Important games are playoff games, games in the second half of the season, games against your division, and because there are only 16 games, every game is important to some extent. This game is low on the pole as important games go. I remember Buffalo crushing New England in an opener a few years back. Its importance turned out to be zero.

Heres a great stat for ya: Of the teams that don't rotate captains weekly, the following teams don't have a QB as a captain: Buffalo, Jacksonville, Minnesota, Oakland, and Tampa Bay.. They have in common bad qbs and/or fluctuation at the QB position.

What I get is the desperation of some to find something good in this embarassing mess.

I've heard a few professionals opine on Manuel. None have been particularly kind. Care to name any professionals who have been very impressed by Manuel, other than on topics that have nothing to do with on-field performance.

However, that is usually because that is when they mentally grasp it all. The problem with EJ does not appear to be mental. He just seems an inaccurate passer. Not sure that is correctable, but like everyone else, I will be pinned to the television for the opener, somehow believing it's possible. Geno, on the other hand, threw with far more accuracy, but made tons of mental errors. If he shines this year it will make it all so much worse. No fan of a team sincerely roots for one of its players to fail. Lucky for you that you can't bet your house.

EJ's biggest problem is accuracy. People can bring up this and that, but in the end, if the QB can't hit a receiver in stride, nothing else matters.

Which team is loaded with talent?

Who would be stupid enough to want to acquire TJ at all, let alone in a trade?

The scariest part is that the Bills 1st stringers don't seem to be better than other team's 2nd stringers.

Maybe some of us who have been critical of EJ aren't as dumb as some of the self-proclaimed "smart" fans. He either shines this season or he is gone. Hopefully, he shines.

When the best thing you can say about your QB is a litany of excuses, there is a major problem.

Wow! There is somreone who still believes EJ is an NFL QB. I am still giving him this season to prove me wrong. If he doesn't he will definitely be gone by next season.

I used to think EJ wasn't very good. I was wrong. Fitz is wayyyyyyyyyyy better. Trent was better. EJ is a horrible thrower, and a worse field general. He is making Tampa look like a possible top 3 D. How many QBs would you not rather have than EJ? Including backups, there are about 35-40. Is there anyone left who still believes that EJ will be a starting QB by next season?

I am not disputing what he might become. What has he done to distance himself from the others?

I like Watkins, but how exactly has he distanced himself from the others?

Is there anyone in football stupid enough to trade for TJ?

Falling -EJ He has this season to show he can throw a ball to someone in stride. If the above does not resolve, the rest of the team isn't all that important.
