We are going to so get rolled on Sunday...
TC in St. Louis replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am prepared for a thorough massacre, but I will be watching and hoping that the Bills defense can get something done. If we can get a few shots at Brady and let's say the weather sucks, who knows? I don't see how we win this game. I'll be watching. -

I was trying to come up with people who might actually be better targets, living or dead, for Tyrod Taylor. I think Ignatius is an obvious choice because he's tall, smells bad, and looks a bit like Fred Smerlas. Gobel is a bit like Don Nottingham with a lousy haircut. Fred Flintstone would probably do well since he could propel an automobile with his feet. -
When Tyrod drops back and looks downfield, he sees......who....Fred Flintstone? Ignatius J Reilly? George Gobel? It's time to make a move or two. Seriously. Also, they should not have played Shady yesterday. Even if he's 1/4 of a step off, that is enough to prevent his lightning quick moves. So, who's our starting rb? Gillislee? The Pats are shaking....with laughter if that's our starting RB.

100 million dollar contract, half of it spent on weed, apparently. His drug suspension shows just how freakin' selfish and stupid he is. Next, he comes back and can't make it through two practices without an injury. He's missed 7 games, today we could have used a large presence in the middle. If he doesn't play next week, they should trade him.

This seems to be sort of a quiet topic, but Shaq Lawson is coming off the disabled list. I read somewhere that he's in perfect health. I think that could add a new dimension to our defense. If Dareus can get healthy, and we get Lawson up to speed, this could be a huge addition to an already pretty good defense. I'm stoked.

Todd Gurley - Nowhere to Run?
TC in St. Louis replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This dude can break one at any moment. Their play calling is bad, and their line is worse. However, if he gets any daylight, he can take it to the house. Let's not give him any daylight. I hate the Rams. I really really want this win for the sake of my town. Both towns, actually. -
When Hughes was on the sideline spitting blood, that's when the game turned. Till that injury he was all over the place, and they had a decent pass rush. The penalty on Gilmore was a bad call. They should have been punting, instead they were gifted with another set of downs. The defense wasn't that bad until the pass rush disappeared. How do you stitch up a tongue?

Get up off the ground, rub some dirt in the wound, dust yourself off, get back in the game. Next.

Team restructures E. Woods per Rodak

They also created some cap room when they cut Manny Lawson and the fullback. I see a Gilmore day coming. -
I don't think any of these people actually play the game. Sure, we're playing half our schedule against top 8 teams, but if you want to be a playoff team you have to beat good teams. Our offensive line is solid. Healthy running backs. Really good quarterback. Solid tight end. Healthy receivers. 2nd year with Roman. Vastly improved offense. Defense was #19 last year. Think of the second game against New England. We lost, of course, but Brady was very confused, yelling at his linemen. Rex is capable of creating that sort of havoc out there, and I think the defense will be better this year. Much better. Our defensive backfield is great. There is reason for optimism. If somehow we get a win in Baltimore I like our chances coming home against the Jets. After that, who knows?

The league is doing whatever it can to help the Rams succeed in LA. If they really wanted to succeed, they'd dump that egomaniac picture of mediocrity Jeff Fisher and get a real coach. I thought the show was boring. I hope they lose every single game, especially the week they play the Bills. Gurley is fantastic. Aaron Donald is a freak. What about Brandon Wiese lecturing Goff about being a QB? What did that guy ever do? (I think it was Wiese, I don't remember.....didn't he win the Heisman and go on to accomplish zero?)

First time in years I'm not as hooked.

OP here. That about sums it up. I love this team, I'm sort of mailing in my efforts to keep up to snuff on the team. I still do it, but I feel a bit like I'm going through the motions. I can tell you what's going on, what happened yesterday with overweight Karlos Williams, Gilmore, etc. Maybe it was that Dri Archer didn't have any interest in even showing up to see what the Bills are all about. What's going on? I was looking forward to watching that water bug jitter all over the field. I'm here again today, and I'll be here every day till the end of time. -

That's just it. I don't have any emotions right now. I hope it turns around. Maybe it's because the Rams left the year the Bills were finally coming to St Louis -

OP. I'm not discouraged. I'm just not as stoked as I usually am. Every year, even the total crap years, I'd be much more into it than I am right now. That's all. I think I mentioned that I will be watching every game. I hope I get it back. It's sort of like a marriage that loses a little spark after a while. Might be time to order a Buffalo Bills Viagra pill. Right!! And picking up all the New York Jets debris. I've never heard of these guys they keep signing. EK?? What??? -
I check on the Bills every day, but I for some reason don't have the passion, and I think it's because of last year's disappointing defense. In struts Rex, the defensive genius, inheriting a team that led the league in sacks for 2 years, and was #4 in the league....while playing New England twice a year!! The vibe was, this is going to be a great defense. It sucked. With Rex and his boys in charge, it sucked. Now he's brought in his twin, and has lost some key pieces, and he tells us it's going to be different this year. How? I'll believe it when I see it. I'm not saying I believe they will be a bad/mediocre team. I think they've got the talent to beat just about anybody. But my expectations are non-existent. I want them to win, of course, and I will be with the Bills Backers in St. Louis for every minute of the season. But I'm just not as hooked. I do believe Gilmore will be signed soon. The media makes it look like it's doomed. But they'll work it out. With this ownership group, money is not an issue. The salary cap is the issue. They'll find a way to get it done.

Justin Zimmer is the highest rated DT, athletic wise, of the past 10 years. Speed strength agility etc. google him.

Driskel. He's the one.

Number one rated pro style quarterback coming out of high school. Obviously the guy has some gifts. He came out of the ether and finished strong at La Tech. You guys are right. The reel I looked at was from last year at La Tech, where Bradshaw played. He is the fastest quarterback in the draft. I know nothing about anything. I'm hoping we end up with Shaq Lawson, the Sheldon Rankins, or somebody great in the first. -
Just watched his highlight reel. I think he's the one. He's fast, has a big arm, and fought through some tough times to get where he is. 4th round, 2nd pick.
