  1. is JA as big in CO as he is in WY? If so you could be seeing a Broncos-Bills game in Denver...
  2. I was stationed in Groton 1998-2002 and felt bad for my New England friends. I even occasionally rooted for the Patriots to make them feel better, when it didn't affect the Bills. Then when NE got good, those same "friends" gave me endless crap about being a Bills fan. Obnoxiously so. I now hate the Patriots like no other.
  3. I lived in Dayton 3 years, tried to be a Bungles fan but couldn't quite do it. I did see the Bills play in Cincy once, I think 1995. Browns were an option for me growing up, but the team just defines "meh". Even with the Four Falls of Buffalo, glad I went with the Bills!
  4. coming from western PA, I am supposed to be a Stillers fan. I hate the Stillers. And their fans.
  5. perfect. McDermott knew 2018 was all about developing Allen and everything makes sense, except I will admit that McBeane made an error in ditching McCarron in the preseason. That mistake contributed to the need to keep Peterman playing long after it was obvious he needed to go. In the end it worked out but there was a lot of damage to fan morale.
  6. it would cause quite a stir if that incompletion cost us the game.
  7. lol no, but not every player is special. anyway, I am fine with your even-handed logic, I have read many of your posts and there is nothing wrong with injecting some reality in to the analysis, I don't count you as one of the haters. But as NoHuddle pointed out, there is such an element of illogical doubt on this very board and from "fans" in general, I cant help expressing some of my irrational exuberance to balance it out. peace.
  8. Oh no, there are posters ON THIS BOARD who what Allen to bust. And doesn't being a "fan" (literally short for "fanatic") primarily involve emotions? If I put my emotions aside, there would be no reason to follow the Buffalo Bills. Or any team or sport. I come to TBD because I am emotionally invested in this team. Trubisky is the floor. The ceiling is Mahomes. Not saying he will reach that ceiling, but it is not outside the realm.
  9. I don't feel like I need to defend Allen against every analyst and critic. I do feel I need to defend Allen against "fans" who want him to be a bust. In the end, only JA winning games will change minds. He will.
  10. Ah, 2 for the Ravens. I do feel better now.
  11. we have the D … 2019 preseason will be all about giving JA help on O. Lot of holes to fill, but if can get some line help and at least one bona fide #1 receiver, maybe also a TE, I think there will be many haters eating crow this time next year. if you actually watched the games, ranking Rosen above Allen is insane.
  12. que the "QB comparison" analytics that "prove" JA is a bust.
  13. but but but … his completion percentage is low! BUST!!!!
  14. but do they have rented beach chairs there?
  15. I hear Rex just bought a tricked out Ford F350 painted in aqua green and orange
  16. lolz. great find! but the "Chatter" seems to start and end with Rex.
  17. saw that too. seems like a lot of wishful thinking on his part.
  18. or did they mean Miami of Ohio? Yolo, I believe he is quoting Animal House... if so, great reference!
  19. then you are breaking the rules.
  20. irony is the phrase "football gods" has no actual religious significance, as no one believes there are any "football gods". Yet you have yourself injected actual religious beliefs into the discussion, which is what you say you were trying to avoid.
  21. If Beane doesn't find a way to mess up 10 draft picks and a zillion dollars in FA cap space, 10-6 is more likely.
  22. people forget hes only been an NFL HC for like 5 minutes. He's a solid leader and his game day coaching will improve, especially as he gets better players.
