Figuratively, he is still a rookie. I think he played 12 games last year + 3 so far this year = 15 games. not even a full season yet.
His second season starts after the bye.
Ikr. Funny, when Im watching the game or listening to NFL shows the retired pros who actually know something about how football really works gush all over about Oliver. Its only after the game that fantasy sports nerds and draftnik self-promoters talk about what a disappointment he is, because he doesn't have any sacks.
I know very little about football "in the trenches" but even I can see Ed Oliver is a BEAST who is disrupting the %&^% out of the offense. I cant remember who but one of the retired pros said Oliver may be the steal of the entire draft.
its how we beat them that gives us optimism.
self-confidence, maximum effort, clutch plays, making adjustments, finishing strong.
Havnt seen that in years and years.
Saw some of those posts and couldn't believe people are so clueless.
Josh showed his character today. Didn't get flustered. Rode it out, made the right plays and turned the corner with that rushing touchdown.
I think Russ Brandon had a lot to do with the big name/poor performance era. It was always more about selling season tickets than winning games. If you look at the timing of some of those acquisitions, it is just when the team looks hopeless that a big name is added. Mario is the perfect example.
