  1. Probably just me, but there's something really lol funny about "Let's get rocked!" playing as they cut to a commercial after a horrible Wilson interception as an injured Colts player lay writhing on the turf.
  2. Got to meet Bruce, Talley, Jim and Andre on the set of a United Way shoot back in the day. Tossed the ball around with Andre. All seemed like nice enough guys to the 11 or 12 year old me. Saw Bruce grabbing two buckets of KFC the night before a game. I think this may have been when he was either injured or on his substance abuse suspension. We said hello and he returned the greeting with a smile. Went fishing with House Ballard on Lake Erie as a kid. He was a real mild mannered, nice, and kind of quiet dude. Chance encounter with Glenn Parker while golfing in San Diego a couple years back. Said hello and thanked him for the good Bills memories from the 90s. Really friendly and outgoing guy.
  3. Trubisky is horrible. No thanks. I prefer Keenum based on his career body of work. And I agree with the poster who said Gardner Minshew. The guy isn't good enough to build a team around, but he's proven to be a very capable NFL QB when given opportunities.
  4. Just posted this in the all-22 thread. When you watch the film you see how often our guys miss clear cutback opportunities. Our line isn't nearly as bad as I thought.
  5. Signed up for the NFL+ service and I love the all-22 film. One thing I noticed with this game is how often there were fairly clear cutback lanes that were missed by our backs. Devin had a few that would have gone for nice gains if he'd read them correctly. A guy like Shady would have turned them into 10-20 yard runs.
  6. Yes, he could do all of that, but, by all accounts, he's a guy that, first and foremost, loves football and wants to play. He's not looking for a payday. He's looking for the opportunity to play the game that he loves.
  7. Omalu is pretty much anti-football in general, so it's not surprising he's the one saying it. There is no way in hell Tua retires now assuming he makes a full recovery from this concussion. I could see it with another major concussion on the heels of this one, but my understanding is that this is the first major concussion he's suffered in his career. People are right to be appalled at how the last two weeks played out for Tua, but this "he should retire" talk is way over the top, imo.
  8. Same here. I mean, they're not great, but most local sports talk radio around the country isn't either. I like being able to hear Bills talk during the day being marooned out here in San Diego.
  9. This defense will be disgusting if we can get those guys and Tre White back without suffering additional injury casualties. It's already the best in the league, but they have a chance to be absolutely dominating when healthy.
  10. Dang it! One of my favorite Bills ever. Can't say a negative thing about him. Not even any near fumbles. Just wait until Will Fuller signs with a CFL team!
  11. Starting to wonder if the OP's screen name and threads are meant to be ironic.
  12. Agree. And Isabella is more of a stash and develop type. He's not going to help you on the field this season. If you need that, you grab a vet who's been productive in the past that can slot right in.
  13. Oh, Isabella. Another guy who has been a pet of TSW posters for years. Guessing this thread gets to 10 pages before the end of the day. Having said that, "Get'er done Beane!"
  14. It was a ballsy throw at that moment in the game and he just dropped a dime. I remember when we had crappy quarterbacks and you'd watch the film and apologists would be like "what do you expect (insert: Tyrod/Losman/Edwards/EJ, etc.) him to do? None of the receivers are open!!!", because guys had very little separation or the windows were too tight or whatever. So many guys who could only complete a pass if there was like 5 yards of free space around a guy. Josh can fit it in there if his receiver only has 6 inches of separation and now that he's fully mastered the position, he doesn't even need that. His ability to anticipate is now top shelf stuff. Add that to his God given abilities and you have a truly generational talent. We are sooooo lucky to have this guy. He is must watch football for any fan, even those who hate the Bills.
  15. Move Gabe Davis to holder until his ankle heals. Shakir played well last week and Davis has great hands for holding (or he did until this week). Then we can cut Martin and sign Andy Isabella, Cole Beasley and OBJ.
  16. I just perused the Steelers forums and they almost unanimously expect to get blown out on Sunday. Seem like a reasonable bunch compared to the knuckleheads over at FinHell.
  17. Just took a look at the schedule, and wow, it really lightens up after Green Bay (who I think is overrated and a team we'll beat). It looks like a 14-3 record or 13-4 at worst, and 15-2 isn't out of the question provided we can get healthy. Beat Pitt and win 1 of 2 from KC/GB and I see us stacking wins all the way up until the Cincinnati game. And I like us in that game too, provided our D-Line is still intact.
  18. Salma and Liz Hurley are the exceptions to the rule.
  19. I'm not a Moss hater, but how has this been his "most promising season?" Outside of his one big run, he's averaging around 2.5 ypc. And his 7 catches have netted a total of 27 yards. That's the definition of stuck in quicksand, aka late career Frank Gore. I thought he flashed at times as a rookie back in 2020 (I'm one who gave him a pass for last season since he was coming off injury), but he just looks bigger and slower to me now than he was back in college and in 2020. Having said all that, I'm still okay with him receiving reps over Cook based on what we've seen from Cook so far. I at least trust Moss not to make negative plays.
  20. I feel like the Hamlin play has gone a little overlooked. It was a hell of a play not to freeze, but attack LJ and funnel him towards Poyer.
  21. This isn't a political post - just an observation - but I've seen many women/wives (okay, a lot of people regardless of gender) change drastically over the past few years in their behavior and world views. I'm seeing a lot of guys I know getting sort of blindsided by divorces or otherwise walking a very fine line trying to keep their marriages/families intact. It doesn't surprise me one bit that this is happening to Brady.
  22. Part of the problem is that Moss runs too upright. Singletary is better in those situations since he can get low and really drive forward with his legs.
  23. Singletary has crazy wiggle and can make guys miss in tight spaces at a truly elite level. He's one of the rare guys who can actually produce marginally competent numbers behind this line. I just went back and watched Moss's college tape. He had good vision, decent wiggle and really nice power for his size in college. I was a big fan of his when they drafted him, but he just can't seem to ever find a hole in the pros. Not sure if the speed is too much for him at this level, but he doesn't look like the same guy to me.
  24. Frazier and staff sure as hell know how to coach these guys up. Remember that Hyde and Poyer were seen as JAGs before Frazier and Co. got their hands on them.
  25. Yeah, it speaks for itself, but I wonder how we fare if you throw out the Miami game.
