NFL Draft 2022 Second & Third Round Discussion Thread
TheBrownBear replied to UKBillFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
We are going to draft an interior lineman (or another CB) and the board is going to completely meltdown. Lol. -
Completely agree with all of this, but it's possible that they find their WR3 in FA after the draft with a guy like Julio Jones. Not the best of options and I'd prefer a WR in the draft, but I'm okay with BPA over WR if it's a significant difference in talent level.
-
Yes, we have some issues, but we did finish with the no. 1 overall defense last year (though the quality of our offensive opponents is still definitely open for debate). Sure, we've focused on defense in the first round the past three years, but our draft picks have been spread pretty evenly between O and D during Beane's tenure.
-
Yep. And Elam was talked about all week as a big riser on teams' boards. Listening to WGR yesterday, and many of the guys didn't think he'd last until 25.
-
I like how we talk about value based on talking heads projections of players. It's meaningless until these guys get on the field. I like Elam's physical traits and I trust in McDermott's and Frazier's abilities to coach him into our next lockdown corner.
-
Could McBride slide to 57?
-
We are now set at CB for the foreseeable future. And there is still a ton of value out there in the 2nd round. Love it.
-
If this was their guy and all they had to give up was a 4th? I'm all for it.
-
YESSSSSS!!!!!!!
-
Lol. Looks like a classy gal.

Sorry, man. I think I must just be getting tired of the Breece Hall threads. Also, it's still early here on the West Coast so I'm a cranky boy. I actually agree with you. CJ Spiller (and to some extent Marshawn) turned me off to 1st round running backs (for the Bills) forever, especially when you consider we got Thurman in the 2nd round and Fred Jackson as an UDFA.
-
You lost me immediately by listing Bishop Sankey who was the 54th pick in his draft
-
Never did one of these before. Pretty fun. I drafted for perceived need. And come from the Jauron school of no such thing as ever having too many DBs...lol.

my testosterone levels dropped precipitously upon viewing that picture

OT…Steelers legend Devlin “Duck” Hodges retires

Kinda weird to see a young guy go from serviceable NFL backup to CFL bench warmer in the span of like 18 months. Life comes at you fast. -
Just one of a million reasons I LOVE Stefon Diggs!!!
TheBrownBear replied to Apocalypse Nuts's topic in The Stadium Wall
A million reasons? I think you're spending way too much time thinking about Stefon Diggs. Yeah, I just can't get on board with the argument that our coaches got their asses kicked. It took a very specific set of circumstances that allowed the game to play out like that, which played perfectly into the one thing that the Pats were built to do more successfully than the Bills. I can live with the way we lost that game, since it was a one-in-a-million (okay, it's Buffalo, so, maybe one-in-a-few-hundred) type of scenario. -
The guy is an idiot and I want nothing to do with him. What kind of a moron doesn't show up for the rookie mini camps (absent a holdout)? How many 1st rounders are given up on after one season, and how many of those guys went on to turn it around?
-
Would you still like JA if he was on another team?
TheBrownBear replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Probably not. I'd be too annoyed that we passed on him for Josh Rosen. -
Josh Allen is built for Buffalo
TheBrownBear replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Von already called it a college atmosphere and that's true. Not going to be for every grown man, but those who LOVE football will come to love Buffalo and playing for the Bills. And Josh is the absolute perfect leader for such a situation. -
Bills Sign former Titan OT/OG David Quessenberry
TheBrownBear replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nice signing. Spot starter material and provides really solid depth at swing tackle.
