  1. Some are saying the same about us and Marrone . . . let's hope both teams show them wrong . . .
  2. I for one remember the general sentiment well. No one was excited about Gailey. Most wanted Cowher or Shanahan or some other big-name coach. But, we were all glad to be rid of Jauron. I think the sentiment is pretty similar about Marrone. Maybe more excitment than Gailey because he is fresher, younger, without as much baggage. But I think few expect much better than 7-9 next year . . . which is where we've been more or less for 10 years. But, I don't object to a thread that asks specifically for thoughts on the future, without a lot of snarky replies or shouting matches or name-calling. Just what you think, not what you think of other posters' thoughts. I'm game.
  3. I hope you're right. But I would feel a lot more comfortable with someone with NFL OC experience. Even a little bit. Well, I guess we'll see in a few months . . . Go Bills!
  4. Ummmmm . . . . see my avatar.
  5. That sounds tooom much like Chan being HC and OC. Doug won't have time to bring up junior and learn to be an NFL HC. Would have liked to see an experienced NFL OC, like the DC choice which I like alot.
  6. That would be a very strange thing to say . . . linky?
  7. No try ShenaniganzI know he's not in the movie but would be right up his alley!
  8. Fendi Onabun (Fendi Onobun)
  9. I just don't see how a single successful season in college football translates into NFL HC of the future. Just don't.
  10. ^this. You said it much better than I was going to. And it is a shame, we'll never know how things would have gone with a true OC backing Chan.
  11. I've never understood how cutting people off from the franchise helps sell tickets. It probably makes people in places like Utica turn to the Giants or the Jets.
  12. FWIW, I always thought Cotrell and Fewell got short shrift. But,doesn't mean it was a color thing. There could be other reasons. Only the inner circle will ever know.
  13. Bills are a thoroughly dysfunctional organization as well. KW may be a better coach than his record indicates, but if he couldn't help the Cards more than a season or two, he can't help the Bills become a perrenial playoff contender.I would go with Lovie.
  14. 1. what does engineering have to do with football? 2. what does scouting have to do with football? 3. how did former TE Mularkey do as Bills HC? There is only one thing to look at: proven WINNING RECORD as a HC in the NFL. Not Whisenhunt. That context helps a little, but a losing record is still a losing record. And if Wilson really is handing the keys to the kingdom to Russ, even that context may misleading. I think we need a proven winner. If we had a good QB, I may be inclined to give him a chance, but we don't, and we won't, unless we get lucky in rd 2. We need someone who can win with a journeyman QB and/or a project rookie. Tall order I know.
  15. Because this is not good enough:Ken Whisenhunt Season Team Record 2012 Arizona Cardinals 5-11 2011 Arizona Cardinals 8-8 2010 Arizona Cardinals 5-11 2009 Arizona Cardinals 10-6 2008 Arizona Cardinals 9-7 2007 Arizona Cardinals 8-8 Might as well go 6-10 into the forseeable future. Thx to voodoo poonani for the data.
  16. Thanks for posting this data. At this point I am ONLY interested in a HC with a solid winning record in the NFL. Lovie and Reid look good. If we hire Whisenhut I will puke.
  17. OK but seriously, this guy is so special, he should have been getting 25-30 touches a game minimum all year long. When Fred is out, 40 touches. I resisted Spiller for 2.5 years but I admit I was WRONG. Why can't Chan admit it? After all he drafted the guy!!
  18. Spiller obviously didn't get the memo about the Bills throwing these last two games. He was benched for trying to break free for a score. The refs, on the other hand, obviously got the memo and did their part.
  19. That's what happens when the real refs go on strike and you're left with scabs. Wait a minute . . . .
  20. I love it. "Miami is playing one of their best games." No, they are just playing the Bills,
  21. We've wasted a lot more than 7 seconds. More like 12 years.
  22. Wonder if T Jax has had a chance to learn the playbook yet?
