  1. the real question is... How many catches would Sammy Watkins have if he was a Giant?
  2. we have a QB... his name is EJ Manuel and he will be ready to roll come next season. If we can get another QB in here for pennies, I'm all for it, but if not, let's try and keep draft picks rather than send them away
  3. one thing that was NEVER in question was EJ's attitude and willingness to work...
  4. why is everyone looking at Brown as the new #1? I'm going to assume that Dixon is gonna get first crack at the lead role next week... either way, we have run a committee approach with Freddy/Spiller so it's safe to say that Dixon/Brown will be the new combo until we get a time table on Freddy
  5. stop telling my students that the Bills are for real this year
  6. he is... hence why I ordered my Orton jersey
  7. he can manage a game... ground and pound, play action to our WRs after
  8. Nope. I would have done EJ for Cousins though if the Redskins came knocking
  9. the streets
  10. Getting the feeling that he won't resign here. So... let the trade options begin, granted the Trent Richardson deal may have spoiled the chances of getting a late 1st rounder. Teams who need a RB who are in a "win now mode": Carolina Panthers - they are down to a potential third string situation. I could see them willing to give up a draft pick for a back like Spiller to revamp their run game. San Diego Chargers - Ryan Matthews is complete glass and can't be relied on. Woodhead is out for the season. Spiller seems to be a blend of both of their styles. Houston Texans - if Foster is hurt, they may need to upgrade over Blue. Baltimore Ravens - They don't seem to be sold on Bernard Pierce, however the new rookie looks good. Teams who need a RB who are in "building mode": Minnesota Vikings - trade for AP straight up? I would. Oakland Raiders - MJD is gone, McFadden is on his way. A) Do you think the trade will happen? B) What scenario do you foresee?
  11. teams who travel east tend to play bad... I hope that trend continues
  12. Basically we could have Mike Evans + next years first round pick... instead we have Sammy Watkins. Don't get me wrong... Sammy > Evans all day every day, but when you don't have a QB to get him the ball, does it really matter?
  13. ^ regardless is Cleveland messes up the pick, it's still theirs
  14. TRADE DOWN FOR OUR FUTURE FIRST ROUND PICK: Did the Browns do it? Did they know that EJ was rated way too high? Did they know that we would never figure out the riddle that is correctly using Spiller? Did they do the unthinkable and get the two guys they wanted all along, while collecting a top 5 pick the following year?
  15. the $$ will go towards signing a proven QB free agent should EJ not pan out... Manning, Brees, Warner (Cardinals) were all QBs signed to revamp a team
  16. give him another year... if he sucks, our pick will be even higher. after that we draft another QB, give him 2 years, and repeat... we are bound to guess right sometime
  17. Bills vs Pats week 17 AFC East championship game would be the greatest sunday of my life
  18. but Spiller has two weeks off... EJ will fall in love with him after the Falcons game
  19. our playoff hopes live and die with CJ... if he turns it up, no team can stop our high octane offense and with some help, we get the wild card... without CJ busting big plays, it will be another Bills season of close losses and rebuilding
  20. Spiller will silence all critics this week and go completely bananas statistically
  21. Spiller needs to erupt in this game
  22. Spiller is having a terrible year... but come fantasy playoffs, he will be the difference maker for teams who invested in him... Mr Garbage Yards 2013
  23. he will get yards, sadly no TD's... since he isn't allowed on the field during goal line sets apparently
  24. we are rushing him back... plain and simple. we all know Spiller is telling the staff/doctors what they need to hear so that he can go out there and help this team. the "freddy" mentality has rubbed off on this kid and he wants to bleed out there with his team mates. the adult in this situation, aka the coach, needs to be the mature one here and recognize Spiller's heart, but focus on healing his injured ankle. coach rayray808 would sit him this week, ease him in with some carries against Pitt, and then "give him the ball until he throws up" against the Jets.
  25. I really hope we let him rest one more week, let him play a few snaps against Pitt, and then unleash him at full strength at home against the Jets... it could very well end up being a very important game for us
