Which Bills Decision Infuriated You?
TC in St. Louis replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was freaking out because they also had Leinart in their hands, and should have traded out of the pick. And still gotten Ngata. He went 7 picks later. Arizona wanted Leonard. But when they called Whitner I started throwing things. -
Josh Allen's Pro Day Highlights The Bills tested the bejeezus out of Josh Allen, and they think they've got their franchise guy. They know a lot more about him than any media person or even the most ardent fan. Weeks ago Josh said he loved Bills Mafia, and I thought that was pretty cool. What I also thought was cool was his appearance on Josh Allen's Pro Day. What an arm. He will be our star for a long time.

What amuses me is the same people who had mocks showing Allen going number 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10,11,12,13.....same people will say he's no good. The Bills tested the crap out of this guy. He's got a FANTASTIC arm, and a great work ethic. With proper coaching, a good OL, decent receivers (including tight ends), Josh Allen has the potential to become a huge star. He's a good kid. He's got potential. Makes no sense to throw down on him now that he's a Bill.

Did the Bills REALLY get their guy?
TC in St. Louis replied to Scorp83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm on board with the pick. I don't care for Rosen, and when I heard him after the draft saying he was mad at the 9 teams that passed him and would make them pay for it, I thought you're an idiot. At least four of the teams had zero need for a quarterback. There were people who had Allen going with the top pick. Working in Buffalo or Cleveland or any northern team takes a kid with a strong arm. He has one. They'll train him up and he'll be a stud. I also love the linebacker. He's a monster. Great draft. I think we'll move back into the second tonight. -
Quote of the day from Ourlads guy:
TC in St. Louis replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's the first half of the quote. Didn't matter to me exactly who said it. I just thought it was funny. "I'm tired of hearing everybody talk about what a great draft class this is," said Dan Shonka, a former Philadelphia Eagles scouting executive and general manager of independent scouting service Ourlads.com. -
"It's quantity, but the quality isn't there. If anybody thinks this is the class of '83, they're in the concussion protocol right now." They make a good case that this class just might be a bunch of fluffers. They hype coming into this draft is unprecedented. Let's hope the talent we pick lives up to the pick itself. I think the Bills know exactly which guy they want, and they will get him. That's what they'll say tonight anyway. I think it's Lamar Jackson. I hope it's Baker Mayfield.

Is it fair to judge Josh Allen based on tweets?

Harsh. Is the OP obligated to research every post before sharing a thought? -
Lamar Jackson says he had zero meetings with Bills
TC in St. Louis replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sandbag job of the year. I bet they are on the phone till #12 pick coming very close to trading up. More smoke. Might even trade down 3 spots to get another 2nd round pick. Bam. Take Lamar at 15. -
Worst Bills Draft Year, 2004/2005?
TC in St. Louis replied to Kaenon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I remember one year we traded back into the first to get John McCargo!! That was a great idea. Good news is we also drafted Ko Simpson in the 4th. However, the saving grace was getting Kyle Williams in the 5th. Oh, and Ashton Youboty in the 3rd. Marv's draft. -
I know it's a dumb question; a moot point. However, in retrospect, if you had to move up in the draft for Jim Kelly, what would you have given up? Ditka gave up an entire draft to get Ricky Williams. The Vikings gave up a freakin' fortune to get Herschel Walker. The Rams gave up a ton to get Goff. The Bears jumped up like idiots to move up one spot in the draft. Having Jim Kelly lead our team for years. What's that worth? If the brass believes there is a guy who can take this team to the promised land, they are obligated to do whatever is necessary to get him. Do you people believe the Bills have zeroed in on one guy? I know they're not gonna tell us till Thursday (unless they move up and take Cleveland's number one pick).

The Lamar Jackson Sandbag
TC in St. Louis replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
AJ McCarron won 2 championships. Some had him as a 1st rounder. Lasted till the 5th. Cleveland was ready to give up 2 2nd round picks for him. Maybe we’re ok right now. -
Because of what DeShaun Watson did last year....in my opinion everybody is pretending that they aren't going to draft Lamar Jackson. The guy is a stud. Lightning fast, big arm, a defensive coordinator's nightmare. Nobody's talking about him, but I'm thinking he's going early. I don't know about top 5, that seems dumb. But Houston found a STAR in Watson, and Lamar is a faster, more explosive player. According to the internet, Watson ran a 4.66, and Jackson a 4.34. Tyrod was a scary asset as a Bill. His main problem was his tendency to panic in the pocket and not be able to find receivers. But his talent made him a tradable asset and Cleveland's number one guy right now. If the Bills continue to participate in this misdirection, and he's there at 12 say Hello Lamar. Welcome to the Bills.

I don't think we're gonna know where Mayfield goes until somebody actually walks the card to the commissioner. There is a bunch of smoke, mirrors, misdirections, sex, lies and videotape that it's crazy. I thought the Bears were out of their minds when they traded up one slot to get their guy, Trubisky, last year. They gave up their pick, a 3rd and 4th and a 3rd this year to move up one slot. Insane. The Bills aren't that desperate, are they?

I check Drafttek every week or so. Like any other mock, it's a crap shoot. But they go all seven rounds. And they have lots of information on pretty much all the players in the country. Anyway, this is how they see the first 3 rounds for our Beloved Bills: Pick 12: Baker Mayfield 22 Rashaan Evans 2nd round pick Hayden Hurst TE South Carolina James Washington, WR from Oklahoma State 3rd round pick Uchenna Nwosu, OLB from USC Anthony Averett CB from Alabama I love Mayfield. I hope they get him Does anybody have thoughts? I can delete this thread if it annoys people.
