, he was the 5th rated player in America, and the number 1 safety. He's gotta be a great athlete. -
RD 6, Pick 194: TE Nick O'Leary, Florida State
TC in St. Louis replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
20th ranked prospect in America in the 2011 recruiting class. FYI, #5 was our new RB Karlos Williams, and number 3 in the nation was Cyrus K, our Offensive Tackle from Miami. -

Consensus All American, how can this possibly be anything but a great pick? -
Big picture, guys. The team has grown by leaps and bounds since Marrone hit the pavement. The big question is this: Who is on the roster after the dust settles? It's not a gimmick, it's reality. What I'm saying is that the off season pickups have softened the blow of not having a first round pick. Seriously. I look forward to draft day every year. It's huge. I'm a little upset to watch the draft go by for an entire day without a pick. Living in St. Louis makes it tolerable, watching the Rams do what they do before the bolt for the west coast.

Before we got to last night's show, the Bills had "drafted" Incognito, Harvin, Clay, and the fullback from Minneapolis (forgive me if I don't remember his name, I'm too lazy to look it up). Now we have a 2nd round pickup of a shutdown corner, and a 3rd round pick of a mauler from Louisville. 4th rounder? don't need one. Great draft so far.

Who should they have drafted at pick 50
TC in St. Louis replied to djp14150's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
covered with john miller in the 3rd. our 2nd round pick was the top guy on their board. maybe we have some scouting at work. -
RD 3, Pick 81: OG John Miller, Louisville
TC in St. Louis replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I cannot fault anything this team does right now. They don't randomly pick these guys. They want them on the team. -
RD 2, Pick 50: DB Ronald Darby, Florida State
TC in St. Louis replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I study the draft to a pretty good level each year. Couple years ago I had never heard of Kiko Alonso. Last year I had not heard of Preston Brown. I don't know who this guy is, but the Bills chose him. I'm wondering if they could have traded down a few slots and still got the guy. -
The 1st player selected by the Bills will be...
TC in St. Louis replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are only a few players I would take for sure at 50. Maxx Williams, Dorial Green Beckham, Gregory. Otherwise, I would trade down and get more picks.
