  1. Let's be realistic. We all know why most top-tier coaches won't come here. Now add in that RW is not going to hire anyone under 60, or anyone who would ever publicly question management, or even privately refuse to toe the line. Which is going to knock out just about any HC who would want to come here. Wouldn't it be more effective to keep Chan as HC but force him to actually be HC and not a glorified OC? Hire an up and coming OC to take that side of the game from Gailey (not the offensive genious we were led to believe, and clearly not capable of holding both jobs). If Chan doesn't improve his gametime decision-making with a good OC behind him by the end of the year, fire Chan and elevate the new OC to HC, at least he'll know the playbook by then.
  2. Wha??ZERO chance of making playoffs. I hope they win out, I really do. But they won't - they could easily be 6-10 again. My avatar is right - it's a trap!
  3. Yeah great, now that it doesn't matter we will have to risk the best player we have.
  4. I'm done with Gailey too but nothing will change under current ownership. If Chan is fired, RW will hire another underperfoming HC and we will be no better. We could be better off hiring a good OC and forcing Chan to be HC which right now he is not. He's not running the team like an HC - they are not ready in all phases and he is not motivating them. I think it is interesting that as the D has improved, the O has declined . . . is it because Chan is more involved in the D,. and he can't gameplan for both phases? And what happened to ST? It's no surprise we can't pull it together when the HC is a glorified OC . . . I don't know how ownership can put up with it, unless RW is now completly disengaged.
  5. NOW I'm ready for Bills to lose out and draft high. Season is over, folks.
  6. That was our entire season encapsulated in one quarter
  7. what a horrible play callwe never make those and they kjnew it was coming with Choice in
  8. Freddy down, Spiller available . . . let's throw it long in the rain
  9. McLovin! Last year my least favorite player This year he's been clutch Anyone know why the difference?
  10. I was thinking something like this toosomething's not right, Chan can't be this blind
  11. I can't rememeber the last time that happened in our favor anybody know?
  12. That would at least render the "win out or lose out" controversy moot. If Bills play with heart, they have an even chance. Wood is a big loss but the defense is blossoming. FREDEX is back and Spiller is on a roll. If they just go through the motions . . . rout.
  13. We go through this every year. There are lots of good reasons to root for them to win. First and formeost, ITS WHAT FANS DO.
  14. True. Fitz is a 7-9 QB. To go with our 7-9 coaching staff. Comes from a 7-9 owner. That is the magic number to keep us fans on the hook without damaging profitability.
  15. This. Fitz is not the answer. Never was. Unfortunately, I don't think we have many options in the draft. Topic for another thread.
  16. Anyone know where Fitz' contract stands? What kind of financial hit would management have to take to bring in a new QB?
  17. We also had a chance to beat the Texans. Add to that the epic nature of the 49s loss and it's no surprise us fans are demoralized. I'm also seeing a shift in Chan's vibe, he was brimming with confidence and hope for two years and now he's just kinda there. He actually said something like "it's hard to win in the NFL" after the Miami win and a spit up in my mouth. But, there's nothing like winning to cure losing . . . the Indy game will define the rest of the season, IMO. I don't like our chances, but if we find a way to win on the road against a good team, anything can happen. Go Bills!
  18. A second-tier franchise QB would work just fine if we had a top-tier defense and playoff caliber coaching. We have neither. We need a top-tier QB to overcome the systemic deficiencies in the team. Rivers and Romo sound like Bledsoe to me.
  19. No really, we set NFL records for bad defense this year. How did you miss this: first team to give up 550 yards in consecutive games since the 1950 NY Yanks. OK, technically not a record, but cmon, who are the NY Yanks??
