If he played against the Bills every game, he'd have 2500 yards a season. They couldn't stop this guy. Welcome aboard.
-
Wait and see. He might be a very good signing.

You people are nuts.

Beane again showing why he is a top GM
TC in St. Louis replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
All these experts in here one thing in common. They don't know anything more than anybody else on the outside. And I am in the group. All I can do is hope. -
This is why he probably signed for the minimum. You need backups.
-
I'm happy with this upgrade. I'd never heard of him, but Beane and Kromer obviously have.
-
Dude runs great routes and only dropped 3 of his last 175 or so passes. For that reason alone, we should take a look.

Should we trade Ed Oliver?
TC in St. Louis replied to Floridagatorsbuffalobills's topic in The Stadium Wall
If they can get good value, I say trade him. Or hypnotize him that every game is played on Thanksgiving. Man likes turkey. He's in no position to make salary demands. My guess is he was drunk when he posted that. -
Drafting Has Been A Problem For Decades
TC in St. Louis replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can't read all the negativity. We have had a great run since Beane came in. The team, like all others, has made bad picks. And they've made good picks. The reason KC keeps winning is Mahomes. The reason we are winning is Allen. How'd you like to be a Bears fan? They traded up, for no good reason, to take Mitch Trubisky. They passed on Mahomes (as did several other teams) and DeShaun Watson. How bout Cleveland and the Jets, who could've taken Josh? Hell, I think we took a speedy guy from North Carolina State instead of Russell Wilson. We chose Torrell Troup one pick ahead of Gronk. Mistakes are made. -
The holding call ruined a great football game. It handed the game to the Chiefs. It would have been fun to watch Philly try to tie or win the game. However, Mahomes is a freakin' wizard out there. And we beat him 2 of the last 3 games. Should have won game #2. We're good, too.

The kid is a winner. He's projected as anywhere from a 5th round pick to priority undrafted free agent. You probably know his story and how hard he worked to become the quarterback for the national champs. At some point we're gonna have to get somebody for the backup role. He'd be on a rookie contract, and might be a great choice.

I don't understand the pick. I'm confident they had their reasons. They tend to keep things confidential. Wait and see.

op here. unlike some of you, I don't read every single thread on this page. I shared my thoughts, and that's it. Sorry to be redundant.

Based on last Sunday's sad performance vs. the Bengals, plenty of people are ready to write off this team as a contender. Including me. We've been spoiled by all the winning. Our expectations are justifiably high for this group. For our guys to play such an apparently passionless game hurt us. We probably feel we have more passion than the team showed last week. Right after we lost, I put something on Facebook saying "No excuses. Cinci outplayed my team and deserved the win. We went 14-4 and I think maybe we ran out of gas." This was before I read that several people said we "ran out of gas." That's what it looked like to me. Since the players stood on the field and watched Damar nearly die right in front of them; some of them openly weeping, most of them just stunned, they have not been the same. They did not play very well in victories against the Pats and the Fins. Yet, they won. Pretty resilient. But you could tell their hearts weren't yet healed. Our team normally would've trounced both those teams. I cannot blame them for a "half-hearted" effort....that's probably all they had left. But that wasn't enough to beat a really good team. This isn't an excuse; it's a reality. These are human beings who suffered through many crazy situations. Hell, Thurman's mom died the night before the game. Even that may have cast a pall on the organization. Murph had a stroke. This was a heart-damaging year for the boys. I think that the time off will help them heal. I refuse to consider that this team is in trouble. I think they'll be back, stronger than ever, and they will return to form.

So what is the first coach or domino to fall?
TC in St. Louis replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
This team ran out of gas. Maybe their emotions were drained by the Hamlin injury and aftermath. They played poor yesterday...lacked passion. They didn't get up for the game, while Cincinnati played intense, focused, professional football. We have the ingredients to continue being a top team. Josh is fantastic. The OL needs a couple intense talents. I think we should keep Edmunds, and get a new defensive strategy. Elam and Trey are going to be fine. Hyde will get a new partner. Miller will return. When Von was playing, our pass rush pressure rate was top 5, now it's #28 (not including yesterday). Daquan would've made a difference. Maybe trade Ed Oliver. He's inconsistent. Like many of you, I have no idea what I'm talking about. We all love the team. This is the only thing I know. -
We won. Despite all the mistakes, we won. Miami's pot-vaping coach can continue to believe they should've; could've won the game, but the truth is, we whipped them. We also whipped ourselves, which I hope they've gotten all the self-whipping out of the way. The mistakes we made were nothing compared to the fumble by the Raven's quarterback. That changed the playoffs. We won. Right?

Nicotine is highly addictive. He needed a jolt so after the game he could explain how the Fins should've won the game. Come to think of it, maybe it was weed. The Bills should've won by 21.

Rules question: Illegal block to the back
TC in St. Louis replied to simpleman's topic in The Stadium Wall
Andrews was gonna catch up and tackle the guy. The block from behind took him out of the play. Should've been a penalty. The Bengals would've had the ball in good field position and had to earn the victory by scoring something. Anybody remember when Darrick Holmes fumbled against the 49ers on Sunday Night Football? At the goal line, and returned 99 yards to turn the game around. -
I have a friend who is a lifelong fan of the Bears. He said Roquan was not having a good season for the Bears. They got a first round pick for him. I guess he fits the Ravens better than the Bears, but I'd rather have Edmunds on our team. I think they will find a way to sign him. Beane is a wizard at this. They'll structure deals that kick the can down the road, and the cap will continue to increase.

They were both cheap shots. You can separate this issue from Damar's. These plays happened. Johnson was injured, and Josh could have been seriously injured with that leg whip/roll whatever it was. The guy did it on purpose.....and should be fined. Of course, the big issue is Damar. Hoping he comes out healthy and happy. But the other incidents need to be dealt with. What if Josh had been put out for the season?
