  1. I give him to the bye then . . . bye bye
  2. So much for changing my avatar.
  3. Yes! If even half of these chages work out, this team will have no excuse not to have a winning season. I drink the koolaid every year but it's tasting better this year than in a long time.
  4. What he said. This move just seems very out of step with all the great moves Chix have made so far this year. Not a character player, not a proven performer. Shades of past regimes. I hope I'm wrong.
  5. +1 and thank you. Nix is not playing fantasy football, there are other realities at play beside straight up ability on the field. Also please rememeber Chix did not draft Lynch or Evans and any time you have new management, there is going to be a certain amnount of out with the old so they can clear the decks and build the team they envision as opposed to keeping someone else's vision cobbled together. These trades may not have been genius on paper, but I'm SOOO glad Chix had the stones to start from scratch, make some mistakes early, learn from those mistakes, and work toward a concrete vision of the Buffalo Bills. Go Chixley!
  6. Anyone know how much cap space we have? Mario and the others took the lion's share I'm sure . . .
  7. Hopefully you aren't actually on the council if you're reading TBD during the meeting?
  8. The Seattle game hardly counts as a "home" game, only 3 of the last 5 games will be at the Ralph. Eevryone feel better now?
  9. I agree with this, Fitz is the guy this year. But Thigpen as the only alternative? I suppose Smith could come in a pinch. But is there no decent QB available for depth?
  10. I'm all for taking a LT for the reasons stated above, but it's pretty clear Nix prefers to take BPA in first round. Given the dearth of first-round LTs, I would be surprised if we didn't take BPA. Remember the franchise has a history of reaching for need and that hasn't worked out real well for us.
  11. Easy! Chixey Stache. Done.
  12. This. Mario, Anderson and SJ cost us a lot of cap space. We still want to extend Jackson. We still have to pay our draftees, and FA isn't over. We made an offer to Bell and he wanted more; more power to him. I am actually glad to say we spent enough this year we couldn't pay Bell the money he demanded. There are always trade-offs; I think Buddy is making the right decisions. Didn't want to see Roscoe go either but you can't pay all the vets what they want and still bring in talent like Williams.
  13. I always liked Roscoe. Best of luck to him (unless we meet in the playoffs!)
  14. As long as it doesn't tranlsate to "high motor"
  15. The money only makes sense when local/state governments can be co-opted to subsidize the stadium at taxpayer's expense. Neither the City of Los Angeles nor the State of California have any money right now to subsidize anything, and won't for the forseeable future. You never know what deals billionaires and their consortiums may make but I doubt anyone is going to make a losing bet on the NFL in LA anytime soon.
  16. One reason we've had so many inopportune injuries is we've had marginal guys forced to try to overachieve in their positions. In other words, our medicrity drove our injuries, not the other way around. That may end this year. With our FA acquisitions and a good draft, we could finally be able to play well without having to overplay and risk injury. Go Bills!
  17. Agree Freddo is a top priority but there is a whole year left on his contract, not like the Bills haven't made some overtures. I think both sides are waiting to see how FA and draft go before getting down to brass tacks. I'd be surprised if we don't have a new deal in place before training camp. Resigning Choice may be part of the maneuvers. Based on what he's done sop far this year I trust Buddy to get it done.
  18. +1 Hope we make more use of Corey Mac this year. Kinda our secret weapon in the ground game.
  19. In addition to Nix and Whaley, I have to think Wanny is having an impact on the direction we are going. Notice we seem, for the first time in a long time, to know EXACTLY what we want on the D side. I know we don't want to overhype ourselves too early but frankly, I'm speechless at the success of FA so far this year. Next up: the draft.
  20. Thank goodness for deer overpopulation. Next to the $100 million dollars that seems to be the thing that really sold Mario!
  21. I'm very happy with Buddy right now and with Mr. Wilson, who ponied up the bucks to make this happen. But I do think we all should take some credit too. I'm sure OBD does read our posts and it was finally apparent that another year of 7-9 or so would cause mass defections in the core fan base. Buddy understands there are no excuses in year three of a rebuild and he had to bust a move both in FA and the draft to ensure a creditable season (9-7 or better). I'm not trying to take anything away from the front office here, they got it done in a surprisingly big way and I am optimistic the draft will be good this year. But I do think fan pressure helped the FO take the big leap on this deal.
  22. Actually I think Fitzpatrick is a VERY good backup. JUST KIDDING!!!
  23. Congrats. I think 250 to your third charging buffalo. I'm looking forward to when I can make up my own crap below my avatar.
  24. If they can bring Wood back after what happened to his leg, I'm hopeful Williams will be back up to snuff this year.
