Im sure McBeane pitched the 3-year rebuild plan to Pegs prior to the draft. Im sure they knew this would be a down year, the year you tear it all down to build back up. That said, Im also sure McD thought a "down year" would be something approaching 8-8, based on his overachieving in 2017. So the question is, do Pegs feel led on? Only they know.

most definitely. But that wasn't because of on-field performance... we went to the playoffs that year (and then not for 17 years). I understand there was a disagreement about Wade not firing one of his assistants after the loss. Probably also Wade was still upset he had to lie to the media about who decided not to play Flutie (it was Ralph). I think technically he was fired but really, I think he dared Ralph to fire him and was probably happy to walk away. Others on this board probably know more.

OK I did not think it was in McDermott's DNA to tank on purpose. Guess what: they are tanking on purpose. That is the only explanation. Anderson played through the game Monday, but now still has a concussion after almost a week? Sounds improbable. And Allen was well enough to practice. I'll take a 50% Allen over 100% Peterman for a range of reasons. Oh well, embrace the tank!
