  1. The questions they keep asking our coaches are annoying. Sorry if this isn't a virgin topic. But I've been watching the recent pressers with Rex Ryan (they just go on and on, harassing him about the job situation) and Lynn (Pro Bowl snubs) I'm wondering if these media types have any idea what they're doing. One guy kept pressing Lynn about only having 7 wins, as if that's all his doing. If I were Rex Ryan I might just tell them I'm not answering any non-football questions. It's embarrassing. These clowns ask questions like they're writing for the Sanborn Weekly Register.
  2. Rex needs to get rid of his twin, hire a real DC. The numbers do not lie. Reggie Ragland will help. Getting a safety will help. Maybe Shaq Lawson will come around. If we dump the guy after 2 years it will be difficult to get a commitment from a new coach. I would get rid of Whaley. Overrated. Narcissistic. Why did he cut Cockrell? That guy is a stud.
  3. He needs to have his hand slapped for hiring his twin. He promised that Rob is a great coach and the defense would improve. That dude must go. Either get a new DC, or just let Thurmond take over. Rex can oversee the universe if he wants, but when he gets his hands on the defense, it fails. The defensive failure is the reason they lost to Miami and Oakland. Play halfway decent defense in either game, we are 9-5 RIGHT NOW. We've scored a bunch of points with a mediocre QB and no receivers for at least half the season. Keep Rex. Get rid of Rob.
  4. Who cares? What if somebody tipped him off on the way to the press conference....either way he probably was not in the best frame of mind, considering the lack of effort shown by his team in an important game. The reason they suck on defense has more to do with people getting blocked and missing tackles than anything else. Gilmore ducks when somebody's coming at him. Dareus sits out games. This team needs a major kick in the butt. That's why I think Coughlin would be the right guy. Or R. Lee Ermey.
  5. Who makes the tackles? Rob or Hughes? Then, Rob needs to shut up and let Hughes get on the field. Rob Ryan was fired in New Orleans for leading one of the worst defenses IN HISTORY. Look what's happening now in Buffalo!! I don't know if it's motivation, scheme, practice techniques....but the boys ain't tackling, and they lack intensity. Something's gotta give!
  6. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyser_S%C3%B6ze What about this guy?
  7. You know what Ryan Leaf got on his Wonderlic? Drool. I had to post that. I was shocked nobody used the drool joke yet.
  8. Kroenke didn't want the all time losingest coach being associated with the Rams. Too late. The guys on the radio in St. Louis today were saying the only reason he's been around so long is that Music City Miracle, which was a bad call anyway. He's a terrible coach.
  9. He has shown no ability to bring the team back in close games against good competition. He was awful against Miami and Oakland. I would rather see EJ out there right now. I wouldn't bring him back. We're last in the league in passing. Sure, we have no wideouts, but there are guys open and he can't hit them.
  10. Who do you think would win if the Bills played themselves?
  11. On the few plays they had pressure on him, Carr threw the ball away or made bad throws. There were times when he was having so much fun back there he was laughing. It was like a picnic most of the time. And he could put the ball on the money. We should have had pressure on him all day long. By the way, what is Shaq Lawson doing? We got more pressure before he got on the team. Have the revised their scheme since his arrival?
  12. I had the same conclusion about Prescott. In fact, I think I had a thread that said, In the 4th the Bills take Dak Prescott. The same guy must've trashed me too. However, Prescott excelling in Dallas doesn't mean he would have done the same here. For the record, I was also lobbying for us to take Russell Wilson in the 3rd round back then. I actually think Cutler might be worth a look. This is the island of misfit toys. He has had a rough time in Chicago, but that is a brutal place to try an be a quarterback. Big arm. chip on shoulder. worth a look.
  13. On the play before the bomb that beat our rookie, Carr was in the huddle laughing. Why? Because there was no threat whatsoever of him getting hit by anybody on our team. He dropped back and lobbed a strike to the guy who beat our rookie 6th round pick. No pressure on the QB. You may have noticed that whenever we got near Carr, he threw it away. The two or three times that happened. When Rex raises his fist as the signal for the defense, get ready. Touchdown coming. Tyrod Taylor is not the answer. He has the highest sack rate in the league. He has no downfield sense. How on earth did he miss Watkins wide open downfield? What about that pass that got intercepted? He was throwing to #88? He was not even close to being open. It's hard to be positive after a b.s. loss like that. Granted the Raiders are 9-2, but we should have, could have won. How about throwing on 3rd and 3 with 30 seconds left in the first half? Just run the damn ball, let the clock run out (Oakland wasn't calling time outs), and go in for the half. Instead, give them the ball and let them march down 55 yards in 25 seconds and kick the 3. Idiotic coaching. Rex must go.
  14. Bring back Jim Leonhard. Man, Meeks was meek in that game. Ed Reed himself should suit up for this week.
  15. On the 4th and goal, and i don't know how to include a video, the safety knocks Woods off his route in the end zone....you can see he is bumped toward the line of scrimmage while the ball is in the air. That's why Woods was asking for a flag. Should have been illegal contact, not necessarily pass interference....but he did contact him and affect his route while the ball was in the air. Also, the hit by Sherman in the end zone on our wideout should have been considered unnecessary roughness. Our guy wasn't looking, it was far away from the action, and Sherman was a just being a dirty player. Unnecessary roughness. shermanpowell.gif http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2016/11/8/13561728/bills-seahawks-refs-examining-late-game-chaos-in-mnf-thriller
  16. I'm sorry. Are you the arbiter of this board? If you don't like the topic, use the greatest four letter word in the English language....Next. Please don't influence me not to come back and read people's ideas and to share my own. That's rude. What's your problem? I'm mad we lost too, but I'm not going to take some condescending tone with a fellow fan. If I posted vitriol like this every time I read something stupid like one of my posts, I wouldn't want to come back. Have a blessed day, my friend. I thought you weren't allowed to trade compensatory picks. Check. You're not allowed to trade compensatory picks. Especially if they have not yet been awarded. You know what? Check that. I'm out. Been on this board for God knows how many years. Been a fan since 1964. I don't need this any more. Good bye.
  17. The Miami game and the Jets game both made me want to puke. The Jets prepared to beat us like it was their last game on Earth. Fitz and Chan focused, everything worked to perfection. Next. Miami? What the hell. That one just ruined my weekend. However, Shady shouldn't have played. he was off a quarter step, and that made all the difference. And we are throwing the ball to nobody. We got outcoached. Sunday morning I was thinking about special teams......I thought that New England's guy would look at our kickoff coverage, which has been great so far, and probably pretty predictable.....and he would throw some wrinkle or two to surprise our guys....and that's what happened. Our guys were taken out with an original unexpected scheme and Amendola whisked on by. We need to get healthy and find somebody who can run a route and catch a ball.
  18. Then look for them to be cut again next week, and reinstated on a slow day.
  19. I honestly didn't think we played all that poorly. We sacked that bastard a few times, which was good. Usually we never get to him. We had some blown coverages, and a lot of penalties (more than deserved, especially the offensive pass interference on #85) and a few dropped passes. But Brady is going to carve up every team he plays. At one point we had #51 covering Gronk. WTH!! We had no shady and a bunch of second rate wideouts strolling around out there. And every time one of our wideouts got hit, he/she seemed to have to go to the locker room, presumably for a bra adjustment. The Pats are healthy and firing on all cylinders with the goat at QB. We should have gotten our butts kicked. And we did..... Who expected us to win? Who? At least we have an extra day to get healthy, and if anybody is questionable, give them the night off. I think we can beat Seattle next week with the team that played yesterday. I think we'll give them all they can handle. If giving Shady an extra week gets him ready for the stretch run, let's do it.
  20. I was feeling a little down and out watching Tyrod throwing to those guys out there yesterday. But now I feel better. We have signed Ed Eagan and Manasseh Garner! They do this every week, just to keep us from lulling us into a collective coma. They sign people we have never heard of and put them on the practice squad, and then they activate a guy or two to the 53 man roster. Then they put 18 people on the injured list. And I'll be watching next Monday. The Pats made a trade today. They're always building something in there. They probably already have chosen their 3rd round pick in next year's draft. It will be like a late 2nd because the Browns suck.
  21. Gronk pushed off, like he always does. It was obvious. He pushed him out of the way, turned, and the ball was there.
  22. Pretty much every person in America is picking the Pats. There are two guys at work picking the Bills, but one of them is Bosnian and thinks soccer is football. The other guy is the kind of guy who always gets it wrong. Whenever everybody picks one way, it goes the other way. Think back to the Arizona game. We had just been humiliated by the Jets and we were going to get lambasted by the Cardinals. But we beat the hell out of them. bottom line: I'll be at the Fox and Hounds in Chesterfield, watching the game with the same dedicated Bills fans that watched last week's debacle. We never give up.
  23. I hope that the Bills just jackhammer blitz the crap out of this guy. He's gonna get 350-400 either way, why not punish him? Hit him high, hit him low, hit him where the apples grow. If this is one of those games where they dance around and don't get any hits on the qb, I'm gonna puke. Might as well just jackhammer the guy. Why not? Make him remember the Bills. Like remember the titans, but with the Bills jacking him up.
