The Bills best WR was drafted in a later round. So what? You judge a team by results. Anyone who wants to compare the results of the Patriots and Bills would be hard-pressed to come up with any meaningful comparison. You can hate them all you want, but how much do you wish that the Bills history of the last decade was the Patriots history over that decade? On one hand you claim Brady is everything and the reason they are great and your icon has him in a dress. Which is it? I wish the Bills had a pansy like Brady. Some of you remind me of Red Sox fans from before they won a World Series. They thought there was a rivalry with the Yankees. No one in NYC knew about it, though. Let the Bills have a .500 season for once and be happy with that instead of always crying about the team you wish played at the Ralph. Let's see if the Bills can even finish ahead of the Jets for a change, or Miami, before crying about the Pats all of the time. It gets old. If all we have to think about is crying about the Pats, we have nothing as Bills fans. Hey, under that logic, perhaps you're right. Carry on.

My favorite part of cuts was seeing Easley survive.

I agree. The folks picking us to whip Cleveland are basing this on something I cannot figure out. That said, any game can go any way, as evidenced by the season opener where Buffalo pounded the Pats.

If we are to call the front office of NE not so great, one can only imagine the applicable term for the Buffalo front office.

Da'rick Rogers cleared waivers

If management thought he had any chance of being a star, we are left with two possibilities. Either they are stupid for letting him go or stupid for thinking it. Neither one would inspire me on their abilities. More likely is that the player is neither qualified physically nor mentally. -
You are 1/2 correct, sir. Charley Jones over Gowdy. DeRogatis was the best I ever heard in any sport. The only guy ever who would tell you that he sees a weakness in a defense only to have the offense exploit it soon after. Often wondered if teams listened to him and reacted accordingly.

Tuel starts, E J comes in on the second play.

Might as well trade for Tebow and start, him, or maybe reverse our defensive line with the secondary. -
Bills plan for Tuel as week 1 starter

It is possible. He could also win rookie of the year and end up in the Hall of Fame. Anything is possible in sports. Usually the race is to the swift, though. If the Pats weren't such an unknown quantity, I would make them close to a 21 point favorite. With all of their personnel upheaval, 14 seems like a reasonable number. -

Win what? -
I only throw stones that have landed at my feet. I would still make an exception at a lake or river.

True, someone who is never wrong never does whine. It's an incomprehensible reaction for a resident of Mt. Olympus.

Maybe you have been wrong twice.

Stop being so negative.

Thanks for taking the time, Matt in KC. Maybe I have overreacted because of the riduculous amount of hype this pre-season. I just think fans tremendously overrate personnel of their teams in all sports. Then when things go wrong, the excuses rain down on the coach, the refs, bad luck etc,. Fans hate to face up to the fact that perhaps their team usually stinks because of inferior personnel. I get tired of people blaming Wannstedt or Gailey or Jauron or whomever. No coach would have taken these teams to the Super Bowl. Very few coaches in football are difference makers. I know that he is hated here but in my opinion Belichick is the best coach I have ever seen in any sport. Yes, Brady is great, but when he went down, a garbage qb looked great with the Pats. I am just sick and tired of watching garbage for over a decade. If Manuel is the real deal and Marrone is good the future is bright. If not, it is going to be more of the same.

You really don't believe that the team that is best through the air and plays D wins? Just about everyone realizes this. Running the ball has become secondary. This isn't really an opinion, unless all analysts have the same opinion and are wrong.

Fine. I remain on the fence about him. Thanks for taking the time to address one of my points.

Congrats on being the third poster to be unable to discuss the points made. Obviously you disagree with something but seem unable to make a rational argument against any of the points. None were unreasonable even if you disagree.

Pretty funny stuff since he's a relative. Sorry for your disgust. If you want comments that play like shills for the team, you should start a site called "Buffalo Bills, Rainbows, and Lollipops". Then everyone could post things only related to bad bounces and bad calls and injuries to explain away poor management and execution. By the way, which points were ridiculous?
-
Buffalo broke camp. Oh, that explains their performance. Good theory. Didn't every other NFL team just experience camp? If Helu's fumble had gone to Buffalo do you really believe it would have made a difference? Hopefully their first draft and moves bear fruit. Unti then, yeah, I'm frustrated. Buffalo is without a real QB unless Manuel is that. We don't know yet either way. If he isn't, we will be seeing a dropoff from the days of Fitz. Hopefully Manuel is the real deal. Then the team is headed in the right direction. If he isn't, my post will be considered great optimism a few weeks into the season. No one here knows how Manuel will turn out. Yeah, I'm frustrated. How many years of inept management before you get frustrated. As of this moment they are the worst run franchise in the league. I understand that the new group will need time to make their mark, but that could take three years or so, before all the rubbish is tossed.

Which points are ridiculous? If you want to make a sweeping declaration you could at least offer up something specific. I believe everything I posted in that comment. Refute whatever you think is ridiculous. Perhaps you believe that RB is incredibly important and you could point out how the best teams depend on great running backs. That was true before the NFL became a pass first and run as an afterthought business. Great running backs don't equal success. Great quarterbacks do. Having a great D matters, especially a great pass rush. The Giants have demonstrated that repeatedly. Or maybe you believe taking Graham was a good pick. Or maybe you think Posluszny was a great linebacker.
-
I was optimistic after reading some of the hype put out by the Bills and by those who watched them at camp. That all evaporated. Hated the drafting of Graham. Hate it more, now. Very disappointed in how Alonso looks so far. Wondering if Hughes will turn into Maybin 2.0 Wannstedt was not the problem. He played vanilla because vanilla looks like it may have been the best optiin. How can a team go so many seasons without an excellent linebacker? How many players would hurt this team if they got hurt? Spiller has a decent backup and RB is the most overrated position on the field.Having a great RB means nothing in the standings. Gilmore would hurt. Maybe a couple guys on the D line. SJ. EJ, even though we have no idea what he is. All that said, they have an outside chance at .500 because the NFL is a game of attrition, so if you get luckier than the other guy with injuries you can still compete.

Am I the only one not particularly impressed by Alonso?

TJ may not be one of their top 5 receivers. He stinks.
